Jesus Take the Wheel: Cops Choke Out and Bloody a 120lb 14 Year-Old Kid on Tape!

This mess is sincerely disturbing. When it comes to the police, it’s the abuse of power and ego that is the most upsetting thing. By the way, the young man was charged with…”resisting arrest”.

    Yes, this was WRONG on SO many levels. And to top it off, he was charged with resistining arrest? From what I saw, he was standing still. That’s a bunch of bull, I dont care how “out of hand” KIDS get, no one deserves to be treated like an animal point blank. I hope something is done about this!

  • Nigga Said

    So this is what happened to Big Worm after Friday. He became a cop.

    @ Tasha: Exactly. From what you saw he was standing still. This only part of the story. We dont know what led up to this. I aint saying the police were justified, but you cant say they were wrong either.

  • Chellesz

    no 14 year old should’ve been treated in that manner*

    I agree with those who said nobody knows what happenened beforehand.

    Though the one part I saw that was disturbing was when they let him drop to the ground on his stomach and tried to stretch his handcuffed hands above his head. Oww that sh*t looked like it hurt.

  • Lady Star

    They used to do this all the time when I was a young one growing up in Mobile. You young folks of today dont know what me went through to make it all better for yall. I cant stand to hear young kids talk about how hard they got it now! Go back to 1962 in Alabama if you want it hard.

  • luvchild

    opps *happened*

  • Treez

    I think the cops were excessive and should recieve some diciplinary action, but 1) we don’t know what events lead up to the beating and 2) we need to start teaching our children to stop being so disrespectful to law enforcement. The cops generally don’t go after people who respect their authority.

  • Jay

    I would expect this from white cops, but black ones, reminds me of scene in Boyz In Da Hood. Black cops are often times worse than the racist white cops out there. I have run in with cops many times, there are some good ones out there but they are in the minority.

    We didn’t see the full story. The camera started filming after the boy was arrested. Stop acting like everyone in the hood is a perfect angel. In my hood…blacks are murdering each other every day. This year alone there have been over 7 murders within 1 mile and numerous shootings. People are chopped up and put into garbage bags. Show the police some respect because they have to deal with these things every day!

  • SHOTS 24/7

    I VE READ THAT TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM THE POLICE WE HAD TO FORM GROUPS AND GANGS FOR THE INJUSTICES WE WERE SUBJECTED 2.AND NOW ITS THE POLICE WHO ARE SUBJECT!NO NOT SUBJECT,SUSPECT!!! This is very disturbing, but we didn’t see things before the choking…That still doesn’t give them the right to hurt him that way…I truly believe that cops are dumb…Their IQ’s have to be very low because they act so slow…That’s why they think they have power and control when they have a badge…They can’t compensate any other way for their little brains…Yeah I said it… (Hey didn’t one of the cops look like Big Worm?) —————————–

    You hit the nail right on the head, the police are not bright. They want individuals who only react quickly and not think things through.

    On the other hand I read the boy was told to leave the premises and he didnt. So I guess the cop thought he’d show the boy a lesson. If the boy would have left the scene, he wouldnt have been choked out.

  • Treez

    @ Shots 24/7

    You can take the caps off, I hear you man!

    @ Des

    People need to start taking personal responsibility for their actions. The cops generally don’t beat @zz for no reason. He was probably talkin ish.

    We all need to take personal responsibility for the things we do…so if you know the cops are quick to give out a beat down in your neighborhood why would you be talkin ish? If the kid was disrespectful, then he was the dumb one because he knew what was going to happen.

  • Nique

    @brnhornet

  • krissy

    This is sad, that kind of violence towards a young child should not be tolerated whether the police are white, black, or w/e color…some black police officers can be just as racist towards their own people as the white officers are

  • Des

    @Alpha male you are right about wanting someone that reacts immediately…I have no doubt that the kid did something beforehand, but why couldn’t that just have tazzed his little azz instead…The kid’s face was horrible and they didn’t even stop when the chick was recording. That’s what I mean by low IQ’s. Don’t get me wrong some cops have degrees and sense, but the cops on the beat half the time don’t have it all…And someone said they have to do what they can to make it home and BLAH BLAH.. No one said they shouldn’t take control of situations, but like this come on now!!!

