Man Threatens To Kill Teen With Machete For Disciplining Dog

Deputies say a 68-year-old Orange City area man threatened his teenage stepgrandson with a machete for disciplining a 14-pound Chihuahua that defecated on the family’s couch.

Via Orlando Sentinel:

Robert Kronz, 68, was yelling at his dog Sunday evening, when the 17-year-old decided to take the disciplining into his own hands — literally, according to a Volusia County Sheriff’s Office report.

Kronz told deputies the teen hit the dog and could’ve easily hurt it because it’s so small.

And because of that, witnesses said, Kronz became irate.

He grabbed a machete and started swinging it at the teen, according to an arrest report.

Kronz didn’t hit the teen but tried to tackle the teen’s older brother, who tried to intervene, the report states.

The older brother told deputies Kronz punched him in the head, though deputies said they didn’t see any marks.

After talking with witnesses and finding the machete, deputies arrested Kronz on charges of battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the Sheriff’s Office said.

He is being held in the Volusia County Jail on $11,000 bail.

It’s unclear whether the dog was injured.

What the hell is in the water in Florida???
