Terry Amey Served Time For Robbery, Theft Charges. Amey Is The Father Of Nia Guzman-Amey’s Teen Daughter And In Regular Contact With Baby Royalty

The ex-husband of the woman believed to have borne Chris Brown’s love child is a convicted criminal, Bossip has learned.

Terry Amey was 27 years old when a judge sentenced him to five years in a Texas prison for theft, robbery and credit card abuse charges, officials from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice confirmed to Bossip.

Now 47, Amey served nearly four years in prison. Shortly after he was released, in June 1998, he began seeing Guzman-Amey, who was just 16 at the time. The pair had a daughter, Zillah Jade, and then got married in 2003. They divorced last year after Amey said Guzman-Amey suddenly got pregnant.

It’s not clear if Guzman-Amey was aware of her former flame’s criminal past before they got together.

Amey didn’t return Bossip’s call for comment Friday, but in an earlier interview, he characterized their marriage as normal.

“It was like any other relationship,” Amey told Bossip. “You’re going to have some ups, and you’re going to have some downs.”

Amey wouldn’t answer Bossip’s question about how the pair met, but said he’s still in regular contact with his ex, as well as her alleged love child with Brown, Royalty, nine months.

“I just saw her a few days ago,” Amey told Bossip. “I’ve been seeing the baby since she was born.”
