Michael Jackson’s in deep ish and his tour hasn’t even kicked off yet. Damn, Mike, we know you need the money. WTH??? Flip the lid for more
Michael Jackson’s London concerts have been put in jeopardy, according to reports.
AllGood Entertainment has reportedly sent a cease and desist letter to the organizers of the pop star’s London concerts at the O2 arena, which begin July 8, according to TMZ.
The Web site claims that Jackson’s manager, Frank Dileo, signed a deal in 2008, promising the superstar entertainer would hit the road with his brothers and Janet Jackson.
The deal reportedly stopped Jackson from setting up any other concert deals for a year-and-a-half.
Now, AllGood Entertainment, which had been putting together the family trek, are claiming Jackson signed the London deal before the other contract was up, violating the original contract, according to TMZ.
The Web site claims Jackson didn’t himself sign up for the family tour, however his manager did, TMZ reported.
Reps for the London shows were not immediately available for comment.
Randy Phillips, President & CEO of AEG Live, the company putting on Jackson’s London shows released a statement to Access calling the claims “meritless.”
“We are aware of the allegations which we believe are completely meritless,” Phillips said in the statement. “Rehearsals have been uninterrupted and continue on schedule.”
A Jackson 5 Reunion with Janet Jackson? WTF??? The music business needs to stop trying to go back in time. Nobody’s interested.
