Damn, it’s hard to keep up with all the baby arrivals these days. Comedian David Alan Grier and wife Christine Y. Kim welcomed a baby girl, Luisa Danbi Grier-Kim, on Friday. Congrats to them.

Why the baby got her last name?
Congrats to them and I wish them well.
Congratulations to the family. David Alan Grier is an underappreciated comic artist. I really like his stuff even his non Wayans bros. affiliated *****. I was listening to the radio here in the D.(his hometown) and this *****got ***** newscaster who does the news sometimes was like he’s gay…… but obviously not.
because every kid should have her mother’s last name.

It’s 2007, not 1957. Why shouldn’t the baby have both their last names? I know plenty of black people who have both and their parents were married at some point. Most of their mothers come from somewhat prominent families. Their child is biracial and her last name reflects her African-American and Asian ancestry.
Asian women marry out of their race at the highest rate. As a result, Asian men are the least likely group to be married. I wonder if Asian women are concerned about how they are affecting their men. I doubt most of them even care. She is the sellout, not him.
