Prosecutors Face Setback in R. Kelly Trial

R. Kelly gained a victory in his trial Monday as the judge denied testimony from a child therapist. Her goal was to show that the girl’s denial of being on tape was classic behavior of a child-abuse victim. A setback like this proves the theory that the trial will go in favor of Kelly.

Reality: Crimes against black women happen more often by black men. This is not propogation, but fact. If other black people would step up and fight against this man, be it with our dollars or by boycott, watch how QUICK he will meet his untime fate in prison.
But we would rather see him sing a damn song instead of put him behind bars. Then, have the audacity to get *****ed when the national media and FBI don’t try to help find justice for our abused children.
Black women have always put their daughters in harm’s way by dealing with trifling black men. Why don’t you just exile these fools out of our commnities instead of preaching on their behalf.

This case concerns you because in every black man stepped up and said, “enough is enough! You will not make us all look like cold-hearted savages,” then you will see how quickly the community will change. How quickly the child abusers and molesters will be begging to return to prison so they can find anyone to prey upon.

Give me some news about that.
1. Legally speaking, there is no excuse/defense for statutory rape. Even if the girl jumped on him with a Driver’s License showing she was 18 and her mother co-signing in the closet that her baby was legal, ARRUH would still be guilty of statutory rape (it’s called strict liability).
2. That the evidence was found inadmissible probably means that her theory had not been accepted in the scientific community. The judge can’t decide the facts of a case.
But it’s crazy how people are praising him like he was a lyrical genius when he’s been recycling the same d*mn three songs for the last 10 years.
I never said it was just black men. But, R. Kelly is a black man. What kind of message does that send? Then, to make matters worse, you have statistics saying that black girls are at the top of the list when it comes to rape (of any kind) and sexual abuse and these crimes usually happen by men in our homes, neighborhood and families. Not very encouraging. But, if you put one away for doing something like this, you put ALL preditors away for good and stop this crime.
It speak volumes when child molestation and misuse becomes a mainstay in our literature and media. Obviously, its a problem and it needs to be dealt with.
Of course this girl would behave in such a manner as she did on this tape. The reason why statutory rape or child molestation is a problem is because adults take calculating steps to encode in little children’s minds that this is how a real woman behaves. This is what people really do and this is how a woman should be treated in the bedroom.
They shower girls with compliments and praise for acting wonton, and the girls don’t know any better.
These men also know who to choose as victims. It would make sense if this girl was some female in the ghetto who grew up poor or without a father-figure. Perfect opportunity for him to take advantage of her. A lot of those girls in those situations have no self-respect because they were taught to not have any. Especially black women in those situations. Often, they’ve been verbally destroyed by the men in their lives and condemed by their mothers or other women for speaking up. So, they continue on… thinking that being *****ed on is normal and sexy.
By putting him behind bars, you’re taking back these children and saying “you won’t ever do this again to another person.”
Understand that sex offenders don’t see a difference in women. They only see conquest. So, while you all may think that a man would know better than to ***** on you and do the things he did in that video to this girl, he does see it that way. You’re just another victim and someone for him to attack. And yes, this was an attack. Maybe not in the traditional sense, but a sexual attack nonetheless.

When was the last time we saw R. Kelly with a woman his age, a few years younger, or older? Yes, this child was clearly a “firecracker” which I myself have been back in the days (well, not that young). But anyway, when he looked at her, the only thing he should’ve seen was 15! I have no interest in seeing the flick or starring in one… My Reply *to no one in particular* is simply that consent (“she wanted it” or “she looked like a pro”) even fraudulent (“she said she was 30″) isn’t a defense to statutory rape. It doesn’t matter how people justify it (and why are we trying?), if the female in the tape was under the statutory age limit – it’s a crime.

Now let me put this out there: he definitely should have not touched her but she wanted him to. Obviously yall’ either forgot about your hood/highschool days or haven’t been back to visit. But, those young girls go chasing older dudes, point blank. They act and want to be grown. I’m a dude and I went chasing/slept with girls that were 21 and up myself. And believe me I haven’t been innocent since I was 14. That’s the truth in the matter. These kid’s are growing up way faster. I remember being young and how my conversations with girls and dudes my age centered around popping bottles in the club, making money, wearing nice clothes, looking for our own apartment, and driving nice cars by the time we were 15/16 years old. And some of us figured out how to do it by becoming strippers and hustler’s. And that is the way it is spoken to you by someone who grew up in the in the inner city. But, ofcourse they are “victims” and “innocent” until they got a gun pointed at ya’ head while they going through your pockets. The problem is a way more complex than what you all try to perpectuate.

I completely agree, everyone is all like she was young and innocent but if the story that she had murdered her neighbor or something then 15 would become grown as hell wouldn’t it?

I’m a realist. I grew up in it and witnessed it first hand. In my eyes I haven’t been a child since I was 13. And like some of my peers we proved it. One thing that I can tell you about a teenager is when they start thinking for themselves and mouth the words “I’m grown”; their mind is made up there is nothing you can do about it.

it is rape, no he did not beat her over the head with a brick, but statutory rape IS rape. that she was ‘experienced’, or because ‘all the girls in high school act grown’ or that she is ‘no victim’ is no defense for this behaviour. R Kelly commited a crime. furthermore as the ADULT in the matter he had the responsiblity of acting in an acceptable manner, not having sex with her just because she ‘wanted him to do it.’
