Just reported from Livesteez, the O.G. “Freeway” Rick Ross is getting out soon people:

Notorious Los Angeles drug kingpin Rick Ross is scheduled to be released from prison on Monday. His May 4 release comes after he was served with a life sentence resulting from a C.I.A. cocaine smuggling scandal. Ross was nicknamed “Freeway” because he owned several properties along Los Angeles’ Harbor Freeway, where he ran a crack-cocaine distribution ring that was said to have earned $2.3 million a day. In an interview with PBS, Ross claimed he had thousands of employees and an operation that stretched across the U.S. He said he ran cocaine sales in St. Louis, New Orleans, Cincinnati, Baltimore and Seattle.

In 1996 Ross was “set-up” by his long time dealer, Oscar Danilo Blandon, who orchestrated a sting with the C.I.A in an undercover operation. The set-up led to the kingpin’s apprehension and life sentence after his attempt to purchase 1000 kilos of cocaine.

In recent years a Florida rapper, who is rumored to be a former jail guard, has made a significant contribution to Billboard’s Top 200 via his rap alias “Freeway Rick Ross.” The rapper insists he did not base his music career and persona off the true Rick Ross.

Ross, however, feels differently, “After seeing all the stuff that has been going on with the Correctional Officer (William Roberts) that stole my name, [it] makes me think back to a year and a half ago when we spoke,” Freeway Ricky Ross explained to AllHipHop.com in a previous interview. “I tried to talk to him like a big brother and let him know to be you, and that he couldn’t be me.”

The man told him, “don’t use my name, you can’t be me”, and the Boss still wouldn’t listen. What ever happen to having someone’s blessing? We are praying that Freeway Rick gets out and influences the kids the right way this time, especially since he had such a negative impact on our community.

Let’s be real about Rick Ross the rapper: His stuff is the sh*t and whoever says otherwise is truly hating!!! All I hear people bumping in the cars in my hood is RICK ROSS! The critics have given his album 4 stars and said his album is the best of ‘09 so far.

Now back to the real Rick Ross, I’m glad he tried to tell the fake Rick Ross to BE HIMSELF. It makes me look at teh fake Rick Ross a little differently because he created his image and success as a wannabe. He is a very talented rapper/lyracist, but BE YOU and DO YOU!! There is only 1 Freeway Ricky Ross.

If y’all want to diss Officer Ricky fine, I could give 2 sh*ts about his untalented azz. But this little CIA operative spook, Freeway needs to get struck by lightning, an 18 wheeler and an SUV on a freeway somewhere.
He is right up there with Idi Amin and Mobutu as far as I am concerned. This piece of sh*t that brought death to our community is talkin’ ’bout someone usin’ his name? As if his name is somethin’ good? He should rot in jail. He is still cooperating with CIA which is why he is getting out in 13 instead of rotting in there for life.

Everything people are saying against the fake Ricky Ross is very, very TRUE. When I spoke earlier it was purely on talent level and the Fake Rick Ross has it and he has put out some bangers.

As far as what the real Rick Ross stood for, the destruction he cause by his dope dealing and other horrible things, I agree that they are all horrible, horrible deeds. Fake Rick Ross SHOULD NOT want to imitate that life style or behavior.

IF Freeway Ricky Ross has truly repented for ALL of his sins then that is between him and GOD. God is a God of love, mercy and forgiveness so how can we NOT forgive this man, if he has repented, when God forgives us every day and every second of our lives for sinning against Him?
