Will Nicki Minaj Eventually Choose Sides In The Drake Vs. Meek Mill Battle?
The last couple of weeks have been full of strife and unrest in the hip-hop community. There have been Twitter rants, wrestling-style promo videos, memes, Instagrams, and a TON of jokes.
The public at-large is helping to fuel these beefs via social media and none of them have been instigated more than Meek Mill vs. Drake
The recent fracas between the two rappers has put Nicki Minaj in a very precarious spot. Her new relationship with Meek Mill and her long-standing relationship with Drake is being tested as the embattled MCs volley diss records back-and-forth.
Thus far, she’s remained completely mum on the subject. The only tweets or Instagram posts she’s sent out are photos and videos from her Pink print tour, forgoing any photos of her and Meek canoodling backstage or making lovey-dovey faces at each other while performing their collaborative single “All Eyes On You” as she had done frequently before.
It’s a fair question to ask, is Onika trying to salvage her friendship with Drake while also remaining loyal to her man? Is that even realistic?
Rumblings of an imminent breakup are swirling around the internet and some are even encouraging it.
Drake has always seemed to have great affection and respect for Nicki as his lyrics on “Back To Back” suggest:
Shoutout to all my boss b!^c#e$ wifing n!**a$, make sure you hit ’em with the pre-nup!
That said, too much mention of Nicki in these battle rap bars could potentially make her feel some type of way, especially if Drake continues to insinuate that maybe he chopped her down:
Rumor has it, either I f***ed her, or I never could, but rumor has it hasn’t done you n!**a$ any good
We already know Nicki is not one to bite her tongue when she’s pissed off.