  • Steph

    @brnhornet
    Umm you can clearly see the kid didn’t do anything-he was ONLY charged with resisting arrest! Your father said??? Personally, I think your father “choked you hard” a bit too much…

  • Z (Fine Like a Well-Aged Wine)

    Hate to say it b/c I know a verbal assault follows on here, but I am sure he deserved at least a portion of the abuse.

  • SHOTS 24/7

    FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!! HE CAN SAY WHATEVER HE WANTS!!!THOSE OFFICERS TOOK A SWORN OATH!!!THE LIL BOY DID NOT!!!

  • Des

    @ Shots 24/7 you have a point

  • Alpha Male

    @Des

    Whether the boy was tazed or choked out, force would have still been used to make him leave. Bottomline the boy should have left when he was told. He should have been in the house when the police arrived. There is no excuse.

  • Des

    @ Alpha Male Wow I can’t believe this…If it was your kid you wouldn’t be saying this if you saw him/her beat when you went to the station…Like I said that badge does not warrant a beat down..they should have put the cuffs on put his little azz in the back seat and booked him…DONE! end of the story…I can say one thing…I bet his azz will think about mouthing off at anybody again…LOL!!

  • a darius somewhere

    keep thinking the LAW is a joke,lol. dont matter the age, do somthing slightly crazy and they will tear u a new one and the chances of getting off arent slim. cops are in the biggest gang, lol

  • Des

    @brnhornet
    As far as the boy and all the rest of these little thundercats. It amazes me that thy act all hard, quick to fight or shoot somebody over nothing, disrepect their parents and other elders, destroy our community and make it hard for decent black folk to get a fair shake in this world. But yet they want to cry and call foul when they get a little roughed up. MY man Professor X said it best: SISSIES!!
    ___________________________
    I have to second this!! You are right….LOL!! Thundercats HOOOOOOO!!!

  • Detroiter4Life

    It’s hard to say what’s right and what’s wrong when you only see half of the picture! I agree the kids nowadays need a good chokin hell the $hit works! He’s probably the same one every last one of you lock your door when you see him coming. We live in a sad day and it doesn’t excuse the police but I must say I understand because it’s a few of these lil negros I’d put in that same damn choke hold!!

  • Alpha Male

    @ Alpha Male Wow I can’t believe this…If it was your kid you wouldn’t be saying this if you saw him/her beat when you went to the station…

    ———————-

    Please believe MY child would have been in school or something, or would have been smart enough to go HOME and not be apart of the situation.

  • Treez

    I remember when I was young my parents always told me to answer yes sir, no sir, thank you sir when you are talking to cops, b/c you don’t want to give them a reason to beat your ass. I guess no one told this kid that.

  • elle

    no one deserves the abuse especially when it is 2 on 1 lets get real. Lack of empathy at its best

  • Des

    @Treez
    Yeah I feel you on the sacrilege in the community.
    I think it’s because they have no one around that’s positive to show them the way..I think they have nothing to fall back on, no real job, no real family, no love etc…
    So they want to be hard for WHAT!!
    Being a little dummy with your pants to your knees is embarrassing and is not cool. When will they learn, maybe never…
    Anyway I’m out..Thanks everybody for keeping my brain clicking today LOL!! But it’s almost lunch and I gotta eat!

  • Treez

    @ Des I agree with u too we gotta do more for our community…

  • Alpha Male

    @Treez and Des

    This dialouge is great people. Lets start comming up with some solutions, even if we dont completely agree on everything…

  • Des

    @TREEZ
    One more thing you have a great point and maybe that is why I am so sensitive to this…I help my community out and I see kids like this every day…They are so poorly misguided and it comes from generations back, it didn’t just start with them. That’s why I believe if someone would have given this little larrikin guidance maybe he would be like most of us when we grew up (successful and professional)…I feel everybody on here when they say their PARENTS put it down…That’s what I mean his parents didn’t and that’s why his azz was out their mouthing off and the cops took it too far with trying to discipline his azz. (Cop style)

    @Alpha Male
    I understand that you feel you have a good enough ring on your kid that his/her would be somewhere away from BS…But time and time again, I‘ve run into parents that are doing their best (good jobs, nice things, the whole nine) and their kids are just trying to kick it I guess…They’ve been tore down by their kids choices even when they’ve tried to teach them right…It’s something very wrong these days…

  • Treez

    I’d be interested to know what people thing can be done to change the thug mentality in the community that leads to events like this?

