Personally, I dont wear fur. I did a persuasive report in college on this topic and really went into detail about how these animals suffer before they are killed for their fur and skin. Its’ actually sad. And for a person who didnt have this much sympathy for animals (sorry to say), had more of it after I did this report. Needless to say, I got a A on it. And changed a few minds.

I can feel her frustration though because those PETA people are like the freakin’ military! They are some goons for real! LOL

But she played herself though by making those retarded comments. If I were her, I’d have quietly exited the place…..got a group of PETA people together…..paid them to do a little “damage”……gave them a few cans of red paint…..and let them do what they will.

Why are the horses killed after they break a leg? This program will teach young men and women everywhere about Hip Hop as well as Music Production. Created in Honor of his late mother, Loop Dreams will be a branch of the Kanye West Foundation, which was recently renamed the Dr. Donda West Foundation, in honor of his late mother who died of complications of surgery in late 2007.

The West foundation which is the umbrella of “Loop Dreams” main goal is to help decrease the high drop out rates in the public school systems. W

hen speaking about the new program Kanye talked about how much his mothers well rounded education and appreciation for culture influenced him.

“Since my mom died I’m about living to cultivate myself by travelling the world. My mom was an educator so she brought that kind of knowledge and instilled it in me. Now I’m keeping her dream alive through the foundation to take it to the next level.”

This program also works as a way to help reinforce the positive aspect that hip hop has in the community. Kanye has been very adamant about the perception that hip hop promotes violence.

“Hip-hop is a reflection of what’s going on. It’s a form of entertainment and it’s not steering people any differently than a movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. As a brand, I’m not defined by hip-hop. It’s just a tool that I choose to use.”

Nope sorry don’t know much about horses and their broekn limbs etc. Not my field of choice obviously…maybe i’ll look it up but what I did see was the do*****entary done on race horses…Maybe you should check that out. On top of that their are hospitals for horses out there and there are horses that have had shattered limbs etc. fixed….I get it depends on the cir*****stance and how much an owner is willing to spend. Other than that PETA still has done nothing for the horses that get sent to slaughter houses because they lose a race…That’s pretty much why you only see the winner and runner up at the KEntucky Derby the following year. Thanks for the insight though

That is the same clip that I used when I did my presentation in college. Gruesome it is. And there are many, many more like it. For example, it takes about 100-200 chinchillas to make a coat (not knee length)..imagine how many for a longer coat??? And these animals experience mental and emotional stress when they are caged up….watching the previous animal getting killed.

Imagine how you would feel, stuck in a cage….watching other humans getting slaughtered…knowing its your turn soon…..you would be a *****ing nervous wreck.

Some animals would try and eat themselves before death, and even eating their young. Its crazy.

Though I am not all gung-ho about animals and definitely put them underneath humans….they still have feelings and thoughts like the rest of us (though not as advanced).

It’s just sad to see animals go through this all for the sake of some uppity celeb who doesnt even give a ***** about anything but themselves.

I cant say who should wear what, but personally, I wouldnt wear fur. Shiid, faux fur is good enough for me!

Good Point.

1) I dont eat pork. I havent in the last 2 years. I just changed it because pork is something that we really arent supposed to be eating. Though it was good! I’ve had my time…..now that part of me is done.

2) I dont eat THAT MUCH red meat (beef). If you smell it, it smells disgusting! Even after being cooked. Hamburger (beef) is rarely eaten at my house.

3) I dont (and never did) own a leather jacket (though they are stylish)….and shoes? Hmmmm…..lemme think. Does patent-leather count? lol
I mean….I’m not into specifics of what I wear like that. But honestly, from my recollection…..I’ve never owned either (in leather).

I eat only chicken (baked; fried on occasions), fish and salmon….believe it or not. I have a few uncles in my family who are tru muslims and their ways have started to graze upon me slowly.

However, I can see that this topic will be battled out to the end of what we are eating now as opposed to someone killing for physical beauty.

I understand that this is a controversial topic, but my take on killing animals for fur verses killing animals for food: The main subject is killing; therefore, one can’t judge another and say it’s ok to kill for food, but not ok to kill to stay warm or wear for fashion….Im just say’n. I understand why you posted that video, but I wish you hadn’t. I’m going to be sick. That was gruesome beyond belief. That animal was alive during the entire process. Just horrific.

