Don’t you miss The Huxtables? We sure do. A show like that is sorely needed again since we barely have anyone representin’ us right these days. Pop the hood for more

Can you believe it’s been 25 years since The Cosby Show first aired?

To mark the anniversary, the cast reunited on The Today Tuesday to relive their favorite moments.

“Our stuff is funny. There’s love there. It’s all genuine,” Bill Cosby explains of the endurance of the show, which premiered Sept. 20, 1984.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who played Theo Huxtable, says the show is still popular after all these years because of Bill Cosby’s “vision. He wanted the show to be timeless. If I wanted to put slang in, he’d say, ‘No, let’s make up slang so 20 years later, it’s still relevant.'”

You know bill and the guy that played elvin made a good point about, the transistion phase from stage acting to acting on camera. It is a big difference, with stage acting the movements have to be exaggerated because the audience is so far away, you have to speak loudly also. However, when you are on camera you have to be more natural because the camera is your audience. I think this is where Tyler Perry and his cast of his television shows go wrong, they are so use to being stage actors that they don’t know how to tone down their acting for television.

Glad to see all of them and even though Cosby, Hyman, and Rashad has aged, it’s nice that they made an appearance. Looooved Rashad’s comments. On another note, I wonder why Cosby can’t repair his eye. It’s been like that since the last few seasons of the show and has only gotten worse. Hence the shades he’s always wearing. Damn Oprah for making him take them off when he was on her show!

IT SENDS A POSITIVE MESSAGE WHEN YOU SEE REAL LIVE PEOPLE IN PROFESSIONAL FIELDS, WITH STANDARDS
AND SET VALUES THAT HELP THEIR CHILDREN, FAMILY GROW AND PREPARE FOR THE WORLD AROUND THEM. ESPECIALLY FOR WOMEN WHO HAVE AND CONTINUE TO ACHIEVE PROFESSIONAL CAREERS AND DO NOT NEED TO DEPEND ON THE SPOUSE, THE MAN, ETC, THEY ARE INDPENDENT AND READY FOR THE WORLD AND WHAT IT BRINGS.

Its hard to make a positive show that uplifts you. Not belittle other actors or cruel jokes just to get a laugh. The show was number 1 for so long for a reason. In a class of its own. Bring a smile to yourself and relive the moments all over again. A BLACK comedy all people can enjoy.
