If in the least if it’s not to get pregnant, please do so – so that you won’t catch a STD or HIV/AIDS… Especially in this day and age where ya’ll make up the largest percentage of new cases with respects to HIV/AIDS infection rates across the country…

I’m really disgusted, it’s not just her but others like her like Luda for example. He is a skilled entertainer but has lyrics talking about taking E and other drugs. That was not good advice. To tell that girl forget him and just take care of your child. No find him and take him to child support court so that he can financially support this child and her children. She needs someone too show her what a condem looks like. To tell her abstinence is foolish.

Where is her famil what role do they play in this. He could not have helped her take care of the first one. I think we need to get it together in our community. She should have told this girl to finish her education so she and her family can have a chance.

Young ladies listening to this, I know you think it is cute when a grown man is interested in you but you have to ask yourself why is this grown man here with me a young girl. You have to learn to listen to that little voice in your head when you get that feeling that something is not right here.

As women and men age most of us become better judges of character from going through experiences in life so we can detect things quicker, but, you were a child and could not see that there was something wrong with that young man.

The problem is obvious, a lack of values due to a lack of interest on her parents side. We are our children teachers, they look to us for ALL reinforcements and when we as parent don’t provide them, they seek them in other places such as the arms of some perv. This girl should have been focused on education in school not in the bed or on the floor or in dude’s car wherever. 17 with two kids is disgusting. I am not surprised. This is going on a lot. People think that all these teenage girls are getting knocked up by other teenager boys but that is not the case. Church ain’t the cure….it helps. God didn’t give you a mind, christian or not, to do dumb ***** (forgive me for cursing Jesus)….You gotta have a strong mind to begin with, there’s gotta be something in you that says, this is wrong and this is right, now if you add GOD (not the church) into that mix then you will be on a right path…the purpose of the church is so you can share your love of God with your brothers and sisters in christ who then are supposed to help you spread the word of God…just going to church ain’t gonna git you into heaven…Just taking your kids ain’t enough you gotta study with them and tell them that this is WHY we go to church…if you don’t stay on their ***** and answer their questions then they’ll will be left to the street teaching them..just my thoughts.

The sad reality is that when these men either disappear, get them hooked on drugs, constantly beat them up, or all of the above, that’s when they barely start to realize that they were acting stupid as hell. But usually it’s too late.

I agree with you but you also have to have a strong family structure and parents need to instill fear in their children. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean beat the crap out of them for every little thing, but these kids aren’t scared of thier parents or the consequennces of thier actions any more, thats whay they ar the way they are. I was terrified to tell my mother when I lost my virginity, not becasue I was afraid she would kill me but becasue I dind’t want her to be dissapointed in me. These young parents are trying so hard to be that cool friend/parent, that they are forgetting to instill certain morals and values in thier children.

