Although Jay-z has a interesting story, I cannot see how using his image on the cover would make this historical story be more relevant to the youth of today. I would love to ask the publisher -Where is the integrity in this choice? Why as a public should we allow 1/2 truths erode the rich heritage we share? Why should truth bow it’s knee to the popular culture standard? Why not try to lift the standard of public culture by highlighting truth instead? I know some would argue that it’s only a small white lie that would probably encourage children toward reading this book. But if they can meddle with the cover maybe we should wonder about the content too………………..just wondering???
