I’m far from an idiot and while your sarcasm is cute the fact remains that far too many hate crimes seem to occur in Texas and I reiterate that I have no desire to live somewhere like that. Put the hate crimes aside, I’ve read enough about the blatant racism in general and the treatment from the police and there have been many accounts in the past few months to back that up.

Not to say that hate crimes don’t happen everywhere, but I can at least say that up here in NYC we at least have a few months between each “racial incident” so you can keep Texas.

I have been following this story too. The killers told friends that they started bumping him with the car bumper and then ran him over. They then went the next morning and washed the car.

The fact that they were his friends doesn’t mean anything. One of the guys did jail time for killing another friend.

James Byrd was dragged to death by “friends” as well–this doesn’t mean anything.

What has happened here is highly irregular. The two men were initially charged with murder. These charges have now been dropped at the request of a special prosecutor. The original prosecutor had to recuse himself from the case because he was a defense attorney for one of the accused on a prior attempted murder charge. As a poster upstream notes, the two men admitted to “bumping” McClelland and then cleaning the truck afterwards.

Now all of a sudden someone has come forward to admit they “accidentally struck” McClelland? This doesn’t pass the smell test.

In 1987 12 yr old son was crossing the street near my home, he was in the crosswalk on a fresh green light. A car ran thru the light and hit him dragging him for over 45ft before the driver stopped and he was flung another 8ft…he nearly died and was in intensive care for a few weeks and hospitalized for over 4 months having multiple surgeries and to this day has an announced limp and severe headaches. The brotha that hit him 1. had no license..2 had no insurance..3 was intoxicated and 4..had his arm strapped off and a syringe on the seat next to him..5 tried to run off after he got out of the car..6 had a failure to appear warrant for a previous DUI…..He did two days in jail and was released on all counts…..Heres how the reasoning was broken down to me..1 for the warrant, driving with no license 2 days in jail was time served for those…2 for the DUI he was given sentenced to AAA..3 for driving with no insurance he was fined and the car returned to its owner..His running the light was because he was looking down as he was strapping off and hit my son, the court said that since he hit my son before he had injected himself they couldn’t charge him with being under the influence of a non perscribed substance..6 since onlookers caught him and kept him from running off he couldn’t be charged with leaving the scene of an accident either….dude was just let go and free to go about his business while my son was laid up near death……the detectives and the officers involved were as angry as my family and I were and slid me his address which I held onto until it was evident that the court had no intention of locking him up for a any amount of time. ……after giving the system 5 years it got handled the old fashion way feel me…….point I was making is that along with the racist nature of the courts it also plain dysfunctional…….

Black people are generally safe around white people late at night. I am often out late with black people and I haven’t killed any yet. It would probably be a good idea to avoid being out late with white people who look like those pictured above, however.

I remember not so long ago, Al sharp ton along with other protesters who were black, white and Latino, marched along side one another to protest the New York Post for their negative cartoon featuring Obama as a dead Ape. They were upset that a newspaper can print such trash. Everyone is not a born racist because of their color.

Again I don’t know if this incident is racial or not, but they were high as hell when they hit the guy and they probably paniced due to the fact they were zonked out of their minds.
