Speaking to about 100 constituents at a Greenbelt hotel, Johnson (D) offered nothing but praise for Clinton’s primary rival, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), saying it was “important to open the doors of opportunity” to a black candidate with a serious shot at the presidency. But Johnson urged support of Clinton in Maryland’s Feb. 12 primary, saying she is the most electable Democrat in the general election and a proven leader on issues including national security and education.

Jack Johnson, meanwhile, has also been trying to tighten bonds with Gov. Martin O’Malley (D), who announced his support for Clinton about 10 months ago.
On Friday, Johnson told Prince George’s delegates that he has reached an agreement with a new hospital management company to take over the county’s ailing hospital system, said delegation Chairwoman Barbara A. Frush (D). Johnson provided no details of the plan, she said, but it will require O’Malley’s approval as well as hundreds of millions in state funding.
Johnson said yesterday that his decision to endorse Clinton was not influenced by O’Malley.

I live in PG but I don’t trust old Jack Johnson and the county council any further then I can throw them, last year some of them endorsed the republican old Mike Steele because he was black. But the belief that some people are endorsing Hillary is because of their personal agendas is a two-way street in which some people are endorsing Obama for their own personal agendas. And some people genuinely like Hillary better then Obama and vise versa.
Typical of someone like him to make such remarks. Notice, he states that America is not ready for a black president as if America’s blessing is a prerequisite for progress. That is an outdated thought process.
I think this lends a view of his troubled psyche. In his occupation, he plays the role of the rap trouble-maker willing to promote chaos for personal gain because he has no faith in the civil gentleman leading the day. He sees himself as not worthy because America has yet to bestow upon him that status. Thus, the rise of the villain.
It doesn’t matter that he was rewarded financially for taking this route. His success derives from playing to the like-minded ignorant segment who simply had disposable income. To me, it is pseudo success, as he had also suffered a tremendous, but less-noticeable failure of character in exchange for ‘fame’.
Another poster suggested that we vote with our brains rather than with our hearts. I don’t blame the poster, because that is a common notion. However, wasn’t that the basis of European conquest – that many of the ethnic groups already on the planet before European expansion engaged the intuitive (heart) rather than totally relying on “reason” and what is “rational” (brain)?
Manufactured logic doesn’t always mean valid logic for everyone. There are many flaws and implications with this *****umption of superior conceptualization as there are flaws with 50’s logic.
Dare to change America, rather than waiting on America to change you. Dare to be strong wherever you place your feet. Dare to be great Americans. Dare to believe in yourselves.

The second biggest news is that Edwards is still in play, even after bowing out.
The big question tonight is: could Hillary do what Obama has done? could she win the states he has won? I, with many other people, believe that answer is, ‘No’. Obama gets people talking and fired up, Obama gets people interested. Hillary gets people angry. Republicans may or may not vote for Obama in the general election…….. but they’re definitely not going to come out in order to vote for Hillary. These primaries and caucuses are showing something that the Hillary people don’t want to acknowledge and don’t want others to study.
Maybe, as a writer put it tonight, part of Hillary’s strategy against Obama really was hoping people’s inner racist and inner fear of a black man would save the day. Her own campaign person went to the news and explained how they were depending upon Latino distrust of Blacks to carry the day for Hillary in California and elsewhere. They didn’t mention it to combat it or say it didn’t exist. They mentioned it as if it were an unavoidable fact of life which would benefit their candidate, Hillary. This is the same campaign which has taken pains to play the race card against Obama, and then pretend it was Obama playing his race all along. This is the same campaign which was counting on exploiting white women’s hatred and fear of men, and white women expecting ‘it’s our time now’. Hillary’s campaign has always been less about the issues and more about ‘feelings’ and ‘history’ and ‘fear’ — yet she and her camp have the ***** to call Obama the empty suit running on fairy tales?
How could anyone vote for the Clintons? They are not anyone’s friend, and they sure as hell are not blacks’ friend. They will ***** us over, just as they ultimately did (when you get past the dot com bubble to find out what was really happening in the 90s) when they were co-presidents. That amendment limiting terms to two exists for a reason. They had their chance. They obviously blew up. Time for new blood. No more Clintons.
