You are correct that my impressions of Russia and Russians are subjective, all personal impressions are. But Russians are the most racist people that I/I have ever encountered. I know the difference between propaganda and reality. I also know what it is like to walk down he street in that godforsaken country; people are openly hostile to you. I once purchased something in a store and the clerk kinda threw my change back at me, afraid to touch my hand like the Sade song “Immigrant”. Have had more crazy, racist incidents in that country than I care to remember. I have been all over the world, from Bogota to Ulan Bator (look it up) and know a little something about people… Russians are racist. Period.

Now that is, of course, a sweeping generalization. Generalization are never %100 percent accurate and you may be a decent person (I’m assurming that you’re Russian). But if you’re defending racial treatment in Russia, clearly you are not a person of color and if you are, clearly you have never been to Russia.

Also, the article was highly offensive and it made a disrespectful and demeaning racist comment about blacks. It suggested that a black woman was purchased and a white man OWNED her……the newspaper certainly crossed the line. I though Russia had moved forward but instead it still has a backward mentality – by the magazine making a racist comment like that and further allowing it to be published and thinking its a joke.

and people who keep on about her forehead, how many times u gonna mention it. geez it’s prominent so what? she is gorgeous, gosh!!

You may not appreciate the comments on her big forehead, but as long as she’s relevant, those comments will keep comming.

It doesn’t matter if she was paid in Pounds, US dollars, the Euro or the Russian Ruble or whether the amount was 500K or 1 mil. In fact none of us really know was was charged…all we know is what some newpaper quoted – and we don’t even know if its a credible newspaper at that. I am more offended about the headline of the article.

The thing is…she wasnt paid in pounds…she was paid in dollars…and at the current exchange rate thats less than £250k…so even if she was paid in £500K that wouldn’t be “over 1 million US dollars..the dollar isnt that strong.
