8 All-Black High Schools With 100% College Acceptance Rates
Don’t you need a little positivity and uplifting in your life? Just look at these Black schools that are doing it right and sending all of their students to college. Forget all the foolery, let’s look at the blessings.
Verbum Dei – This All-boys school has 100% college acceptance and has been a beacon for the community for decades. They’ve accepted kids who are generally behind when they start.
Jalen Rose Leadership Academy – Jalen’s school has all of its kids either going to college, vocational schools or the military. And it’s their first graduating class.
Urban Prep Academy – For four consecutive years, this school has had all of its students accepted to four-year academies. In 2014, 167 students graduated while being accepted to schools.
Mastery Charter – This charter is expanding in the Northeast and has a 95% college acceptance rate.
Providence St. Mel – This Chicago school has had a 100% college acceptance rate for three decades. There was even a movie made about it.
Imhotep – This school has its roots in Africa, with traditional ceremonies throughout its 15 years. It also boasts a 100% graduation rate.
Thurgood Marshall Charter – This D.C. charter has had five straight years of 100% college acceptance.
Fredrick Douglas Senior High School – They’ve also boasted a great, complete 100% graduation rate.