These little girls now days are little w*****s. yes i said it. i talk to my little sister all the time about things that go on with her and her little friends. some of the things that she tells me that her little friends are doing is just unbelievable. I’m 28 and some of the things that they are doing in highschool I didn’t do until I was in my mid twenties. These little girls need to take some of the responsibility for their actions. I know that some of them don’t know better and that some of them are actually raped. I aint talking about them. however, there are some little girls that ***** like grown ***** 30yr old women. Some of these girls know better. just because they are under 18 don’t mean that they are just helpless. they are just hot in the *****. why are they so hot in the *****? that’s the question. where are their mothers? why aren’t more mothers talking to their daughters about these things? Being over 21 does not make you grown…u aren’t grown until you are mentally,physically and monetarily ready to take care of yourself. I have been on my own since 16….not because my parents didn’t take care of me, but because i chose to be. I dated older dudes all my life and i never had a baby by any of them. I went to school got a very good education and at 28 have a very lucrative career, not just a job. I am in a position where i could retire at 20 if i wanted too. Its all about maturity. Yes its true some men look to exploit younger girls, because they don’t know any better, but not all of them are like that i dated a dude that was 21 when i was 16 all the way up until i was 20 and he helped put me through school and financed me. We had a lot of things in common. See every relationship is not about sex, unless you make it that way. Its just so many different sides to the story, and ignorant black folks always tend to look at the negative…..focus on the positive. You only learn a lesson if you can take something out of an experience and use it for future use or reference. And to everyone talking bad about her, 9 out 10 of you have done the same damn thing, may be you didn;t end up with babies, maybe you were just an undercover and no one knows about it but you and the guy. But i bet most of you are hoes or U.H (undercover hoes) and talking about your little sister and cousins and daughters talk to you about everything, believe me my mom is my best friend and i am grown and there are things she will never know about me. I have secrets that are just that secrets that belong to me and no one else. No matter how much you trust a person, you never tell anyone everything. Unless you are dumb. Paigey, if the baby is healthy, there are people to adopt them. The Simmons had to wait a long while before getting their new daughter. Obviously, supply is less than demand for healthy black infants. It’s unhealthy kids (kids with genetic diseases, developmentally disabled, fetal alcohol syndrome, crack babies, etc), abused kids and non-infants that are more difficult to place in good homes. And no, I don’t think everyone should open their homes and hearts to kids because there are many people out there who don’t have the resources to care for the kid and can end up harming them.

wow.

in high school i knew this puerto rican chick named Luz… They used to say Luz is Loose as a joke, but it was the truth. When we were 17 and 18 years old getting ready to graduate (which she should’ve been doing also) her oldest (of 4) was graduating from kindergarten. And this is in the suburbs of NY (my area was of very mixed demographics. Unfortunately stuff like this is all too common. I think the youngest of her babies daddies was 20, but I don’t know if that was when she was 11 or 12 or her last baby (that I knew she had) at 17.

I remember telling my mom when I was in the 7th grade that a girl in my grade was pregnant by a 19 year old who we would all see cuz he picked her up from school in his car. My mom let me know that was not cute and any boy interested in a girl with an age difference like that more than likely was no good. I kept that advice and I’ve never had any problems.

Whew, I actually started to tear up a little when I read this letter. WTF are we teaching our sons when it comes to how they are treating & respecting women? What city do you work in? I had an internship with an OBGYN clinic about 2 years ago in my city and got the chance to work in another clinic in a VERY poor area.

First off, it takes more than just making a guy wear a condom or hoping he brought one with him. Women need to respect themselves and get their own personal birth control – Da Pill!! Condoms break, as we all know, so you can’t rely 100% on them, you should always have a back up! I also keep my own stash of condoms, different sizes, that I get from the local health dept. for FREE!!! Please people, take advantage of FREE CONDOMS from the health dept. It only takes 5 minutes to pull up in front the door, run in and come out with the lil brown bag full of condoms. This is so sad! Many girls don’t have a daddy to let them know that they are alright and loved so they give it to the first man who shows them any signs of “affection”. Even if it’s to use them and throw them away like a disposable cup. On the other hand, many boys don’t have a clue about what a real man is. Many have never seen a grown man in the context of a committed marriage. Many have an absent father, a drug addict dad or a dad in jail. The only men they see are rappers on song videos, self-absorbed sport’s stars or weird celebrities on magazines. These “father figures” send the wrong message to a growing boy about what a man is and the important role he plays in a healthy family.

Let me tell you a story. A couple of month ago I saw a black boy playing the piano at a supermarket. He was really good at it too! Beside him there was an adult black man sitting on the piano bench. When I came over to congratulate the boy, I talked to the man. He was the boy’s father and music teacher. This boy looked so happy playing the piano. His face showed no anger, confussion or anxiety. He was happy playing the piano close to his dad. He felt secure and protected. I went away to my car having seen the difference a caring, involved father makes. I had to cry for joy. This is something that you don’t see every day. A lot of dads nowadays don’t know what responsibility, sacrifice and legacy means.