  • Alpha Male

    @Des

    I agree and I know being a parent is not easy. The problem is children are desensitized to a lot and they have no fear. Best beleive I will give my child a heavy dose of discipline and love. I cant say my child will be perfect, but doing my best in raising him or her will drastically cut down their chances of being like this little boy. A lot of times little boys like this have been abandoned too early with NO father figure. Fathers are the key these days to the Black Family’s prosperity..

  • Treez

    @ PM you have had me rollin all morning! lol!

  • http://www.imeem.com/mrslatiayates missunderstood (f*ck some playoffs, I want my TV back!!!!)

    “He was probably talkin ish.”
    hhmmmm, ok. Since when did that become against the law???!?!?

  • Treez

    @ Alpha Male…so true about having a father figure…How do you think we could make a bigger impact on getting fathers back with their children or something maybe along the lines of the big brother program?

    @Treez

    Since a heavy portion of Black Men are incarcerated, I think we should start there. Transitional workshops that show men family works. Family is everything in my opinion.

  • Alpha Male

    To add to that, tens of thousands of Black Men are released from prison every year. The question is what are they doing when they go home…

  • Treez

    @ missunderstood – I think you can agree that the police have a pretty tough job and they put their lives on the line everyday. And when they are trying to do their job we should have respect for them. Actually, talkin ish can be considered a crime if you are hindering the officers from doing their job. And if you are acting an @zz when an officer tells you to do something, then you deserve to get beat and I’m not really sympathetic…

  • http://bossip bb

    Oh my gosh I can’t believe that all this is Happening in America

    Black men throwing Children out of moving vehicles and eating the body parts of the YOUNG and VUNERABLE

  • Treez

    @ Alpha Male

    I wish we could get some type of program like that going and try to include our black celbs and athletes.

  • Treez

    @ brnhornet – I agree with much of what you said but we can’t just say F-em…I don’t think you can reach the next generation without reaching out to the generaton that fathered them.

  • OMG!!!!

    Oh my God! This is in my home town Toledo, Ohio. This took place in the Bran Woodlocks. I know cause I used to be over there ALL the time when my best friend lived there. Believe me when I say that the police use alot of brutal force over in that neighbor hood. Unecessarily I might add. I remember once the police surrounded my best friends house because they were looking for the father of her child. He wasn’t there, but they bust in guns and all, scaring everyone half to death, and completely tore up the home WITHOUT a search warrent mind you. Toledo is in pretty bad shape. AND they just laid off hundreds of our police force. I’m sure stuff like this is only going to get worse….

  • JINNY

    Dang and the cops were black..

  • Alpha Male

    @brnhornet

    Whoa! Whoa! We cannot afford to turn our backs on the brothers locked down, especially when tens of thousands are being released everyday. What about them? They still have the ability to change their lives, procreate, and live to be upstanding individuals. I beleive the young ones of today, can still learn from the formerly incarcerateds mistakes. To be honest I have met several former elderly criminals that have turned their lives around, have earned degrees in jail and are very bright. I dont think we should forget about them.

    On the other hand you are on point about the new generation, but unfortunatley, they are fatherless too. We are too selfish as a society. Black Men stand up!!!!

  • Sydney™

    From the Toledo Free Press:

    The 14-year-old boy who was allegedly beaten up by Toledo police officers on May 15 is back in the hospital.

    At-large council candidate Stephen Ward confirmed that Trevor Casey is at St. Vincent suffering from the shakes, slurred speech and blurry vision. Ward said Casey seemed fine when he saw him on May 18.

    “He doesn’t look well at all,” Ward said.

    Police Chief Mike Navarre said May 19 that the officers accused of beating up the boy will remain on duty during internal review, which is normal for excessive force complaints.

    Navarre said the department gets a lot of complaints and if officers were taken off the street for each one, there would be no one to patrol. Officers are usually put on leave when it involves criminal wrongdoing or a weapon, he said.

    Navarre, as he has told other media outlets since the May 15 incident, said Byron Daniels and Andre Bills are “outstanding officers with excellent reputations in the community.”

    Ward hosted a press conference May 18 to decry the actions of Daniels and Bills. Ward said Toledo police beat up Casey during his arrest on May 15 at the Brand Whitlock housing projects because he allegedly did not move fast enough when officers told him to get off an apartment stoop.

