*Exclusive* Damon Wayans Jr. Likes Girls With Certified “Va-Jay-Jays”

Bossip recently chatted it up with Damon Wayans Jr. about this new Dance Flick jawn that comes out next week (the second generation of Wayans are secretly plotting to take over the industry) as well as “theraputic” porn among several other hilarious topics.
Bossip: Your entire family is funny, so what happens when you’re born into the family, and you’re not funny?
Damon Jr: You get excommunicated. There are several Wayans that live somewhere in Fiji. They’re not allowed to live here with us. Actually, everybody in my family is funny.
Bossip: Down to the little cousins?
Damon Jr: Yes. I don’t understand how it happened. It’s either learned behavior or partial DNA.Bossip: How was it shooting the film, Dance Flick?
Damon Jr: It was a lot of fun, because it was a family affair. My cousin directed it, and everybody was there. They kept almost all my improv.Bossip: So, the movie is a parody on dancing. Are you a good dancer?
Damon Jr: I mean, I’m good as far as grinding on a girl at the club. Aside from that, I had to learn all the choreography and it was pretty gay. But, the choreographer was cool as hell. Dave Scott… he did You Got Served.Bossip: We saw a still shot of David Allan Grier dressed up like a huge, fat, rap mogul/jabba the hut looking dude. Who does he play in the film?
Damon Jr: I don’t want to give too much away, but his character was probably my favorite character in the whole film. It was almost impossible shooting scenes with him because of how he looked and how he talked.
Bossip: We checked out your stand up on MySpace and it’s hilarious. Are you still doing stand up?
Damon Jr: Yeah, I am, actually. Guess where I’m going?Bossip: Where?
Damon Jr: I’m going to Boise, Idaho. There are people there? I didn’t even know there were people there.Bossip: We just found out that there are three black people there.
Damon Jr: What? Then that’s probably going to be my whole audience.
Bossip: What kind of girls do you like?
Damon: The ones with vaginas. (We laugh) I’m a sucker for funny girls and goofy girls. I like girls that don’t really love themselves.Bossip: You don’t like girls that love themselves?
Damon Jr: No, I mean girls that are all about themselves. Me, me, me. You feel me?Bossip: Yeah, you want someone with low self esteem, right?
Damon Jr: Exactly, they’re more vulnerable. You can put it anywhere.Bossip: Is there anything in the works, be it film or TV, that will star will every working Wayans family member?
Damon Jr: Dance Flick is that movie.Bossip: You’ve obviously been around the entertainment industry since you were created, but why didn’t you choose to go the “young actor” route?
Damon Jr: I wasn’t really feeling the acting or the comedy. I was an artist. I used to draw. I went to art college. When I realized that wasn’t paying any bills, I was like…Hey….let me be funny. I was like 22 when I first started stand up and I’ve been doing it for four years now.Bossip: So, I see on your MySpace page that you’d like to marry Cassie? (this interviewed was done pre-nekkid pics)
Damon Jr: Just for a little bit.
Bossip: So, you don’t really want to keep her for your whole life?
Damon Jr: I used to.Bossip: We also saw that you’re a swinger? Would you like to give us any information about that?
Damon Jr: I just did that just to try and be funny. Then somebody called me and said ‘Do you swing? Is it true that when swingers swing, they have sex with the same sex too?’ I was like ‘Wait a minute, I’m making a joke.’Bossip: We know that you were a writer for the show My Wife & Kids, but have you written for any other shows?
Damon Jr: Me and my Dad had another show on Showtime called The Underground, and I wrote for that. I’ve pretty much just been in-house. I’m looking forward to the movie coming out and giving me more opportunity to go outside of the box. I’ll still work with my family, but it’s always fun to try new things.Bossip: You said this in your stand up and we want you to answer this question. Why is porn therapeutic?
Damon Jr: (he laughs) It’s therapeutic because life gets stressful and it’s good to unwind. You don’t have to talk to someone after you’re done. You don’t have to sit there and cuddle even though you don’t want to cuddle. You don’t have to kick anybody out. You don’t have to pay for cab fare. You don’t have to wear a condom….unless you really want to. You know?Bossip: Unless that’s your thing.
Damon: Yeah unless you want to make it last longer. I don’t.
Bossip: You’re an attractive guy…what are you going to do when you start having all these female fans? Stans, if you will.
Damon Jr: I’m going to exercise self control.Bossip: Are you really? We don’t know about that.
Damon Jr: I’m like a girl. Girls come at me and I’m like no, you have to work harder.Bossip: Do you have a girlfriend? Are you dating?
Damon Jr: Nope, I’m quite single.

