We’re a little surprised to learn that Bey doesn’t hit the bed by nine before her shows. She likes to get it in till the wee hours with Hov. Damn Bey, you must be poppin’ some serious vitamins to be able to party all night and perform the next day.
Miss goody-two-shoes Beyonce Knowles seems to be morphing into her wild and wicked stage persona, Sasha Fierce. On Sunday we expected the singing sensation to be tucked up in bed nice and early, in preparation for her first night at London’s O2 Arena yesterday.
Instead, she was out on the lash with hubby Jay-Z, little sister Solange and – of course – us 3am Girls, on what turned into an all-night booze bender.
We bumped into Beyonce at trendy Bungalow 8 and heard her gearing up to party hard with Jay and Solange.
Sauntering down the stairs of the exclusive members’ club at 1.30am, 27-year-old Beyonce and Solange were chatting about where to go next. Beyonce, who looked stunning in skinny jeans and a white jacket, told us: “We’re going to that club Movi*da later that we went to with Chris and Gwyneth, you want to come?” Well, she didn’t need to ask twice!
After more cocktails at Bungalow 8, Jay-Z – wearing his Glastonbury 2008 T-shirt – put an arm around his missus and declared it was time to move on.
So we all headed to Movi*da, unaware that we were about to gatecrash an end-of-season fooballers’ bash.
The lads were all sidelined when Jay-Z and Beyonce sashayed in. They were escorted to the top VIP table where Jay ordered magnums of Belverdere vodka. When the DJ played their hit Crazy In Love, Bey began singing and Jay rapped his parts – while we and Solange shimmied our hips.
Then at 3.30am it was off to 50 Casino on St James St where “Jigga” pulled out his bulging wallet and chucked thousands on the tables as Beyonce whispered in his ear.
At 5am Beyonce reluctantly decided to call it a night – only to find her exit blocked by a crime scene.
She had to be escorted past the police tape to reach her car. Waving us goodbye, she trilled: “See you girls tomorrow, I had a great night.”
All that partying and performing every night is gonna catch up to her. Slow down Bey.