    I can’t believe some of you think the police had a reason to BEAT this child because he wasn’t being polite. All their job requires them to do is make an arrest and subdue if the person is trying to fight them. I hope one of your sons or cousins or uncles or male relatives get a chance to experience some unwarranted beatings and we’ll see how you feel then. Anybody out there that thinks beating Black men like they’re animals for little of nothing deserve to be beat themselves. We’re becoming so desensitized to this *ish…more and more prisons are being built, environments are being created in poor neighborhoods to drive them to criminal behavior and hopelessness (and I’m not condoning anything) and then you’re blamed for a circumstance that someone else created. Black people need to wake the F*** UP and stop being against each other and start thinking collectively and embracing what’s good among us (and there’s plenty) and work together to produce, manufacture, market and have our own. I don’t EVER see any footage of White men and women being beat the F*** down over ANYTHING and don’t think for one second that they don’t commit crimes…there’s good and bad in EVERY culture. WAKE THE F*** UP PEOPLE

    I don’t care what the hell this young boy did, he is only 14 years old, and he did not deserve to be treated like that. “TWO, WRONGS DON’T MAKE IT RIGHT”

    I wholeheartedly agree that our Black leaders and people before us died and sacraficed a lot. Ill say it again, this whole situation could have been prevented. As soon as the cop said moved he should have moved. If the cop was intially verbally abusive the boy or guardian should have filed a complaint. You must pick and choose your battles. The boy was obviously outnumbered and out gunned. There are rules to the game. If Black Peolple are tired of being kicked around, then take some self accountablily. Learn the game, and become a Judge, Doctor, Lawyer, Corperate CEO. Then you’d really be poised to kick THEM were it hurts..

    @Alpha Male

    “The suspect didnt give a damn about his own well being driving recklessely. Why should the officers care about his well being?”

    It’s not a quest of whether officers should care about a suspect’s well-being. It’s part of their job to follow proper procedure when taking a suspect into custody. That doesn’t cover the vicious beating of an unconscious man, which is why all five officers lost their jobs.

  • Sydney™

    *question*

    “I guess he will learn to move a little quicker next time the popo tells him to do something…”

    And, by the time this case plays itself out, the officers may learn how to use appropriate force.

  • Lady Star

    I know none of mine would act this this. Mama never hesitated to back hand any of mines.

  • Alpha Male

    @Sydney

    Hmmm..Ill research myself the details in the case of the pregnant woman.

    Its more than just doing what you are told, its more about doing the little things in avoiding a situation.

    Can you blame the natural bias by some officers, when over 80% of the apprehended individuals are African American?

  • Treez

    @ Sydney – you’re right that blacks have been the target of unwarranted police brutality (and that has to be dealt with), but honestly our community always playing the victim when a black person gets beat down by the police is tired. Many of these negros deserve it. They have no respect for anything and think they can do whatever they want. We need to stand up to those in our community holding us back with their thuggery and shame them into submission. By blindly siding with a black person just b/c police are involved only reinforces the victim mentality that is so pervasive in our community.

  • http://bossip bb

    Black people are always going to be MISTREATED in the U.S because of the lack of LEVERAGE and OPTIONS.

    The only way to GAIN any kind of LEVERAGE is to become a force to be RECKONED with

    Since that is not going to happen anytime SOON then be PRAYERFUL and try to LIVE IN PEACE

    The headline reads the boy weighs 120lbs. Does he look 120lbs? He is 155lbs and 5’10″. He still is 14 but being he admitted to smoking Maryjane and being the size he is, I am sure he gave the officers a run for their money.

  • NIK

    I am disgusted at these “men” in uniform. I have lots of family on the force and they are disgusted as well. No matter if this child was resisting, running, not moving fast enough etc… There is NO reason to BEAT him til he passes out?!?!? They completely abused thier authority, and should be fired from the force immediately! IMMEDIATELY! WTF is goin on!!! I can tell you if that was MY son Officer Daniels and Officer Bills would need an ambulance themselves!!!

  • NIK

    Sidney –

    Why should they care about that kids well being?? BECAUSE THAT’S THIER JOB THATS WHY! You give an OATH when you decide to do that job.

    It is as follows:

    Ethical oath for police officers
    The ethical oath for police officers is taken by all police officers on completion of the Diploma in Police Studies. The oath is normally taken at the Police School in the presence of the National Police Commissioner. Family members, friends, teaching staff and other representatives will also be present.

    The ethical oath was introduced at the beginning of 2001.