I actually have a large amount of love and respect for them. They do them…what’s true to their hear. Laughter is such a beautiful message and I feel that they display it tremendously. They don’t need the white man’s money or approval b/c they got their own. Now, that’s independent for you.

I appreciate the fact that they are self-made, and they generally produce their own work, and they always manage to get financial backing for the things they want to do, a rarity for Black people in Hollywood. And regardless of what I think of the actual movie content, its usually done well, at least it doesn’t look low-budget, ya know what I mean?
I don’t always like their work (i.e. White Chicks), sometimes it’s boarderline baffoonery, and they could stand to broaden their horizons like the previous poster said. Having said that, they are comedians, and they do sketch comedy because that’s the boat that brought them here, so to speak.
I love that they keep it in the family, and I love how they are loyal to the folks that have been down with them (i.e. David Allen Grier).
We need more of this in Hollywood.

Well actually, I live in Memphis and the movies are $8, not $12, and secondly, I’m not spending thousands of dollars of purses and shoes; I’m going to see a movie. It has always been a recession for some people. It’s not a recession for me because I’m used to having to budget. It’s only a recession for rich, stuck-up *****es because life is not as easy for them anymore. For those of us who have had to struggle one point in life, we don’t complain. We thank God for another day, and know that the best is yet to come. If people can spend millions of dollars on homes, I know I have the right to go spend less than $10 on something that will make me laugh. It’s just that simple for me.

Talkin’ about branching out…Marlon was in Requiem For A Dream. Who knew he could take on a serious role like that. If anybody in that family could turn into a serious hollywood contender, it would be him. –And even though they can be corny sometimes, I love the fact that they made a parody of the Gangsta movie back in the day. For awhile the only movies being made was gangsta/boyz in the hood type films. With their parody they put that hollywood formula on blast. After that movie, hollywood had to change up that tired formula to save face. Now..they’re doing it with the dance film. especially I like the fact that they criticize hollywood’s practice of using white women in one of the only roles that should go to black women. It sucks that they use everybody else to represent the dance culture we help create. I know somebody gonna mention How She Moves, well that was an independent, low budget film. –why did we have to suffer through stiff ***** Julia Stiles and non-acting ***** Jessica Alba?

Nope, we are not the same person. But I do understand her point. Now I don’t agree completely with her, but I respect a thinking woman’s right to voice her views without being called out of her name. And their comedy is not progressive, entertaining maybe, but its more of that black face that makes fun of black people for a largely white audience. Hell, Spike Lee made a whole movie criticizing this type of black comedy. Did u see Bamboozled? –With her comment about a black male being shot in the face, I took that as a reference to the shooting of a black man in NYC by the cops. We need more strong, close knit black families like theirs. The credit needs to go to mama and papa Wayans for raising such a close knit family. It’s a beautiful thing and it’s even more beautiful to see the younger generation doing their own thing in front of or behind the cameras. Good for them. At least they have the money to put out their own films and support their own projects. That’s a beautiful thing.

Oh, he’s kinda of cute! I loved the 1st generation of the Wayans: Kim, Damon and Keenan. They were off the hook. But Marlon and Shawn I can do without.
