Michael Strahan and his wife divorced this year and he seems to have paid for the worse pre-nup in the history. He had a pre-nup and the ho still got half of his net worth. Let’s take you back:
A judge ordered New York Giants sack leader Michael Strahan to pay his ex-wife $15.3 Million, more than half his net worth while holding Strahan to his end of the pre-nup. Under the pre-nup, Jean Strahan was entitled to 50% of their joint marital assets and 20 percent of his yearly income from each year they were married.
She was probably with some blonde dude spending his money over Christmas. SMH.

You have to remember what marriage is legally. Unfortantely some ppl get married for reasons other than spirituality which to me is what it signifies. I piece of paper doesn’t dictate the love a man and woman has for each other. When you marry someone you marry all of them. Marriage is more of a legal thing now a days. It’s bonding. As you can see even with a prenup a wife in entitled to money that her husbands makes b/c marriage makes is community property. I know different states have different laws but the only way to get around that is to have a very detailed and precise prenup but I don’t know the limitations on that.

High net worth individuals must form a corporate trust and have their *****ests placed in the trust. This is what CEO’s and other high net worth individuals do to protect their *****ets.
In Strahan’s case, his NY Giants salary would have went to the trust and the trust would have then paid him a salary to cover his living and other expenses. Since the trust is a separate legal entity, its *****ets would not have come under marriage community property laws.
Also, some states have laws that allow you to exclude certain *****ests earned during the marriage from community property. Strahan should sue his lawyer for malpractice. On the other hand, maybe having some white trailer trash ***** was worth 15 mil to him.

The family structure is essential to the community. ESPECIALLY OUR COMMUNITY which is why it is attacked so hard. We do not need anymore baby mommas or wifeys or things such as that. We need people to man up, women to stop waiting for a man to “save” them and people need to stop using each other period.
A marriage should be a blessed event (no matter what your religion or beliefs are). It is a joining of not only two people, two souls, but 4 families (your mom’s side, your dad’s side and your partner’s parents sides). It is something that shouldn’t be taken lightly or rushed into. You can tell within 2 years if the person is really into you for who you are. And that gives you enough time to see if you are seeing them for who they are or just their good side. Even then, it might take longer to see all of this.
I have a solution. The girl will obviously know you have money. Don’t flaunt it to her. Don’t shower her with expensive gifts and etc. Treat her as if you were an average joe with average money. If she sticks around for 2 years of that. Give her 2 more years and then if everything is straight THEN you marry her and THEN you have kids.
Also, don’t be a cheat. learn to say no or don’t get into a committed relationship.

This doesn’t apply to me because i don’t believe in having children out of wedlock, so i practice safe sex, and until i reach 30, i’ll have a vasectomy, so i won’t have to worry about any lapses in judgement or condom breakage or leakage. And while they’ve lived amazing lives… They are now lonely and wish that they would’ve settled down and married and had children. But it’s weird because as recently as 2 years ago I remember hearing a few say…I’m soooo happy I didn’t have kids or a wife/husband etc. And now their tunes are changing.

For those who keep on insisting that a prenup is only for wealth gathered before marriage, this is not so. A prenup protects you from having to share your wealth earned during marriage. It states, incase of a divorce, how the wealth earned during marriage is going to be shared. A spouse is not entitled to money earned before marriage regardless of weather there is a prenup or not.

Principle IV. As a generative principle of racism, “ideological whiteness” refers to a dual behavioral process entailing enactments of identify formation and resource access legitimation, both of which were practices once overtly recognized as aspects of “white supremacy,” but which now may be more subtly and covertly reproduced as an observable and routine set of implicitly prescriptive, but explicitly disavowed white supremacist beliefs and practices to which all who identify as ‘white’ (or who behave as ‘whitened’) are expected to adhere–especially white males–if they wish to maintain their own racial standing as members of these two privileged ‘white’ groups and *****ert their negotiable right to privileged resource access.

