Don’t you miss The Huxtables? We sure do. A show like that is sorely needed again since we barely have anyone representin’ us right these days. Pop the hood for more

Can you believe it’s been 25 years since The Cosby Show first aired?

To mark the anniversary, the cast reunited on The Today Tuesday to relive their favorite moments.

“Our stuff is funny. There’s love there. It’s all genuine,” Bill Cosby explains of the endurance of the show, which premiered Sept. 20, 1984.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who played Theo Huxtable, says the show is still popular after all these years because of Bill Cosby’s “vision. He wanted the show to be timeless. If I wanted to put slang in, he’d say, ‘No, let’s make up slang so 20 years later, it’s still relevant.'”

There’s nothing on today that shows black people in a positive light…Even if it was a “bit” over the top…this was and will always be one of the GREATEST SHOWS ever created with a black family…

    well…next to it’s spinoff…A DIFFERENT WORLD…

You know bill and the guy that played elvin made a good point about, the transistion phase from stage acting to acting on camera. It is a big difference, with stage acting the movements have to be exaggerated because the audience is so far away, you have to speak loudly also. However, when you are on camera you have to be more natural because the camera is your audience. I think this is where Tyler Perry and his cast of his television shows go wrong, they are so use to being stage actors that they don’t know how to tone down their acting for television.

    That’s when T.V. was good!
