The purpose of The League is to only have a “curated” selective group of singles to mingle with one another. For singles to join, they must go through an application process and wait from approval from the administration. Its community is made up of lawyers, doctors and tech executives.
Beyond Playtime: The Mia Doll Emphasizes Positive Images For Girls Of Color
Move over Doc McStuffins. A new African-American doll promoting positive self images is about to hit the market. Created by author Betty K. Bynum, the Mia doll will make its debut at the Toy Fair taking place February 14-17, 2015 in New York. She will present her 18-inch Mia doll, which is the first ever African-American doll fashioned in the likeness of a children’s book’s main character, according to a press release.
Jerry Ferrara To Join Starz’s Power Cast For Season 2
Jerry Ferrara, best known for his role as “Turtle” on HBO’s Entourage series, will be joining the cast of Starz’s Power for its second season. Ferrara will be playing the role of Joe Proctor, an attorney that has made it big, but is hiding something underneath the glossy image. In that vein, Proctor is no different than the show’s main character, Ghost, but it isn’t clear how their paths will cross within the show.
