LuAnn De Lesseps from, The Real Housewives of New York City, is separated from her husband, Count Alexandre de Lesseps. They are separated because the Count is swirling with a much younger Ethiopian descendant of royalty:

The mysterious Ethiopian woman identified as the cause for the divorce between the reality star LuAnn from The Real Houswives of New York and her husband Count Alexandre de Lesseps has been identified as Princess Kemeria Abajobir Abajifar. She is the granddaughter of King Abajifar, the last King from the Gibe Kingdom of Jimmaa, located in current day Ethiopia.

An inside source close to the Count, wishing to remain anonymous, confirmed the details in an email correspondence. The Ethiopian princess, and granddaughter of the King, is the niece of Ababiya Abajobir, another prominent man in the Oromo-Ethiopian community. He was one of the founding members of the OLF (Oromo Liberation Front), a guerrilla organization representing the majority Oromo ethnic group of Ethiopia, and served in various positions in the organization throughout its 35 year history. The source told EthioPlanet that it was the wish of both the Princess and Count Alexandre de Lesseps that she no longer be identified as “‘the Ethiopian woman’ but with her real identity.”

We here at Bossip heard about this a while ago, but now the Ethiopian papers as well as the estranged Ethiopian woman have put everything on front street. We know the old fart is paid, but, damn.

Wow, LuAnn was replaced by a real princess. . .

  • theinsider

    First!

Am I the only person that thinks the term “swirl” is a tad offensive?

  • Brownin

Guess that knocks the “Countess” down a peg or 2.

  • theinsider

Maybe not… Damn you SYDNEY! LOL

  • Sydney™

*hands the First crown to theinsider*

    It’s all yours! lol

OK, LuAnn must be really crushed. She carried that ‘Countess’ title like a badge of honor.

  • theinsider

OH! EEEWWWW!!! So I just read somehwere that when LuAnne found out and tried to confront him, this douche bag didn’t pick up her calls BUT he sent her an email telling him that was indeed seeing some one in Ethiopia…. WTF??

As for the Ethiopian Princess… it’s sad that even princesses these days are happy being the other woman. Child don’t you know that she will be his 4th EX-Wife… What makes you so sure that if he doesn’t die of old age, you’ll be number 5?

  • Mr. Kayro Syrup (Thick Dark and Sweet)

If he don’t want her, I’ll take her…

Get a swirl of my own

  • theinsider

that was cupposed to be someone in Geneva FROM Ethiopia… excuse the typo folks…

It’s more than a tad offensive. It never fails every generation fu^ks up the last generation’s usage of a slang word. This change is the pits.

  • bronzedasian

i guess “Countess” have her problems too…I knew something was wrong when dude didnt even show up at his own daughter’s event.

  • Lydia

Totally agree the insider… broke up a marriage in an email??? what a man, what a prize!! and the Ethiopian still wants this man? Gosh women…

  • Playlist

Rich men cheat. No surprise there.

  • shar

“Princesses” are ten-a-penny in Africa. It’s like the big man on your block saying he is King and making you bow to his daughters and “wife”.

  • http://www.extremesocial.net miamivision

Men with serious cash flow have the tendency to cheat and be cool about it.

  • money

Celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck just married an Ethiopian.

    @bronzeasian

I was thinking the same thing. In fact didn’t she say to Kelly after she hung up from her husband “the lucky b@tch!” It was clear was he engaged with someone else when Luanne finally caught up with him. I think a Princess trumps a Countness!

Shar is right… technically I’m a “princess” in Nigeria. In your respetive village it means more, like a hometown hero I guess. But if someone asks “are you a Princess?” after hearing something, and I answer “well, technically, yeah” they flip shit. NOT REALLY A BIG DEAL.

  • http://dicooper.spaces.live.com/ DICooper

The real funny part is that in Washington DC right now brothers are complaining that they can’t even get Ethiopian girls because they hate on ‘em tough. Chocolate City has the largest concentration of Ethiopians outside of Ethiopia. Brothers fare a little better in L.A. but peep how their lineage game is on lock.

Your Name tells me that you are IGBO.

There are only a FEW notable IGBO TOWNS that have a KING(about 3) most IGBO TOWNS have council heads.

IF your FATHER is A KING in one of these TOWNS then you are INDEED a PRINCESS.

  • bococalady

i guess the other housewife that luann was arguing with about her husband, gets the last laugh huh.

  • What the…

Ethiopians are some of the most attractive looking people to me and sorry but nearly every native African I know says they’re a Princess or Prince or royalty. i guess cause kings have hella wives that have hella kids?

  • What the…

@bb, Obama’s fam is Igbo so now they’re declaring themselves running Kenya.

  • TALLANSEXY UK

    @What the..
You sound very stupid right now..Igbos are from Nigeria. Obama is from Kenya so how can he be Igbo? Black Americans i tell ya. smh

  • http://bossip bb

    @What the…
Believe me NOT EVERY NATIVE AFRICAN is A PRINCESS or PRINCE .

Some AFRICANS say that TO DECEIVE FOREIGNERS simply because they KNOW that they will not be ABLE to tell that they are LYING.

