why should it matter what “color” you are in order to get a couch? that shouldn’t even be the focus. race is a touchy subject to everyone, it gets people’s blood flowing. i think if they’re intentions was to spark a conversation, it should have been done another way, thats all im saying. It was an insensitive approach to a very sensitive subject. i don’t think issues dealing with race should be swept under the rug at all, but this was just a tasteless effort.

I’m from NC also and I’ve never seen this commercial. Call it backwoods if you may, but High Point is deemed “The Furniture Capital of the World”. Several First Ladies have bought furniture there and they gross millions when they hold their bi-annual Furniture Market. The commercial may have been a little ignorant , but in no way does it represent us.
