This is taking the term “home alone” to the extreme:
A woman accused of leaving eight children with little food and no money while she traveled to Africa to marry a man she met on the Internet has been arrested. Shanell Monique Mosley, 33, was met by authorities as she got off an Air France jet Monday at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, and charged with child endangerment and child abandonment for leaving the children in squalid conditions
When she left for Nigeria on December 31, Mosley told her 15 year-old daughter she would return in a month. Mosley’s children are ages 1, 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16, Jordan said. The other two children found in the home were 3 and 4 year-olds the family cared for on behalf of a single father who worked, Jordan said.
The 9 year-old son told authorities he and the baby ate a still-frozen pizza for breakfast the morning they were discovered home alone. There were no diapers, baby food or formula for the infant, no sheets on beds and fruit was rotting in a basket.
No words for this woman, really. How can you leave eight kids behind to fly across the globe to hook up wih some jumpoff you met on the internet in Africa. This ish is beyond crazy. Now this is a dumb broad right here.

The trial should be interesting. She ought to be glad she made it back alive. You hear quite often how people meet over the internet, then meet in person and sometimes a tragedy occurs.

Ok this is my thing. Parents usually only leave their children home alone when they need to work and that child is at an age when they can be left alone for a couple of hours. They make sure food is in the fridge and that the house is warm etc.They don’t disappear for months,leaving their kids home alone to fend for themselves. That is just not right and it is ridicuolous.She did not care about those kids. She just wanted to get some but that’s how she ended up in this mess in the first place. How many kids did she have? Actually she does have 8 kids. her 2 oldest were boys who were already in the juvenile system, they have been running stories for the past month on her here. There were just 6 of her kids in her custody at the time she left. She isnt going to get out of jail for a long time, they set her bond at 275,000 and her family couldnt even afford the money for the bus trip here to take car of the kids…
I’m really sad right now, those children have a lot of healing to do.

Girl, you should see the number of ‘white’ people who claim to be Americans or British but they’re ’stuck’ in Nigeria or Ghana because their father left them a lot of wealth or their oil company is not going to pay this this week, and they have no money to get back to the States, blah blah blah.
The Nigerians and Ghanians will use professional model photos (that could conceiveable be amateur) from places like Focus International Hawaii. They will use the name of God to entice people into believing their stories of being trapped in hospitals or trapped in homes with abusive uncles or trapped in hotels and ‘here’s the yahoo email address of the hotel manager who’s threatening my life’ or they’ll claim that some people are going to jump them in the internet cafe if you, kind stranger, don’t Western Union.
They send ‘gifts’ paid for by stolen credit cards, to stupid women, who accept the gifts; and then same women accept the strange packages that come via FedEx and DHL with their honey bunnies instructions to forward the packages to a different address. A lot of people are caught up in the mail fraud that the Nigerians and Ghanians are working — in the name of love.
And yes, some people are enticed to travel to African.
What I really hope is that — while they’re jailing this chick — that they’re REALLY investgating who gave this woman international tickets. This poor woman could be the key to cracking one of those internet cafe gangs preying upon Americans and British. More needs to be reported on this beyond a desperate woman doing stupid *****.
What were the Nigerians going to do to her, or ask of her once she got to Nigeria? since the millionaire who told her she needed to leave her own kids behind obvious doesn’t exist… but the scammers do.

I think this girl needs a good lawyer, but of course she won’t get on because she doesn’t have the money. She is definately not mother of the year, but her bond is excessive and I’m sure the charge will be too. Are they bringing charges against her sister who was supposed to come stay with the kids? If she couldn’t afford to come she should have told her sister that or told authorities so they could have gotten the children right away. There is more to this story than what Bossip posted.

probably out getting other little girls and ‘women with the minds of little girls’ pregnant. everybody needs to be punished on this one. she got all them kids all by herself, where are the fathers? why are they not taking care of business? that woman should not have had to depend on some internet scammers halfway around the globe in Africa to support those babies.

Sorry but I don’t think her bail is extravagant at all. Personally they should lock her up UNDER the jail & or bury her alive like in the Cask of Amontillado (READ A BOOK PEOPLE). I understand that this may seem desperate to some but NO ONE who loves there children would EVER leave them in such a situation. WHAT if there had been a fire, or someone had broken into the house, or worse yet ANOTHER person who did not have the children’s best interest at heart, say A CHILD MOLESTER had realised that these children were come without a parent of guardian & taken advantage of the situation? People we have GOT to do better in protecting & teaching our children!!! We have GOT TO!! Oh & I am sure that are are least 4 different fathers in this situation & I believe that they should suffer the same fate. Just because you DON’T live in the same house as your children does NOT give you an excuse to NOT know what is going on in their lives!!! I am so disgusted by this. UNDER THE JAIL TO ROT..NEXT!!!

I don’t think she planned on coming back! Why would there be no sheets or nothing on the bed? No food or formula in the house but you claim you coming back in a month? I think this lady went over there to marry a guy and start a new life OVER THERE. Where’s her new hubby, he should have been standing right there with her when she got off the plane? Something probably didn’t work out and she came home. So when her marriage didn’t go as planned, she brought herself back home and 5-0 was waiting for her at the airport. There’s more to this story!
