Exclusive Akon Got It IN At His Prom + Ryan Leslie Shouts Out Bossip On Next Album

Bossip was in the building over the weekend at a live prom concert celebrating the senior class of New York City’s The High School of Fashion Industries. Akon, Kid Cudi, Kat Deluna and Ryan Leslie chopped it up with us. Po’ lil Ryan Leslie froze up when we grilled him on his boo Cassie, and Akon let us know that he was chopping it down at his prom…which was probably in 1972.

Bossip: What about you and Cassie? Who are you seeing?
Ryan Leslie: *stutters* “Right now, I’m definitely going to be enjoying my summer. I’ve started in the Hamptons, I’ve been in Miami…we’ll do St. Tropez soon. I’m sure there’s someone out there that I’ll be spending quality time with and hopefully you’re going to take a couple pictures of it.”

Bossip: During your exclusive with Bossip you let us know that you went to college hella early, so did you make it to prom?
Ryan Leslie: Nope, I missed my prom because I skipped my senior year to go to college early, so this is actually my first prom.

Bossip: Tell us about your next project?
Ryan Leslie: We’re actually already working on the next album. I’m really excited because I just did a single titled “Something That I Like” ft. Pusha T of the Clipse. There’s actually a reference to Bossip on the track and I’m looking forward to giving y’all an exclusive.

We also caught up with Akon…

Bossip: Does attending this prom make you nostalgic of your own?
Akon: Yea I kinda bring back a lot of memories. My prom was the sh*t I had a good time. I might have overdid it.

It was the shit? What made it so good?
Akon:*laughs* Yea, but let’s not take it there, use your imagination.

Bossip: Tell us about the artist on the label?
Akon: Gaga’s on the road working on her album, TPain’s working on his new album, and we’ve got Red Cafe about to drop a new album. It’s about to be a big summer.

Bossip: How is your relationship going?
Akon: Only relationship I got is the label, I’m trying to get that money.

Ryan Leslie is the ***** !! his cd was one of the best cds ALL THE WAY THROUGH that I have heard in a minute….I am such a big fan of his talent…