I do not think that everyone should get married or have children. However I believe that 50% of marriages end in divorce because (both MEN and WOMEN) get married for the wrong reasons.
I don’t want to impose my beliefs on anyone, but at least for me. I feel that marriage is a spiritual, physical, mental, emotional and financial connection that should last til’ death do you part and should not be taken lightly. Many people just marry cuz he *****ed her down really good or because she’s pretty and can suck a mean one. This is why so many fail. That and because we live in a throwaway society that tells us if something doesn’t work it’s better to just throw it away and get a new one. Also people have lost their sense of family and traditional morals and values.
Women are trying to scheme and trick men into marrying them…Hello, if he’s not marrying you he obviously is not for a reason. Move on or deal with it. Some men marry just to have someone always there…even though they are doing their own thing. All of this is wrong and contributes to the divorce rate. It’s really sad. But if you are not ready nor want to be married, by all means don’t. and be honest with (if you have one) your partner and let them know, don’t string them along…It’s unfair to the both of you.
I am remaining civil and keeping patience. The best I can say is stop saying black community in every sentence. Many people in the black community do not want help (read some of the other posts above). If you have the knowledge to get out and live safely in the suburbs do it. I will be a sell-out and have the white-man sign my checks, but at this point they are looking nice and that is what appears to matter in our society. I am from VA and have visited VSU (where College Hill was filmed), VA Union in Richmond, Norfolk State, and I used Hampton because it was the best of the four I have visited. The bottom line is I was not impressed with any of them. I turned down a baseball scholarship from VSU to pay to attend a “white school.”

The term Latino is used to address people from a particular area (LATIN america) which is called so because of the shared Latin decent of their languages–not to identify with Spain. In Latin America which includes the Caribbean– French, Portugese, Spanish and dialects of English combined with all the aforementioned,are spoken. Thus making the easiest and most common thing to call people from that area LATINO…for the AREA, not the language… The area is named for the common language ancestor.

But like I said, I grew up in a majority hispanic or LATINO community and am very close with many different LATINO nationalities and they have identified themselves as such (after their countries of course) and have not expressed any displeasure at me or anyone else addressing them as such). So just because 1 or 2 people who I’ll never meet nor care to meet express objection over my usage of the term, they can kiss my ***** and try to “educate” someone else that needs it…like most white people who couldn’t give a ***** about you as well.

There are many Hispanic or Latino people that are bigots, but IN MY EXPERIENCE (i can’t speak for everyone everywhere) they have been the older people or the newer immigrants or 1st generation “americans.” Many Latino Americans have African ancestry, and they experience and have experienced the same discrimination in their countries as we have. I had an amazing experience growing up in such a diverse area where when I graduated (in LI, New York) my town was 55% Hispanic/LATINO, 11%black, 11%white and the rest was other (Asian, Polynesian, Indian, Arab etc…)
Most people dated and had friends of just about every culture you could imagine. That was an amazing learning experience and I’ve met great people and *****ty people with backgrounds from all over the world.
Some idiot mentioned they have INCA in them…I bet you there is probably more BLACK/AFRICAN in her blood than INCA but she will never admit it. Most LATINOS won’t. They have a problem in those countries that is just as bad if not worse than ours. actually darling I don’t think I’ll be a big WNBA star. I’m wisely saving and investing my money. No not in real estate. Only commercial real estate is really profitable and I am not rolling in dough like that yet. I was fortunate to receive academic money as well in college so I was able to start on some lazy portfolio’s and some bonds and other things. I’m hoping to become a hot shot with that in the next 3 or so years.
What exactly I aspire to do. Wow, there’s so many things as I am a very eclectic and well rounded woman. Ahhhh, the beauty of youth right? to dream unabashedly. Finishing my last M.S. cl***** this coming semester, but I don’t understand wanting three master’s. What is your purpose or goal? Get a Master’s in one and then pursue a PhD if possible. The PhD programs are becoming extremly competitive because everyone wants the title nowadays. The schools I have been researching for a doctorate degree typically have about 160-200 applicants per year and they select 5-8 candidates on an average year. Out of those two are usually “forced” out by administration during the process of working towards their dissertation. Keep your head up though because I am in the grind with you. If my previous post was sarcastic just ignore it. I was trying to keep you fired up b/c I read some of the other posts

and i want the multiple masters in case i don’t go for a phD (because I can pursue them concurrently—yea it’s hard but it can be done) and because I want to do everything and i’ve always been that way. I want to be a high powered lawyer/educator with my own school and vast corporate empire and politician…as well as a wealthy suburban/urban wife and mother with a great and equally successful husband and a truck load of well behaved and balanced children…
hahaha…i want it all, but i think by aiming high I’m bound to be successful at one of them.
