Didn’t Tommy Hilfiger make Grand Poohbah a spokesperson or something for his clothing line?

I used to rock the hell out of Hilfiger gear back in the day..and I don’t know about the rest of you but those rumors have been circulating since the early 90s. “If I knew black people would have been wearing my stuff, I would have never made it” ..said by [supposedly] Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, the list goes on.
