A stolen prosthetic leg, belonging to a well-known Philadelphia veteran, has been found by SEPTA police on a subway train.

The theft was reported around 8:30 Sunday night during the Eagles game against the New York Giants.

The victim Sonny Forriest Jr., who is known for singing outside the stadium during games, says he sometimes takes his prosthetic off when it hurts.

He told police that an intoxicated woman wearing Eagles clothing took his prosthetic leg and ran off.

“She said, ‘I will pay you for it.’ I said, ‘That’s alright baby go ahead and have a good time,’ and then she disappeared,” said Forriest.

Forriest says the woman appeared to be in her 20s.

Around midnight, SEPTA police found the prosthetic leg on a subway train.

Action News was at South Detectives in South Philadelphia when Forriest came to retrieve is prosthetic leg.

He says he doesn’t feel the suspect needs to be locked up, but someone should talk to her about her actions.

Glad he got his limb back, damn shame it was stolen in the first place.