    The oath reads as follows:

    Oath concerning the professional ethics of police officers

    I DO SOLEMNLY DECLARE UPON MY HONOUR AND CONSCIENCE THAT I WILL ACT AT ALL TIMES TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY AND KNOWLEDGE IN A MANNER BEFITTING A POLICE OFFICER

    I WILL PRESERVE THE DIGNITY AND WILL RESPECT THE RIGHTS OF ALL INDIVIDUALS

    I WILL DISCHARGE MY DUTIES WITH INTEGRITY AND WILL PROMOTE UNDERSTANDING AND CONCILIATION

    I WILL EXERCISE MY AUTHORITY AS A POLICE OFFICER IN THE MANNER INTENDED BY THE LAW

    I WILL FAITHFULLY OBEY THE ORDERS OF MY SUPERIORS AND WILL BE READY TO CONFRONT DANGER IN THE LINE OF DUTY

    I WILL ACT WITH HONESTY, COURTESY AND REGARD FOR THE WELFARE OF OTHERS, AND WILL ENDEAVOUR TO DEVELOP THE ESPRIT DE CORPS

    OK, I want you to remember the statement you made in case you’re ever in the position of having your own rights violated. Yes, there are cases in which force is justifiable, but there are also clear incidences of brutality that goes over the line of appropriateness.

    “Can you blame the natural bias by some officers, when over 80% of the apprehended individuals are African American?”

    Hmm, are you not black? So, given that stat, should an officer pull you over while you’re driving a luxury car because, hey, as a black man, you’re probably a criminal?
    ——————

    Why yes I am Black and I do drive a luxury car! LOL

    Yeah being Black it comes with the territory. Im a walking freakin target. It is expected of be to be ignorant and beligerant. Thats why when I am pulled over, I do the little things. Make sure I have my license and registration already out for the officer to check. I might say, How are you officer? I make sure that I dont have any warrants out for my arrest. I make sure my license is clean. And at the end of the pull over, I am free to leave.

  • Alpha Male

    @Sydney

    Have you done a ride along with an officer before?

    Even if the cops do pull you over for being black, that doesn’t give you the right to act a complete monkey…

    Most of these situations can be diffused if the suspect will treat the officer with respect. I’ve been pulled over many times for DWB but each time I am respectful and do what the officers tell me. I don’t give lip and I don’t eye grill them either and I have never had a problem with any police. I’m not saying that my experience describes all black male experiences, but generally an officer will not mess with you if you give them the respect they deserve.

  • Sydney™

    @Alpha Male

    “C’mon Sydney, the car was a gasoline filled missle. I stand, the driver didnt give regard to his own life.”

    So that’s justification for the beating of an unconscious man?

    No, I haven’t done a ride-along, have you?

    @Nik

    I believe we’re in agreement — I was responding to another poster’s question about why the officers should care about the well-being of suspects.

    Maybe you have never wrongly been attacked by a police officer. But when/if you ever do, I can tell you right now your attitude will change. Some people HAVE to run from police officers cause they know whats about to happen! When your from a specific place you begin to learn what cops are shady and what cops are really there for thier people.

    @Sydney™ the boy was already on probation. He wasn’t even getting the discipline he needed at home.

  • NIK

    Oh gotcha Syd… sorry :)

    So you beat him to a pulp??? WTF???? would this be a different story if it were two white men that did this???

    Yes it would……

  • Treez

    @ Sydney™

    Again, it is not the job of officers to discipline kids — they should be getting that at home.

  • Alpha Male

    @Sydney

    Yes I have done several ride alongs, and let me tell you, it can be a hair raising, adrenaline pumping, emotional/ mentally recking experience. No one really understands the mental make up of an veteran officer. Just imagine the mental state of the men and women coming home from Iraq? Well maybe its not that bad…lol..I urge you to ride along a couple of times.

  • NIK

    Alpha –
    I have done many of ride alongs. We are a force family. We as civilians can’t stomach a lot that they do, but that’s why they go through months and months of training. By the end of training 40% of officers back out cause they just can’t take the heat. Once you swear by the oath, you live by it. No matter what.

    We are not talking about the good cops, we are talking about the cops that abuse thier auth, and terrorize thier people! There is no excuse for this. None. What if that were your brother, or son?? Would you look at his beaten face and say “Well honey, maybe you shouldn’t have run?” WTF???

    I remember when the song “Black Cop” was popular.

