Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams is heading the B’Way again. she’s set to star in Chicago. Pop the hood for more

Michelle Williams is to make her West End stage debut starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago.

The US singer – best known for being in Destiny’s Child – will appear at London’s Cambridge Theatre from July 13 until August 22, those behind the show have said.

Grammy award-winner Michelle found fame alongside Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland in Destiny’s Child.

Following the release of her own album in 2002, she went on to make her stage debut in the title role in Broadway musical Aida.

The star went on to appear in another musical, The Color Purple, in Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Why is it that Bey is the only member of Destiny’s Child with a music career. Kelly’s hosting The Fashion Show on Bravo and now Michelle’s staring in Chicago.

I think Michelle’s trying to conquer the Broadway path before Beyonce does.

    I don’t blame her.

Congrats on Broadway, and good luck! It’s about the ONLY niche left that Mrs. ‘Ay Mon! Gotta go to work!’ hasn’t infringed on… Do you Michelle…

She looks awesome! Looks like staying clear of the Knowles family is doing her good.

This play will be in LONDON…the WEST END is London’s version of Broadway….

this is a VERY good look for Michelle…not many US stage actors get to do WEST END

I ain’t mad at her. As long as Michelle is working and growing as a performer then I support her. I think her beautiful voice and lady-like manner is needed in the game. And maybe, just maybe she will find some compelling songs for her next album.–At least she isn’t following the pattern of all those no talent girls who are trying to date their way to the top–Cassie and Christina Milean.–support real black talent, if she comes to your city, go see her show.

Let them make their $$$…Where’s all those dudes from IMX or that group Omarion was in? At least they’re working…Get your money, and don’t end up on, “When the Checks Stop Coming In”…

  • jazzyphile

She is the business if you think about it as she’s demonstrating real talent as you can’t hide on stage, you got to bring it every night–ask Fantasaia!

    I think she’s cute, too.
