Little Miss Myspace Blogger Solange believes that she’s in the position to give advice to teen mom Jamie Lynn:
“I have been so blessed that my son is the coolest kid ever. Of course, that first year of not sleeping and just being dedicated to him had tough parts but that’s fine. It’s been a blast for me. A lot of people have doubts, but when you have a child I think it takes a really non-emotional person not to have a blast, no matter what age. I’ve heard stories of people who were 14 that had kids and basically snapped into it and got into the groove of motherhood. I think that emotional attachment, there’s nothing out of it that you could regret.
When will she acknowledge the importance of education or a stable family for the child? These chicks see babies as fashion accessories. If your baby is the coolest kid on the block, motherhood will be a piece of cake.

I don’t condone kids having kids in anyway. I think it’s better to wait until you’re in your middle to late 20’s, graduated from college, financially stable and in a stable relationship. Unfortunately that’s not reality. Their are kids that have had babies, and you would think they would be the most irresponsible parents, but they’ve managed to make the most of it and end up being very good parent’s considering.
It’s cool and easy when you have tons of money, but when you’re and everyday average person, it’s not a piece of cake the way she makes it sound. Raising a child is tough even for adults. I do wish the best for these young adults and their kids.

There are plenty of women who had children at age 14, or under age 18, who went on to college. I know of some who went to college, made high GPAs, pledge sorority, and got their professional degrees and careers. If you have the right support, mindset, passion and determination, teenage mother or not, anything is possible.

Besides, people go to college so they can have the can of lifestyle and wealth Jamie Lynn and Solange Knowles already had at a very young age. They had high net work and profits before the age of 18, by themselves. So, it’s no one’s business when they have their kids because society is not caring for them. The parents and their family are able to do it. It’s no worry of ours.
Be a strong influence in your own child’s life and quite expecting other strangers, other strangers children, to be role models. Role models should be people you know on a personal level. There are judges, lawyers, doctors and many other successful people who have been teenage mothers, so it’s important know something other about a person than their professional title. If you don’t agree with the path in life they took, obviously that’s not the role model for you or your child – it doesn’t matter how much money they have.

as far as the babies complexion, the father is Daniel Smith and he looks black (but he may be biracial or a black latino)–also since Tina Knowles isn’t full black herself (she claims she is French and Cherokee per an article in Parade magazine) which if true would greatly up the odds of having a white looking baby especially if the dad is half white, too…

She is a beautiful girl and I think her son is cute. However, I don’t like encouraging younger girls in the real world that getting knocked up is so wonderful. Yes, children are life’s biggest blessings, but in today’s society when a teenager gets pregnant, in most cases, they aren’t ready for it on many levels. …and if they can handle it emotionally they usually end up going on government aid to have their rent, food, and tuition paid for and aren’t self-sufficient strong women. Kids need role models that are strong and self-sufficient or we will have more generations of dependents.

Anywho, while I personally feel a child is a blessing from the Creator, God, Allah, whatever name you use or choose, being a single mother is not a “blast”. She is very fortunate to have had Daniel under her current circumstances. If she had to worry about how she was going to feed him, how to pay her rent, who would watch him while she worked, etc… trust that ish would not be a “blast”. I think her comments were well intentioned and I have to say that most single moms I know did their thing and raised their children, I never knew anyone who was pregnant at 14 or anyone who didn’t struggle. She should be stressing the value of education and perseverance. She may also have wanted to point out how fortunate she is to have the support system she has and how that has made it easier for her.

You are invincible (stay up till 3 wrapping presents, wake up at 7 to drink milk and cookies)!
You make sacrifices! You fill your saturdays with zoo visits, park outings, and cherish naps! You are in love! Suprised everyday, always amazed and never bored.
I know because I am a mom!
Every once in a while people will foward me post on gossip sites about the latest me and my family are involved in, and 99 percent of the time i shrug it off with laughter or dont pay attention at all. But recently someone emailed me something that disturbed me quite a bit. It was a post with a picture attached saying ” A rare occasion, Solange spotted with her child”. Now by any means, you can question my career, my music, my choice in films, friendships ect. But to question my motherhood is another story, lol. Fortunately, I live in Houston, Tx….where there are no photo ops of me dropping my son off and picking him up everyday from preschool..or me taking him every saturday to the movies, or the childrens museum, or me cooking dinner and baking cupcakes for his class. And unfortunately people are more interested in taking pictures of me going out every once and a while with friends. This post is not to defend how dedicated I am to Julez…. because he knows and I know and thats all that matters…but to commend all of my mothers out there who work their behinds off and do all they can in their powers to be the best mothers they can be and not be uplifted for it! God Bless you….and keep up the great work!

Man the dayum RN who helped to get me off the gurney out of the ambulance later told me (before I passed BACK out from demerol lol) that she had had FOUR kids & then had kidney stones after the last baby AND that all her births were natural & the pain of giving birth is NOTHING compared to tbe pain of having Kidney Stones. TRUE STORY. I literally was at home off from work (had not been feeling too well wonder why) & started to feel the WORSE f-ing pain of my short life lol. Passed out, woke up, dialed 911 & that is pretty much all I remember because I kept passing out from the pain. TRUST luv, I FEEL YOU ON THAT ONE!!!

My niece who turns 21 this month, gave birth to a beautiful baby gyrl early last spring & when she told me she was preggers I told her after she had the baby I was going to give her the a$$ whopping she should have had BEFORE she ever thought about having sex w/o a condom or other BC!!! Being pregnant & being a teen is NOT a good thing! I personally don’t think anyone should have a child until AFTER they finish college & are established & financially stable. I agree with everyone. There is nothing fun about being a single parent. I mean you have your good and bad days but for the most part it is a struggle. Solange can’t really relate to what it is like to be a real single mom because she has money.

I hate when people trivialize the work involved in parenting. Most 14 year old mothers don’t “snap to it.” Most 28 year old mothers don’t even do that and only figure things out with a second child because they know what doesn’t work from experience. If more people said “these kids are driving me crazy but I love them,” fewer completely unprepared people would be having kids. I see all these moms on the trains yelling at and hitting their young kids. Unlike Solange, many girls and women don’t have the money and strong family to support them.
The father’s black. He is actually a shade darker than the mom. If you watch the Destiny Child “Soldier” video he is on there with Solange. Good looking guy.
I also like how people are blasting Solange about not providing a stable life and thinking having kids are a blast while giving Halle a free pass. Lets face it, when you have money raising babies isn’t hard. But kids seeing the examples of these will not think that because the media only shows the highly polished, make up fixed pics demostrating how easy it is.

It’s not that people are giving Halle a free pass, but that she’s a grown ass woman. I personally think she’s a bit delusional, but maybe not too much where she cannot raise a child. Also, Halle has made a career for herself (and her money) all on her own, as opposed to Solange who is getting “family” support…..so it’s not the same thing. Besides, Halle hasn’t even had he baby yet, so of course she’s still in the stage where it’s cute, cause people thing pregnant women are. All in all, this isn’t just about being a single parent, this is about the age different. Halle is in her 40’s and Solange got pregnant at 16 or 17….big difference. I personally don’t agree with being a single parent, but Halle is in better condition to be, than Solange. Solange has barely even lived her own life to find out who she is as a person….Halle has.