  • Alpha Male

    @Sydney

    If Black Men followed my model of conduct upon being pulled over, they would NEVER get the guts beat out of em. A wise man once said that “Attitude is something small that goes a long way.” Oh wait I think that was me! LOL

    I feel bad you had to go through that at the drug store, but again can you blame the bias of the manager? His inventory was probably low on lip gloss that little Black girls like to steal…lol

  • Treez

    @ Sydney

    Yes, that should be the case, but not always. What are your thoughts about the case in Texas involving the NFL player (forgot his name) whose mother-in-law died in the hospital while an officer was grilling him over running a red light?
    ______________________

    I think that was a sad situation and the cop should have been a little more understanding (like escorting them to the hospital to see if their story checked out). But they did run a red light and the officer was doing his job (think about how many excuses he hears on a daily basis). I don’t think they were singled out b/c they were black…they broke the law (even if it might have been justified).

  • Nette

    all you all who say that we dont know what this kid cuda done are idiots.
    1. he is 14 years old…child abuse laws
    2. he was CHARGED with resisting arrest…he didn’t have NO gun, NO knife, NO drugs.
    3. The police had a 14 year old boy, in a choke hold, CHOKING him, he was already subdued…and he had his HAND over his mouth and NOSE so he couldn’t breathe…he was choking a minor and suffocating him….only when someone was screaming OMG did he then remove his HAND…and after a while he let him go…
    AGAINST THE LAW

  • pm

    @syd and nik..if a white cop had told the boy to get up and go home would the boy have listened??We as a people have little or no respect for black cops. When to tell u the truth who better understands us then they do. That boy did something to provoke that.

  • Sydney™

    @Treez

    “But they did run a red light and the officer was doing his job (think about how many excuses he hears on a daily basis). I don’t think they were singled out b/c they were black…they broke the law (even if it might have been justified).”

    The officer, whom I believe has since resigned, did not use basic common sense — The family was clearly in distress when they pulled into the hospital parking lot, and a different response should have been used. Period.

    @pm

    “When to tell u the truth who better understands us then they do. That boy did something to provoke that.”

    OK, correct me if I’m wrong, but there were black cops among the officers who beat Rodney King, right? Yeah, they understand us alright.

  • NIK

    PM-

    lol.. I just don’t know what to say. Provoked??? Do you have children?

  • NIK

    TREEZ!!!!!!!!! lol… you can’t be serious. You just can’t.

    The POLICE said he wasn’t doing what they asked. If you talked to him I bet you would get a completely different story.

    And you talk about being a man?? It takes TWO grown MEN to handle him? Where is the honor of being a “MAN” in that? You put them up agains any of the MEN i know and see how “MANLY” they are

  • detroitplaya

    Those two cops need to hop in their cars and drive an hour north to Detroit.

    We need them to put some of our b!tch-ass kids in check.

  • NIK

    I feel that white people of authortiy were wrongly beating us and everyone was ok with it, it was wrong. But when you have two black men beating a little black boy (whether it was provoked or not isn’t the point) in 2008, we need to take a step back and re asses the situation. What have all of our granparents and thier grandparent been beaten for over and over??? Just for us to do the same to each other?

  • NIK

    Detroit Playa-

    It’s not thier responsibility. It’s the parents. If you (not you personally) have failed your children, YOU should get the sht kicked out of you, not your children

  • Alpha Male

    @Sydney

    I am sorry to hear that it has left a profound effect on you. Thats good you are doing the little things of not giving impression that you are doing something wrong. Because some brothers and sisters would have cursed that man out! Which I dont advocate. But for me? No pressure or fear over here. It is what it is. Every time I get pulled over, I have a code of conduct. After that white cop pulls me over he will leave with the impression that all Black folks arent the same. I make sure of that. If I was white, maybe things would be different, but I dont look at it that way. I am a Black Man. I am in control of my future and destiny. Im am destined for bigger things.

    Good talking to yall. Im out for now..

  • NIK

    YAY PM!!!!!!

    MY NEW HERO! LOL

  • Treez

    @ Nik

    Ok maybe I wouldn’t beat him in his hosital bed, but you realize the kid was already on probation right? I’m sure the boy would have a different account, but cops don’t choke people out and bloody them for no reaon. But he learned respect the hard way, next time when the officer tell him to jump he will say how high and that is how it should be…

  • Sydney™

    @Treez

    “I feel where u are coming from, I think we have all felt abused by law enforcement at one time or another, but what I’m trying to say is that getting mad and rebellious is not the answer (and it seems that is what our community does all the time)…the answer is to be an example of how an honorable black person acts to defeat the stereotypes that society has givent us.”

