i have to cosign with you, especially in a celebrity’s case. birth control is affordable.

Wow some of you are some truly hateful people. Jennifer doesn’t owe it to anyone to say that she is or isn’t pregnant! That is her business! If she is that is a wonderful blessing but if she isn’t so what. Also, the average woman doesn’t tell anyone that she is pregnant until at least the 3rd month just in case something happens in the pregnancy.

Jenn & David are both grown, and they have been together for almost two years, and the engagement has been almost a year. So bottom line leave them alone.

IF, she is pregnant and this brings even an small amount of happiness and joy to her world then who are any of you to begrudge her that?

But I do believe this is a special case. On the metaphysical, sometimes a soul is recycled very soon after the death of a young child in the family. That 3 family members were taken out made her the vessel for one of those souls to be recycled (probably the nephew). That soul certainly wasn’t comin’ back through her skank ho of a sister (sorry, y’all, I think the sister was involved).

I try & instill in her the will to be independent (not that I don’t need a man shyte) but I can do anything I set my mind to type independence. If older women would stop teaching the younger women that bit of useless info we’d all be better off, but back to the subject at hand, teaching young women their worth is something sorely lacking in ALL races but seem to be especially prevelant in the African American communities. I wish I could see a culture that truly grasped & loved themselves/ LOVE being a Black Man or Woman!! At first I was somewhat skeptical about this relationship with David ‘Punk’ Otunga but after seeing these two stick it out for a couple of years and seeing how supportive he’s been for her I’m starting to think she may have lucked up on a good guy. When she was at the Grammy’s and started to choke up the camera showed him looking at her and his face seemed so sincere like he’s in it for the long haul. I’m sure they’ve gotten to know each other very deeply over the last few months or so and even if it doesn’t last forever, h3ll nothing does…at least he plans to marry her and I think this baby is her attempt to fill a void in her life. Although it’s unfortunate that another child is made out of wedlock, which to a person that isn’t even all that religious I know that isn’t ideal, no matter the situation, this is how it is for her.

I think the issue people have with this verses other celebrity women, like Halle, like Jill Scott, Angelina and so on, is that Punk was on a reality show. That is why we call him Punk – that was his nick name. Not only was he on a reality show, he was vying for a relationship with another reality person – New York. Now Jennifer Hudson is another reality person – from American Idol. So it’s suspicious that he would jump from one reality person to another. That’s what people see and think of.

But at the end of the day it’s her life, not mine. I’ve got too many things going on, like how I’m going to pay for tuition for my sophomore year, if I’m going to live on campus, and family drama to contend with that is more important to me then contemplating the ramifications of the superstars.

Babies are truly a blessing, but this news is disappointing because I thought Jennifer knew better than to get herself knocked up prior to marriage. There are young ladies out there who admire her and will see this pregnancy as something cool. After all if Jennifer can do it and everyone is happy for her, why can’t they? She and David should have at least pulled a Janet Jackson/Rene Elizondo move and had a secret wedding as soon as they found out about the child. No one would have been shocked because they’d announced their engagement anyway, but this… Disappointing.
