Nas is giving back to his people, the right way, by signing on to help out American homeless:

Nas, who is well known for tackling social issues in his songs, is taking steps toward dipping his toes in social problems that exist in the real world. According to recent reports by the Associated Press, Nas says he’s ready to do his part to curb homelessness in America….… “We have it good here in America. We’re spoiled,” Nas said. “We don’t realize that people are poor, don’t have food, no water in this same world we live in. Those are the things I’m concerned with and need to talk about,” he added. It’s great to see an established artist like Nas stepping up with a renewed sense of purpose. Here’s hoping that more rappers will follow suit.

Nice, Nas. This is how you become a legendary MC, Bow Wow.

I love when Rappers turn it positive. Like my Mom said – if you don’t have anything nice to say – don’t say it at all. So in other words, it’s time to leave the negative BS behind and start focusing on a new and positive day. Being Homeless is negative (I admit) but bringing awareness to the homeless problem is positive, especially for a young black man. I’m Proud of him and I continue to hope – these rappers use their talents toward uplifting instead of criticizing and gangster violent BS. I like what I’m hearing out here lately.

He is so positive. I hope is buddy, the one working REAL hard trying to become that billionaire, gives back too. That’s what I’m talking about. Come from the hood and make it, then try to make a difference.

    @ Dizzy
No, Nas has always been a community activist…long before Barack ever dreamed of running for President.

  • WHY?!!!!

Nas is all that and then some!

  • GGooDie

    Thank you Nas.

He has been doing things like this for years. Along with him and Ludacris…they are making rappers look great.

    Thanks again!

This is one of the reason I love and respect Nas. He’s a realist and a progressive. Much love to the brotha for being a positive inspiration. He truly is God’s son.

    @ speak it –

this has nothing to do with albums.

i would credit a shitty rapper if one did something worth mentioning, but nas is a TITAN.