    I’m not advocating getting “mad and rebellious” either, and in my case, I was respectful to the officer (and I was pretty scared — I had never been in trouble). But I do think that awareness has to be brought to this issue of profiling and other mistreatment and that it is intolerable, and there are legal means to do so.

  • NIK

    Oh treez…….. lol

    The next time that little boy sees a cop, he’s gonna run so fast. I would. And all the people in that community are gonna do the same. Those two officers have a long road ahead of them due to thier actions. And they should

  • Treez

    @ Sydney – Ok agreed, but after we bring attntion to the situation, we still have not solved the root problem of the lack of respect for authority in the community and that is a much more serious problem than a couple of people getting beat on by the cops.

  • Treez

    @ Med school

    see some of the posts above between myself and Alpha Male we were trying to brain storm about reaching this lost generation.

  • NIK

    This may sound stupid but what if…… Instead of these officers handling this situation like they did, stood there and gave the kid a hug? (I know I know) maybe not THAT but you know what I mean? The kid wasn’t armed, what harm could he have possibly done? Ran? so what??? We need to change the aproach. Where and when? I don’t know, but someone has to start somewhere and why not it be the police

  • NIK

    OH SHOOSH TREEZ! LOL LOL

    Me and Syd are doing just that!!

  • Treez

    @ Nik

    “but what if he wasn’t doing anything wrong?”

    Nik come on!!!! You and I both know that boy said some ish to them…lets save the outrage for real police misconduct…We have to stop blaming our problems on the police, they are always going to be like that, but what we can do ourselves is teach children to respect those with authority.

  • Treez

    @ Nik – I know we were all doing it…didn’t mean to leave u out lol

  • Treez

    @ Sydney

    I agree with u 100% on that one

  • The Truth

    This is precisely why people have ZERO respect for cops. They’re all the same, black, white, or whatever. A bunch of people who need to be in control. I don’t care what leads up to an arrest, anytime you see the cops catch someone and then start beating them with batons and punching and kicking, the police are out of line. Once you take a suspect down, cuff them, and be done with it. There is never any justification in two, three, four, five cops kicking, punching, beating a suspect that they take down. Just ridiculous. We really need a new system of protection in this country. Most people want nothing to do with the police. PERIOD!!!

  • Med School

    Sometimes when I’m driving and I see a young child doing something thats not right, I stop and I talk to them like they are my family, and they do respect that, and they’ll be like yeah your right…For example I saw these kids who took this boy cell phone it was like 3 against 1 and I saw the boy crying in distress, so I stopped, I was kinda scared, but I was like whats going on here, and the boy told me what happened I talked to the other young boys who took the phone very calm and peaceful, and fortunately they there was no drama and gave the boy the phone back..so maybe when we see wrong we can just talk to them and see whats the problem, instead of criminalizing all of them before hand…so yes i agree with you NIK, to a certain point!!! But i don’t think your going to get a officer who’s trying to arrest someone to give someone a hug, they are trying to look out for their own safety also!!

  • Rrrrroe Ski Love-

    @Med School You are right on point. When I was younger other adults in my neighborhood spoke to me when I did wrong. I do the same thing when I see kidds doing wrong. We must help our own, because in reality no one else is going to do it.

  • Lourdes

    Cops beating up a 14 year old child??? WTF! Cops are criminals themselves, they think that because they carry a badge they can intimidate and abuse you however they want to….these days, you can’t trust cops…keep eating donuts because that is the only thing you’re good at….I hate them!!!

  • *Treasure*

    Police brutality is in every state and every city. Police officers who gravitate towards abuse are gratified in occurrences such as this. It gives them a thrill or a rush so to speak. After all of the chaos and blood splatter, the police stand around, recount events, and high five one another with a joyful glee how they used excessive force to subdue someone. They like to use controlling methods as well as brute force. This line of work is befitting to their despicable character.

    It is sad that more officers are not joining the force to protect and serve the public. A lot of them are enjoying the perks of being able to hold and control a pistol while intimidating someone, threatening them, and belittling them. Their employment is an outlet to release their anger. Their suspects are just targets for their loathing that consumes their entire being.
