yung joc and diddy

Yung Joc is going after the infamous career-ending Diddy and Bad Boy Records. He might be the only one in the history of Bad Boy to actually take Diddy to court over money and his music. Pop the top for more:

I got a phone call from Block Entertainment’s Yung Joc late last night. Shady business deals, missing budgets, and now rumors of company financial hardships – Yung Joc reached out to Gyantunplugged.com to share his side of the story. Block Entertainment’s number one artist has been noticeably absent from the roster for at least a year. There have been industry whispers going around that their was inner turmoil inside the record label, particularly between Joc and Block. A couple of weeks ago the newest rumor was that Joc was leaving Block Entertainment all together and had decided to make the full move over to Bad Boy records. But it looks like Harv and them over at Bad Boy records is playing games with easy going MC and now Joc’s taking everybody to court.

Joc broke down all his gripes regarding his relationship with the owner of Block Entertainment – Mr. Big Block. Joc alleges that due to contractual situations, unpaid royalties and unpaid advances the young business mogul and his legal team is currently in the process of taking legal action against his record label.

The multi-platinum rap star alleges that Block Ent/Bad Boy hasn’t offered any label support since 2007. Yung Joc went on to make shocking claims about the inner dealings of Block Ent.
According to Joc, he’s paid for his own public relations, claims to not be receiving his advance money for his projects, alleges that Block has used advances for other projects, and even makes shocking claims regarding his former management company 9196.

Joc quickly broke down his reason[s] for splitting with his former mgmt company, which happened to be owned by Big Block, but is fronted by CEO Rico Brooks. Yung Joc breaks down the situation by saying that it was nothing more then a 360 deal , that resulted in Block getting a piece of everything Joc. Wait, can’t a record label that also owns a mgmt company be considered a conflict of interest? Many people didn’t know, but Shakir Stewart and Ted Lucas took over mgmt of Joc’s career shortly after Joc ended his relationship with 9196. But since Shake’s suicide late last year, Yung Joc and two mgmt companies have taken over mgmt duties.

And what’s this I’m hearing about Big Block charging other record companies 25k to clear Joc for a record? I guess that explains why we haven’t seen Mr. Robinson in any video’s recently. Joc shared tells of Block’s ‘Suge Knight -esque” actions that’s prevented Joc from being cleared to do other music projects outside of Bad Boy and Block ENT.

But, though Jasiel Robinson is upset with his current business situation with Block, the popular artist wasn’t in the mood to throw grease. I have been hearing all kinds of rumors surrounding BlockENT and when I inquired about the street whispers, Joc made it clear that he was only interested in addressing his direct gripes with the company.

Joc is currently being legally represented by Londell Mcmillian and Nova Perry.

It should be noted that Joc’s new venture with Hot Stylz is a profitable one. Their smash single “Lookin Boy” feat Joc sold over a million ringtones and Joc’s currently hard at work on his newest project “Mr Robinson’s Neighborhood”. Joc has re-teamed up with producer Nitti and has provided me with three songs for you all to listen to, which I’ll have for you later today.

If Yung Joc turns up missing, yall know what happened – the Bad Boy Bermuda Triangle effect. Diddy’s claimed several careers already. Watch out Yung Joc. You might be next.

in this day and age, you’d have to be a really stupid jackass to sign a recording contract with Diddy. Day26 better enjoy it while it lasts, which won’t be much longer.

  • jswang

Sounds like his beef is more with Block entertainmen than with Badboy.

  • Sasha_Kayente

Good for Young Joc taking a stand for himself. Make Diddy pay where it hurts: his pockets. Diddy may be making money but he is a disgrace to many Blacks in America. Look at all the seeds he’s dropped. Sure he can afford them…but it doesn’t say much about him really being a man. And, any woman who let’s him touch them: IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. So…all that said…take away the money and he’s just a scrub.

The music industry is dirty. You never hear about actors talking about not getting paid. I would rather get into the acting field they need to leave that music industry alone.

Diddy is a make ‘em and break ‘em type of guy. If you all notice, in order to make money he has to produce artist and music. It happened to Faith Evans, 112, Carl Thomas, Making The Band and The Lox (I’m sure many, many more but can’t remember them all). He has to spend money in order to make money…right. He is a PIMP!!! He pimps all his artist. The Lox said the same thing; they had to pay for there plane fare, hotel, etc. So what, he dishes out $20,000 in production fees and dance rehersals but from that 20g’s he’ll profit about $650,000+ right? He’s a corporate pimp but, Lord forbid you try yo get out of his contracts….ya’ll remember what he said to Day 26 and the last 2 members of Danity Kane? He said he would F*ck somebody up if you mess with his money. Remember the first Making The Band: Sara Stokes, Dylan “Dylinjah” John, Rodney “Young City” Hill, Lynese “Babs Bunny” Wiley,
Lloyd “Ness” Mathis and Fredrick “Freddy P” ? Sara Stokes had her husband to look over the contract and her co-band mates were mad because she didn’t want to sign the contract. Her husband said it was FLAWED. He wanted their lawyer to look over it but NOOO, the co-band mates were so igore to make that money, so she signed it any way. I bet they wished they never signed it now?! Huh?

  • Smoovee Sayz

Day 26 is also performing on cruise ships…lol wtf
    cut it out Diddy!!

  • JermaineHarding

Carl Thomas said he left Bad Boy because to him Diddy didn’t care about his brother getting killed in Chicago and Diddy didn’t come to his funeral and tried to keep Carl’s mind off grieving by trying to get him back in the studio he said you gotta make Bad Boy some money and Carl got pissed and asked to leave Bad Boy so Diddy said if you don’t wanna be here you can go so he let Carl Thomas go. 112 signed with Def Jam because of a bad production deal they signed with their then managers Courtney Sills and Kevin Wales. Kevin Wales was Diddy’s friend and introduced Diddy to Q, Mike, Slim, and Daron around 1994 when they were around 15 and 16 years old outside of Club 112. They didn’t get a lot of money because L.A. Reid had to get a cut at Arista, Diddy had to get a cut for Bad Boy, and their managers had to get their cuts, then 112 had to split it four ways and that’s what tore the group apart and Mike blamed his groupmates for no reason for stealing old royalty checks and left the group so the group now is Q, Slim, and Daron and they will come back as a trio though maybe Mike will get it together and realize that Q and Daron didn’t steal his money.

    …tee friggin’ hee :)

You have to read between the lines. More than likely Joc’s contract with diddy probably has a non disclosure clause, however, not his contract with bloc entertainment. However, for all intents and purposes he is probably accusing them both of the same actions. He is probably trying to get at diddy indirectly by aiming at bloc entertainment. its actually a pretty good strategy when you are locked into a bad contract with Diddy.
