what ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? it’s not the police’s job to hand out punishment, that’s for the courts. especially when cops are known to make mistakes and raid the wrong house, pull over innocent people who are “consistent with the description” of a suspect, or run up on incidents where they can’t tell the victim from the perpetrator they shouldn’t be handing out “justice” on site… It’s one thing to be resisting arrest but the dude was unconscious!

So are you saying just because the cops THINK you did something wrong they’re allowed to assault you? So what one punch for every block of the chase? They get to pistol whip you if you damaged property? 2 kicks for ever cruiser hit? unless you’re physically fighting with the cop there’s no reason for them to ever come to blows… it’s not their place.

Denne, you might need to read the copy again. It states that he took police on a ‘roadway chase.’ There was no doubt he was guilty.

My best friend is a cop and I have a brother who was a policeman. It’s convenient to sit in front of your computer and judge the actions of the officers but you have no idea how frustrated you would be having to deal with these knuckleheads day in and day out, year after year. You know what – when a cop flashes his lights at me when I’m driving, I pull over immediately and my license and registration are in my hands before he gets to my window. That’s how it should be done. And that’s how you avoid ‘roadway chases.’ Sorry, I don’t co-sign on bullshit. Instead, I aim to promote the improvement of my race. Evolve.

the guy obviously did the wrong thing by running from the cops but for them to beat him afterwards is ridiculous. u see the guy fly outta the car and just lay there so clearly he wasnt conscious. the cops deserved to be fired for that. cops dont seem to care and have serious issues

It’s only a subject of conversation because the guy was black and not white. While I don’t think it was necessary to beat him after he was unconcious, I also don’t think it is something terrifically horrible. You look at the picture of this guy after the fact and say they beat the black off of him, but how much of the damage was done to his face and body by his own stupidity. If he had killed your mother or father or child with his stupidity would you then think he got what he deserved or ask to stand in line to beat him yourself. Wrong is wrong and not dependent upon color. It was wrong for the cops to beat him, but it was also wrong for this guy to disregard all of the lives of the people who were on the highway that day. Whatever happened to believing that people who are “good” and abide by laws don’t have the need to take police officers on high-speed chases.

If I did the same thing as an average citizen, I would go to jail (scenerio being I would be revenging some incident where the other person was obviously wrong). Granted, SOME police officers try to do the right thing and don’t go above the law, but these officers were apparently so enraged at an unconcious man that their anger management skills went into hibernation. I mean, it is not like the guy got up and threatened them all…
It would be interesting to see what the officers were thinking – beating up on an unconscious person.

From other information regarding the BPD, it is obvious that the powers that be are corrupt as the criminal.

The whole situation is deja vu and alas, nothing new. The really sad part is, this guy will probably sue for millions and get it… whether he was right or wrong.

They probably shouldn’t have beat thim like that but he did try to cream one of those da** cops. True enough in their proffession they should not do that and are trained not to use excessive force and if a mofo is unconscious then da**it he doesn’t need to be hit. He!!, he’s already down and out. I’m a black woman and I’m not on the cops side but I could honestly see how/why that happened. I mean the da** fool could have killed innocent bystanders and actually tried to take out a cop. Just imagine if that was a mom, sister or brother of yours. Wouldn’t you have wanted his a**beat too??? Again, not saying it was the most ethical thing to do but hey, shyt happens! They were in the heat of the moment and snapped. I hate that I’m kind of even defending these cops because more times than not they are dead wrong but this situation I’m kind of just like “Oh well.”

The first cop to get to him was actually the big black football looking dude who hit him with his stick. Rather than cuff him and get him in the car(which is his job)he initiated the beating. What an idiot. It’s incidents like this that occur unpunished every day that lead to many cops killing the innocent people like Sean Bell and Dialo and even the recent black cop who was killed by fellow officer. They don’t think before reacting becasue they don’t have to deal with the consequences of their actions anyway. And for anyone who says he deserved it then I’m assuming you live your life in Jesus’ footsteps? So you have never done anything wrong whatsoever? Regardless of what scale of wrong he did it’s not up to you or the cops to decide he deserved it. That’s why we have a judicial system. White, black, yellow, green…would we all have the same opinions if the color of the people involved were different? It’s about human rights and morality. Unfortunately all we see is black and white before anything else and we base our bias opinions on that. What was done to this man was wrong regardless of what he did, what color he is and what color the officers were.

They should of picked up that van and dropped it right on his nappy head,period end of story.
