Why do people pay special attention to Iowa? Why do they matter more than any other state with this? I understand the process, but I don’t see why people were worked up over this. Don’t count your chickens…

Huckabee won too. And if the republicans have any sense (if nothing else, they know how to win elections which is more than I can say for the democrats), they’d pick someone else. Thanks to political ads, I now hate ALL the candidates and started watching movies exclusively.

I too am cautious of an Obama victory. If he would have won the primary with more points then I would be happy for him with no reservations, as of right now though I am very cautious. It is a very narrow lead. It is also the result of a surge in young voters who find it easy to go to a church or gym and stand in a corner on a Wednesday night but probably won’t go and vote. The little old ladies you speak of caucused for Hilary and will vote when it comes to it.

We should be damn proud of this man. But when it comes to voting season in November, middle of the road politikers are going to run to conservative sides rather than bet on a wild card. He can win a caucus, sure, but can he win over the majority of America? Iowa is no microcosm, it is not like most of the United States.

Can he win the rest?

I hope so. Damn, I hope so. We’ve heard all about change but we haven’t heard concrete ideas. I’m waiting. And damn excited for the prospect. But I’m not sure I’m voting on a man who can exact the change he speaks of. I’m not sure he has the power, clout, or know-how that is necessary to make this dream a reality. His policies are not that different from other candidates. His passion, however, is unmatched.

OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT!!!

I think one of Obama’s hardest challenges is going to be proving to his own people that he is good enough. We need an administration who cares about whats really happening in the world not about how to make the rich richer. I want to hear more about how the middle class is disappearing about how homes are foreclosing left and right, about how to get the troops home, about how to repair all the damage that the Bush administration has caused, and about how America is going to repair it’s image overseas amoungst other things!