There are KINGS with a number of wives and children
and their are some with just one wife but in a country like Nigeria not every region has multiple KINGS.

Those that are ACTUALLY TRUE PRINCES AND PRINCESSES KNOW THEMSELVES.

Obama’s Family is from KENYA.I am not aware of any IGBO people in KENYA

  • TJ

@ TheInsider. I agree that ‘the swirl’ is a tad bit offensive. But only our black sites feel the need to point it out.

  • Butterscotch

This is typically how they roll in Europe. Men stay married for a while until they run across another woman that strikes their fancy. Sometimes, they divorce the current wife and move on to the next one OR other times they keep their current marriage and just take on mistresses. When former French President Mitterand passed away, his mistress and out-of-wedlock- child sat at the front with his wife and other kids. It doesn’t make it right, but those folks over in Europe don’t even blink an eye about stuff like this. I’m sure LuAnn won’t have to worry about being comfortable due to the duration of their marriage and their two kids. Tough for her, but that’s life.

  • LOON

i have dated an ethopian girl before, they are so cute, even without make-up, but most of them tend to be very demanding.

  • tah

SORRY TO HEAR, BUT YES LUANNE THIS TOO CAN HAPPEN TO YOU!!!!!!!!

  • Big Wes

What yall know about Ethiopian honeys? Some of the finest women to grace this planet, don’t sleep on them.

Every one in Africa is a “son” or “daughter of a king or chief. When they say African Royalty that relates to LOT of people in any African country.

I was over visting a few African countries last June and it was ridiculous the “king/queen” issue.

As to this old fart, he got some taste of the black juice, “he aint neva going home”

  • Jocelyn

Tell us Countess what chapter in your book covers this type of betrayal!

  • M_Op

Wtf is up with all this ignorance??

Ethiopia has had REAL Kingdoms of REAL importance. Not those village pseudo-kingdoms Nigerians, Ghanians and other West Africans talk about. This nonsense about anyone being a Princess is akin to saying Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selasie is just an average nobody with a self assigned title of “King”.

I don’t care if all of you West Africans, South Africans, Central Africans, and Kenyans easily throw around these labels from village to village but don’t make the stupid mistake of attributing your culture to that of ours. Ethiopia has had a history of REAL Kingdoms and REAL royalties of historical importance, and the title, most certainly isn’t thrown around as casually as it is in the rest of Africa.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abba_Jifar_II

That’s her grandfather. Stop talking nonsense.

  • Necy

awwwwwwwwww, they can’t resist the sexual chocolate woman!!!

  • Keira J

This is the one who was so intrusive as well as rude. She is an obnoxious know it all. She behaves as if she was superior to everyone. While she is trying to teach etiquette and manners she should of been training her old man to keep it in his pants.

    @bb
Why is it that black folks can’t be ignorant about African History, without also being “BRAINWASHED by the WHITE FOLKS”? Clearly you know a little something about african history, and that’s great. Congrats to you, you chose to concentrate your obsessive compulsion on something that has little to no value in this country, and is probably NOT paying your pockets. But you also clearly need to knock that chip off your shoulder and move into this century, Bra. Some of us realize that learning to be a good person, gaining useful skills and knowledge, and getting over our past might be beneficial to our lives and our children. We don’t need to know every little idosyncratic thing about our lineage and a country/continent that we will never go to.

  • Manhattan

Sistas if you got a lil bit of sense and are attractive healthy well educated and want SOMETHING GOOD OUT OF LIFE take my advice & don’t stay single waiting for a good BLACK MAN cuz

  • M_Op

Y’all need to first realize that Ethiopian culture is VERY different from Nigerian or other West, Central and Southern African cultures.

Just because some of you have “princess” and “prince” labels based on being descended tribal/village heads, doesn’t mean thats how Ethiopians do it. There have only been a couple legitimate royal lines in the country. Since Ethiopia is an ancient empire with a long history, it’s really pretty stupid to dismiss this lady as having a title that comes a dime a dozen. It may be true in West Africa, but it sure as hell isn’t the case in Ethiopia. That’s the truth; if you don’t know, please educate yourself before you say anything as patently ignorant as what I’ve read from the comments thus far. This is what happens when people put blanket labels on the whole continent as if it’s a homogenous place.

  • always knew

    hahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • sasha

I am loving it. I knew something was wrong because her attitude this season was off the hook. I know Jill is laughing. Maybe instead of writing a book on etiquette maybe she needs to read a book on “How to keep your man”. LOL.

Why is everyone suprised that there are royals in Africa, Africa is an ancient land with great history and culture from the powerful Ancient Egyptians to the Nubian Kings and Queens to Ancient Ethiopia and Axum to Kush. These people built the pyramids and the great valley of the Kings. Those Ancient Egyptians are modern day Sudanese Ethiopians and Somalians they are resiliant beautiful people who have great pride and tradition

  • Carla

Lexibug, I hate to break the news to you but there aren’t too many so called “full blooded” left. I’m sorry but most of the full blooded ones run after the trailer park red necks, seriously.
