If this is true then I have lost respect for Alicia Keys. If he’s the right man for you, then WAIT for him to make the split official. A “real man” knows a “real woman” waits for the divorce to come first. What’s this woman’s worth?

Many of you guys keep saying that, “Well, if he wasn’t happy, what should he do wait?” Um.. yeah. He is married. Why wouldn’t a husband wait until the marriage is over to start dating someone else. And I’m not talking about the marriage being over in his mind, but the marriage being over legally and spiritually.

It also seems that you guys are misunderstanding what some posters are saying. I don’t think anyone is saying that people should stay in an unhappy marriage; but at the very least, when there is a realization that there is no reconciling, then that’s when you go and get a divorce.

It’s interesting that you guys think that the proper way to deal with a marriage is to start dating someone new FIRST and THEN go get the divorce.

And you guys say, “Well, they were separated 7 months.” If that it is true, 7 months must be an eternity to you guys. I mean, the people were together for over 10 years. But, I guess it would be too much to ask for him to have enough respect for his wife to wait until the relationship was completely dissolved. But, even if he could’ve gotten a legal separation, which Mashonda said they did not have when he started dating AK, that would’ve shown at least a little bit of respect toward the woman who had been not just a girlfriend or a baby mama, but a woman who was the woman that HE decided to marry, and be with for over 10 years.

And another thing, to hop from one relationship to the next isn’t very healthy. Usually people need time to assess their last relationship. And I don’t know how much assessing one can do while their last relationship is still one of their current ones.

Ironically I thought the EXACT same thing but I didn’t want to disrespect the woman’s brother and speak on something I didn’t know. But I swear I was thinking the same thing…

No disrespect at all.The thing is that if he did cheat at least she didn’t find out.I thought it more ironic that she stayed with him after the way he tortured her.
