Iman is just expressing african americans mindset:For AAs to be beautiful is to have light skin ,long hair,long nose…..etc .This slave mentallity explain why all famous african americans have either whites or almost whites partners.AAs americans and specially men and light skinned women cant believe that a true african queen with african physical features is the firs lady of the world.Michelle is a gorgeous and smart lady.Jealous people can go ***** themselves.

I don’t find anything wrong with what Iman said. Michele is not a physically beautiful woman. She does, however, seem to be a beautiful human being on the inside and to top it off, is super intelligent. Not a lot of physically beautiful people can say that about themselves, or have that said about them.

folks on here are funny. You get on Iman for trashing a successful black woman and you turn around and trash Iman (who is also a successful black woman).

Iman is entitled to her opinion. We don’t even know the whole context of the interview (they could have asked her specifically what she thought about Michelle’s looks). And when you look past the “no great beauty” part you can see that Iman gave Michelle a very big compliment.

Dear Iman, please sit down. And while you’re sitting please consider…the leader of the free world not only finds this woman attractive, he pursued her. He probably noticed her elegance, beautiful skin, height, great cheekbones,intelligence and strength. Sometimes women are their own worst enemies. No, Iman, stay sitting, you were a great pioneer in your field once but if you have nothing nice to say now please just shut your mouth. Maybe use this time to take your blonde weave out.

I understand what Iman was saying and I think she was being sincere about it. Just poor choice of words. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We all have our different ideas about beauty and just because the first lady is black doesn’t mean that all black people think she’s beautiful. I think Michelle Obama is gorgeous but my husband doesn’t think she is. That’s his opinion though.
