SMH: Forget Octomom, Desmond “Drop a Seed” Hatchet is 29 Years Old With 21 Kids

This fertile dude pictured up top has eleven baby mothers and twenty one children. His name is Desmond and he is twenty nine:
As if Octomom wasn’t bad enough, a Tennessee man, 29 year old Desmond Hatchett has now fathered at least 21 children he can’t support. Hatchett was in child support court again last week. His name appeared on the dockett 11 times in one day, representing 15 of his children.
Hatchett says he wasn’t out to set a record. He says he never intended to have this many children, “It just happened.” He fathered the children by at least 11 different women and he claims all of the mothers knew about his large family. The children range in age from newborn to 11 years old.
The question Knox County officials now face is how to support all these children. Hatchett works a minimum wage job and by law the state can only take 50% of his paycheck for child support. By the time that money is split 21 ways, some of the mothers get less than $2 per month. That leaves the taxpayers footing a large portion of the bill for these children.
Even though Hatchett can’t support the children he has, there is nothing the state can do to prevent him from having more. Hatchett reports that he had 4 children in one year, twice. He says he’s done having children now, but only time will tell. He does say that he’s a good father and knows the names, ages, and birthdates of all of his children.
All of the blame can’t be placed on Hatchett in this case. One has to wonder about the women who chose to have his children. In the end, the children and the taxpayers of Tennessee will pay for their choices for years to come.
This is just foul. Situations like these make the concept of government regulated sterilization sound like a wonderful plan.

Well that’s if you *****ume that he had his own home and own phone and women would be there when these calls were happening. However, I am *****uming that a man that can’t even pay his own child support likely isn’t a home owner or even apartment renter. How do you start out by completely tearing down the mothers but commending the father? Do you not give the mothers credit for raising their children on what they have absent any *****tance from the father? What does he get credit for? The problem is not even having the children-its needing the county to take care of them.Neither the male or the females planned any of these children so now the state will have to step in and provide their basic needs.Providing we do the math,with 11 women and 21 children,we can say at least 10 of the women had 2 children,so if he didn’t take care of the first one with each,why would they have another set?

Well, I can’t say all these women knew about the other kids and I’m speaking from personal experience. I would have never gotten with a man that was honest enough to tell me he had other children. The way I see it is, if they aren’t mine, I have no love for them. So based on who all of this came about it might have been like that for him in a way. The kids that your husband neglected to tell you about deserve the same attention, love, respect and financial support as the children that the two of you share together. I agree SMDH does say some repulsive things, but like I mentioned earlier, these types of stories allows the stereotypes to continue. I never narrowed it down to just young black girls, but this IS what I want to do..I was doing nursing, but i just changed my major to education. I was one of them, and once I realized there are things I can do as a lifelong career, i hopped on board. The actions that I am speaking of are:
1) They have low-self esteem. They look for approval in men and because they didnt have that approval from their father any man can tell them something and they will take it as truth.
2) They are promiscous. They equate sex with love because having sex with a man feels like it brings them closer (bond) and they believe that sex will get a man to like them more.
3) Have no desire for commitment. Because their father abandoned them, they dont have examples of what it is to be with one person only. They jump from one man to the next and in the process, they lose themselves and their identity.
These are just a few things that I have noticed within my few circle of female friends. We talk about it all the time and when we do, I can see and feel the pain that they have. Though my situation is different, I can understand where they are coming from.
Fathers have a great effect on their daughters. They show them how a woman is supposed to be treated. They keep them abreast on how men are and to try and steer them in the OTHER direction of certain guys. They are protectors. My brother has 2 daughters and if he isnt the most protective person I know…..I dont know who is. Gm2 is only two and he wouldnt even let her walk in the musuem…and they were right behind her! lol
Gm2 is what we call her cuz her first name starts with a G and her middle and last start with an M. Cute!
But I’m sure there are other effects that play out later down the road. These are just what I see in my circle. They arent bad people at all, just a little misguided and under appreciated. Why is 98.9999999929299999% of the blame placed on this guy? When will our society recognize that women are the gatekeepers of LIFE. This guy [or any man for that matter] can attempt to plant his drops of life in a woman, but it is her choice to either open the gate or keep it locked.
Acts of irresponsibility, such as this, would come to a screeching halt, or decrease sharply once society stops looking at woman as “damsels in distress”, and starts holding them equally accountable.
Programs for single mothers shouldn’t go away, but these programs should be severely scrutinized; “designed to discourage” woman from allowing situations like this to happen. As it stands, “baby mamas” benefits appear lucrative to many. However, in reality it really isn’t. This is very disconcerting.
At this rate, Medicare and social security will be bankrupt in 25 years.
The real issue is the children, they are the real victums in all of this. Their is no way a person can be an effective parent to 29 children. Each will need more attention that he and the mothers will be able to give.
The blame I believe goes to the women who had his children, ladies, we can’t just lay down with every smother talker or good looking guy that comes accross our path. Having a relationship mean getting to know the person and in know him you should and would have found out that he had several children.