I’m not a vegetarian or a vegan, but I understand PETA’s objectives — I do disagree with some of the inappropriate tactics used by organization members, such as throwing objects on people wearing fur coats, etc. That crosses the line and obscures the group’s intentions, I believe. It also bothered me when there were animal activists who were rallying to save the lives of pets in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina while men, women, and children were going without food, water, and shelter for days. I think some abandoned animals were given shelter before children.

Yes, Glok, I agree with Rep. Rangel. I read the Daily News article, and I saw that Gov. Peterson also expressed his concern. Mayor Bloomberg expressed his displeasure with Rangel’s remarks when he should be voicing outrage over the shooting of a black officer — and it isn’t the first time this has happened, and, most likely, it won’t be the last.

I think Rep. Rangel’s remarks hit home because he spoke truthfully.

I personally do not wear fur but if an animal dies naturally or dies unnaturally (not by man’s hands) I don’t see the problem with wearing the fur. Native Americans did it – what they killed – they ate and used the skin for clothing. Animals are on this earth for natural habitat and for food.

Yes, Rangel and Peterson are both politicians, but I’m glad something was said publicly. Mayor Bloomberg and others are trying to paint the shooting as purely an accident when it’s strongly indicated that race was a factor, as it has been in other shootings of black officers by their white colleagues.

As with everything the…. police….say we shouldn’t be quick to believe it. Secondly, why didn’t the shooting officer identify himself? Just based on the descripion of the account it appears that this was a “shoot first ask questions later” type of scenario.

This also happened in Philadelphia, PA with very little relative coverage.

I saw a video today on HuffPo of a black paramedic who was accosted by a white officer in Oklahoma after his ambulance was pulled over for not having its siren on — the ambulance was carrying a woman to the hospital, and one of her relatives filmed the officer attempting to arrest the paramedic, and, at one point, he put a front chokehold on him. It was infuriating to watch.

I read that NY Times story this weekend — it was excellent. I hadn’t heard of some of those cases, and there were photos of the officers online. Yes, there’s a long history of tragic deaths and injuries of black and Hispanic officers, and no legal retribution.

Hey, I’ve been sucked into it just like everybody else. I’ve even made negative comments about celebrities on a couple occasions in the past. However, it’s time to move on. This is too much. Every action has a reaction and I’m not proud to be a part of this site anymore, just as a reader and discussion/comment parti*****nt.

You know, after realizing the negativity Perez Hilton put out there I stopped using the site for Gossip information and distraction. After boycotting Perez I kept going to Bossip because although the content on this blog can sometimes be out of touch, it’s interesting to see more realistic conversation going on in these forums. That and of course I still needed a gossip distraction from daily life.

However, I have just had enough. It’s time to move on. Bossip knows full well that Pink made that comment about his skin to make a bold statement about wearing fur. Bossip writers aren’t stupid, they know that, and to still go ahead and make a vindictive, p*****ing comment disguised as a shallow joke in response is too much.

It’s not just about this. It’s about this comment, past comments and I’m sure more negative comments to come. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this with Bossip. Bossip knocks nice people down all the time, [I'm not saying Pink is nice, I don't know her] including people that don’t like to be in the headlines, people who are sticking up for a cause and even the celebrities who people may think “deserve” it.

I have had enough of these writers, these comments and this negativity put out into the atmosphere. Now, I know there’ll be many readers to replace me but at some point, this Gossip fad is going to run out of steam and the credibility of this site is going to die out really fast when the smoke settles. Either that or Bossip will be like that friend you used to party with when you were younger who just never moved on and now parties with the generation younger than you.

When are you going to get it Bossip? The world is changing, people are getting sick of this negative propaganda.

About Obama

While I’m kinda with Purple about not counting anything out, I strongly suspect that what we know about Obama’s parentage and birth is the truth. I believe the reason he doesn’t look more like his father is because his mother side has strong genes. During the campaign, they showed a picture of him at a park with his maternal grandparents and I kid you not, he looks EXACTLY like his grandfather. Only difference is that his father is entirely white.

(1) Yes, If she has a big a$$ or tig ol’ bitties and a beautiful face…
