Hip-hop consists of NONE of these modern day artists. They happened to fall under that category by default because it was easier to do rather than decide what genre to label it as.

I think that we need to create new categories for this music today.

Hip-Hop- real music with lyrics that you could hear, recite, and made you want to go out and BUY the CD instead of downloading one song from an entire CD.

Club Music- any song that consists of telling you how to do a dance (i.e, stanky leg, etc). This is nothing but the modern day electric slide era.

Brain-washing Music- this is music that repeats the same word again and again (i.e that song STOOPID) and in-between has no real lyrics or substance.

*****ing Music- any song that tell a girl what to take off, what to put on, and what to do with her mouth, body, etc.

Rap Music- any music that consists of rapping about shooting, killing, drugs, money, hoes, poppin bottles, riding in whips with suicide doors, etc

Bored Music- songs that you listen to and say…”How did THIS happen”? Like Jim Jones’…na na na na (or whatever)….*****f_cka, I used to say that when I was little….so he must have been bored to put that on CD.

I mean….we need to break it down people.

What we are listening to when we tune in to our local radio stations IS NOT HIP-HOP.

See if they fit into any of these newly created categories!

Hip hop is not dead and most of don’t understand what hip hop is. Hip Hop is about making music that you feel like making. It has nothing to do with content or record sales. Hip hop is street music. Gucci is just as much hip hop as Common. Dead Prez is not “better” that Soulja Boy. They both sit down to create the same kind music. This debate happens with every form of artistic expression. Hip hop is evolving with the times. Your opinions are not the definition.
As far as bow wow is concerned… He’s a ***** ***** dude. His style are boring and dated. He is not fly or smooth or hard. He has no swagger. These are all essential elements to being successful in hip hop. Artist and fans that believe hip hop is dead are just dyeing themselves. Getting old and forgetting what its like to have a new idea.
