Common Under Fire On Twitter Over Daily Show Comments About Blacks Resolving Racism
Things aren’t looking good for recent Oscar award-winning rapper Common. Last week he appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart where he suggested the African-Americans need to “extend a hand of love” toward white folks in order to end racism in America.
The idea of putting the responsibility of brokering racial harmony on blacks put a sour taste in the mouths of many of people who are fans of his music and champions of his socio-political consciousness.
Per usual, Twitter is the speeding bus that many have chosen to ride on en route to maiming Common’s mostly pristine character.
