In any event during the 40s 50s 60s most black people even with a college degree were blue collar. Remember how strong the black community was then? Black females put way too much emphasis on how much many a black man should be making as opposed to how much a black man can be a good husband and a good father.

Black people cant move into the middle class based solely on the backs of black females and their “record” number of college degrees in the soft sciences.

…the reality is that the divorce rate in the US alone is now at about 60%, meaning that whereas marriage and two-parent families may have worked before, clearly that doesn’t seem to be the reality today…

…I think that one of the biggest problems that this society (US) has is in its SLOWLNESS with revising/updating socio-economic policies to suit the CURRENT times people are living in…

…for that 40% of people who are still married and bring in 2 incomes to the home thereby improving the quality and standards of living for their children..kudos…

…so what happens to the 60% divorced families?…

…dead beat dads are running AMOK especially in the African American community (FACT) and single women (who were once married, not even talking about single, unwed mothers) are struggling, as you well know, with the near insurmountable tasks of being heads of households…with very little support from:

1. their exes
2. the system

My recommendations:

1. Dead beat parents should be pursued much more aggressively.

2. Since the institution of marriage is so broken down, obtaining a marriage certificate should be subject to a number of stringent requirements, all TBD by your elected officials with your input.

3. Newer/updated definitions of a “family unit” should be legislated by the House and Senate to offer legal protections to families, be they families in a traditional marriages or not?

4. Replicate best practices, the divorce rate in Europe is significantly low, also on Europe marriage is not as “stressed” as it is in the US, however those untraditional families have full protections of the law and it seems to be working.

Though I understand you’re trying to enlighten sistas on what is sometimes a misguided rage against something that can be so simple as a mutual attraction I personally find your post despite its intentions offensive. What you’re doing in essence is reinforcing that tired old bullshyt that (some) brothas use as to why they don’t date sistas, its a an attempt to cloak the fact that they aren’t strong enough to handle a strong woman…and trust me they only seek out submissive white women, and all submissive white women aren’t broke, ugly or fat. He sets the bar for those that would approach her as she matures and it helps her to weed out those that don’t bare his traits. I will agree with you that most interracial relationship evolve from ones environment, school, career and neighborhood you’ve grown up in, mutual interest and friend hook-ups also play into it as well. The celebrity and sports interracial couples that are plastered all over the magzines, tv’s and internet don’t make up even 2% of interracial couples as a whole and yet interracial couples are a vast minority when compared to black men and women who date excusively within their race. In my inner circle of friends there are along with the brothas some asians, latinos and whites….and there is the same element in each, just like with the minority of brothas that date outside their race and use those weak excuses each of those other races have theirs too and the kicker is that they use the same excuses and generalizations about their women that the weak brothas do. I personally feel that God hasn’t created a woman as beautiful as the black woman and though I don’t always agree with my sistas and will agree to disagree with them, challenge them on issues and tell them their wrong…I know despite everything black women have had to and continue to endure more than any other group on earth and I will defend them against attacks and slander even from another sista…..stop being part of the problem (co-signing bullshyt) and be part of the sollution.
