I can only speak for myself, but I wouldn’t find it the least bit “entertaining” for her to come out. It’s more about getting to the point where people realize that this is normal. Homosexuality extends even to the animal kingdom. There is too much ignorance in the black community, in particular, when it comes to people who are gay.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, being gay isn’t what causes problems… It’s peoples REACTION to gay people that causes problem. People should be able to go out as couples, regardless of if it is same sex or not, regardless of if it is interracial or not, and be free to enjoy themselves without being discriminated against. I understand what you are saying. I look at the Britney situation, for instance, and say all the time that it would suck if a camera was around every time I flubbed up. It can’t be easy being a public figure. My best friend is gay, so I guess when I see a topic regarding homosexuality, it’s hard for me NOT to get on my soapbox. I just want us all to love one another! Is that so wrong? :p
On another note, if I was related to a celebrity, I would avoid the tabloids and gossip sites like the plague. It’s hard to avoid everything when even CNN covers the super popwrecks, but in general, you don’t hear about black gossip unless you are looking for it.

The difference is, in her early career and when Living Single was on, there were no gossip blogs, and not many people have internet in their homes. Yep, I agree with some parts, like celebrities get the benefits of money along with tons of other lavish perks, so you have to take the good with the bad. If you don’t want to be a celebrity, then more away, don’t make any more movies/music, and get a regular job. I think she’s being a spoiled baby. They feel entitled to have everything their way and life just isn’t like that. Well, REAL life isn’t like that.

The comment that I posted earlier (7:17 PM) basically stating, a celebrity must take the good with the bad, so Queen should quit whining, may have been a bit harsh.
After further thought and reading of some of the other posts after mine (such as lalalatina) I think maybe a lot of us are not taking in consideration that “coming out of the closet” could very well make her image unsuitable for some of the roles that she may want. The examples that “lalalatina” gave of Degenerous and ODonnell are quite relative to this subject. I cannot remember ANY movies that either did where they were the romantic interest, AFTER they came out of the closet. Apparently, they were no longer able to be cast in that type of role. Well, if it negatively impacted these white women, film makers would probably put Queen’s film career in a very very very small box; she definitely would not be casted in any romantic role. I guess she has made the decision to continue the charade for the sake of her career.

Jeanette used to be a spin instructor at Crunch in LA in Sunset Blvd. She was one of those Black people who came from Canada. Now, while she was losing her weight training others at Crunch, she had a man. She was in a relationship with her man. But like most Canadians I’ve experienced, they don’t know what they are, Black, white etc. She was no exception, she was very “sometime-ish” with the Blacks that took her cl***** and always socialized with the Whites. I decided not to take her cl***** any more and join another instructor “Bob” whose now on “The Biggest Loser”. Years later, she was also a member of the Agape church really trying to search for something. But I heard that she was very judgemental and had a chip on her shoulders. At that time she had already met King and I almost bet she was confused – should I or shouldn’t I. But Jeannette is an opportunist and saw how she could advance being King’s woman. She won Fear Factor on TV and was driving around in a Hummer. Her game has definitely stepped up being King’s woman.
