Good catch!!! But this is still not a knock against Bossip Readers. I think the problem has more to do with how it was written and subsequently how it reads.

The bold in this story looks like Bossip inserted the information on his name. Not once does the plain text say Aaron Carter. The whole post never *****erts that Bossip knows this isn’t his real name.

If anything if seems to agree with Rush and Malloy or add the false name as it’s own fact. Bossip is always trying to poke Jabs a Jay Z so it reads as if their dissing his name being the same as the Jr Backstreet boy ( Aaron) and not highlighting the fact it is a completely incorrect name.

Fixes:

-Title it Sean Carter or S. Carter.

-Highlight the caption verses the report an state its source.

-End with a definitive punch line that clearly delivers the intent and identifies the source.

In other words give us a clear indication that you are not along for the ride.

I ask why didn’t they clearly diss the media source as they do with media take (fake) out.

This is a simple matter of not clearly stating ones ideas or intent. Bossip makes too many mistakes to be this vague. Someone is obviously still hoping for a job with the NY times or they would of clearly stated the mistake.

We are used to mistakes from Bossip and despite the intent one was still made here. Good catch but hardly a knock on the readers intelligence levels.
