Police Arrest Tennessee Man After He Accidentally Phones Them About His Drug Use

Something tells us he is going to make SURE his phone is locked every time he puts it away for the rest of his life. Via WKRN:

Mt. Pleasant police say they arrested a man for drugs after he pocket-dialed 911 and dispatchers heard him talking about getting high and going to a drug dealer’s house.

The call came in to the Maury County 911 Center Friday evening.

Dispatchers were able to trace the location of the call to Don Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant on North Main Street in Mt. Pleasant.

Police say that’s where the caller, Grant O’Connor, 25, and a female friend were having dinner.

By the time officers arrived, O’Connor and the woman were pulling out of the restaurant parking lot. Police noticed her car had a tag light out and stopped the vehicle.

They found a small bag of marijuana and drug paraphernalia underneath the passenger seat where O’Connor was sitting.

The woman said she did not know the drugs were in the car. She was not arrested.

O’Connor was charged with simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was booked in the Maury County Jail and later released on bond.

Officers told News 2 the suspect had no idea he accidentally called 911 until they told him.

Ha! This just isn’t even fair.
