Timbaland Mad at Jay Over “Autotune Is Dead” Record?

Apparently Timbaland doesn’t appreciate Jay trying to kill his faux voice steez. Illseed caught a little word about the “drama” that’s unfolding concerning Jigga’s new track:
Jay-Z is supposedly giving the technology (autotune) its official eulogy with the song “Autotune is Dead.” Also, Kanye is supposedly finished with it and will rap again on the next one. I wonder what T-Pain has to say about this. From what I understand or have been told, the person who had the most problem and did the majority of the hating on the Autotune was Timbaland, who had reportedly been cutting records with Jay for a minute. Here’s the kicker that pissed Tim off… all his records with Jay had been autotuned to some extent or another. Apparently, the use of the tool was a bit too noticeable. I heard the song were all tracked in Los Angeles and then mixed in Hawaii, which makes sense. These recordings were supposedly done during Justin Timberlake and Leona Lewis sessions and this is why both Ye and Timb were both there. It looks like the Timbaland songs might be scrapped or redone. Timbaland has had serious crossover success, but his most recent work with the Pussycat Dolls and rocker Chris Cornell haven’t fared as well so this Jay-Z stuff is big for him.
Somebody should have killed that sh*t a long time ago.

I don’t have a problem with autotune when used SPARINGLY. It’s just that most people who make popular music d*ck ride a trend until the motherf*ckin’ wheels fall off, and make the rest of the world sick of it.

The latest stuff lil Wayne has put out I can barely understand what he’s saying because the autotune is so heavy. Rappers never needed that ***** and only singers who can’t stay in pitch need it. It makes very little different with people who can actually sing.

AUTOTUNE = TONE DEAF. A real musician (which most of todays R&B artists “ARE NOT”), doesn’t need autotune because they can not only hold a note but they realize what pitch is. Most of you grew up hearing “zingers” not singers.
Autotune is getting wack and its run its course.. In the track Birthday Sex, its used sparingly because the b*****line is tight… But its time to give that bs up!!!

And even though I listen to Jay-Z, I blame us for letting him think he can do more than what he should. Granted he is a trend setter and Role model (despite him saying he’s not one), but something aint dead just cuz he said so.
