Florida Man Arrested For Beating Handicapped Roommates With “Stupid Stick”

A twisted Florida man beat his two handicapped roommates with a walking stick he dubbed the “stupid stick,” police said.

Winter Haven police arrested Phillip Dale Simons Tuesday night after one of his victims reported the routine cruelty, the department said in a statement.

He faces a slew of abuse and weapons charges for attacking the disabled 15-year-old boy and disabled adult woman, police said.

The “stupid stick” beatings were just part of Simons’ reign of terror inside his Winter Haven house, police said. The 52-year-old allegedly waved guns in his victims’ faces, groped them and threatened to kill them, too.

The woman came forward about the torture after Simons stuck a handgun in her mouth on Saturday and threatened to kill her in front of the 15-year-old boy and another minor who lives in the house.

Police did not detail the woman’s disability but described the teen as severely disabled and non-verbal.

The woman said he Simons routinely beat both her and the 15-year-old before he left for work in the morning. He’d grab his walking stick, which he called the “stupid stick,” and whacked them on the arms, legs, torso and head, she said. Other times, he’d use his bare hands to batter the two, she said.

They should lock this azzhole in a cell with the biggest, most violent, mentally disabled person in the bing and let whatever happens, happen.
