Obama: The Old-School Civil Rights Negroes Are Stabbing Me in The Back
Posted by Bossip Staff
The majority of the old-school Clinton-backed negro mafia are trying to prevent Obama from becoming the next President of the United States including BET’s Robert Johnson, Andrew Young, John Lewis, Sheila Lee Jackson, Magic Johnson, and Charles Rangel.
Newsweek profiled the role race has played in the Obama campaign and quoted him as saying the following when he found out that no-good John Lewis told him he was ridin with Hillary:
“He told John that that he felt like a father was stabbing him in the back,” an aide to Mr. Obama said. “Barack sees himself as an extension of the civil rights movement, and so it hurt him deeply when a leader of that movement told him he wasn’t ready.”
Click here to read about how the Clinton backed Negro-mafia in Congress will have powerful votes at the Convention that could break a tie between Clinton and Obama. Maxine Waters, Charles Rangel, and John Lewis are all fighting to stop Obama for Clinton. SMH.
After we beat Hillary and vote Bush out of office, these Clinton-backed establishment negroes and their old ways of thinking have to go too!

OBAMA DONT NEED THEM ANY HOW SOMETIMES YOU NEED BETTER PEOPLE
That’s messed up. Voting for Clinton means you’re wanting more of the same run-of-the-mill “shenannigans” that the Clintons are known for. They’re turning their backs on the prospect of change for America. What a dissapointment!
Obama just needs to sweep the popular vote and screw the Super Delegates. Clinton wouldn’t dare pull this Bush like tactic!!
And if she does then we better get off our lazy ***** and protest and damn near riot in the street because again our voices was not heard!!!!!
I know this won’t sound politically correct but Barack has to realize he’s still a young man he is only 46. Some of the old civil rights guard these people are not only old in age but also old in relation to their politics. The old civil rights guard also fear a young black man such as Barack Obama they are comfortable with the status quo. I just got to say to the current young black generation think for yourself, pay attention to the issues of the candidates, and please vote. Please tell your friends to vote as well. The old civil rights guard their time as p*****ed. It is time for Andrew Young, and the rest of his crew to go to the pasture and expire. A new generation has emerged and demands more. The Democratic Party doesn’t mind blacks in secondary roles or on the sidelines but does not want blacks in positions of power. Obama does need to make a clean sweep or else the Super Delegates will maintain the status quo and support Hillary Clinton. It is sad but true.
RANGEL…WHY IS HE EVEN STILL IN OFFICE HE IS NOT DOING ISH FOR HARLEM AT ALL.
YOU KNOW ALL THESE CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVISTS ARE BEING PAID UNDER THE TABLE BY CLINTON. RANGLE PRACTICALLY SUCKED BILL’S ***** TO GET HIM TO GET AN OFFICE IN HARLEM…WHATEVER.
WE YOUNG PEOPLE NEED TO ROCK THE VOTE IN 2008. SOME OF THESE PEOPLE’S IDEALS AND VALUES ARE SO ANTIQUATED.
Not ready? 45 Cent said the same damn thing, if your not voting for the brother because you believe he is not ready thats just stupid. Alot of black folks also said America wasn’t ready for a black woman to give up her seat to a white man, alot of black folks said America isn’t ready for blacks kids to go to an all white highschool. If we listened to those same black folks we would still be at the back of the bus and our kids would still be going the the worst schools.
THIS IS A NEW DAY…IF THEY DONT BACK HIM, THE SAME PEOPLE THAT PUT THEM IN OFFICE WILL TRY TO PUT THEM OUT OF OFFICE..SO IF THERE ARE ANY YOUNG, ASPIRING BLACK POLITICIANS IN THESE DISTRICTS, GET READY, YOU MAY BE ON A QUICK COME UP..
I think Obama’s feelings were really hurt by the way Lewis just so publicly and blatantly betrayed him. These folks should be ashamed of their so-called black *****ess!
don’t worry, once obama is in office and then cory booker, all these clinton supporters will long be obsolete!! can’t wait! obama 2008-2016!
It’s going to be really interesting how these negroes are going act if Barck gets the nomination and wins the presidency. How many of them will be wanting favors or positions in his cabinet. I hope these so called leaders are voting their conscience and not because they “owe” the Clintons.
I think they can endorse whoever they want. They’re not needed to move forward, but they should show some tact and be positive rather than attacking Barack. That’s just unnecessary
Also, some new leadership needs to emerge in the black community if everyone’s so disgruntled with the old guard. Just complaining about them is stupid.
The way this is going down is unfortunate. Barack’s message and momentum is new to ALL of us. I for one thought he was jumping the gun and should of waited to run, but eventually he brought me around as he did many other people. If Barack get’s elected all of these people will have egg on their face.
So he betrayed Barack because he did not support him because he is also black? That is the most absurd and racist thing I have ever heard. The democrats will lose in November if they nominate Obama, especially with this mentality. This weekend Bush already started higlighting Obama’s lack of foreign policy experience and contrasted that against McCain. Once the red states and public learn of Obama’s liberal position on many issues they will ride with McCain (who is more to the center). Let us not forget, Bill Clinton was able to win 2 terms becuase he was in the center. Right now the party is being hijacked by the left wing, let’s be honest whites in middle America will not elect a black liberal. It is too much for them. Lastly, if you think the Hispanics will ride with Obama, you are living in a fantasy world especially given McCain’s position on immigration.
obama need to put me in there as minister of defense, on the real – i’ll take these old bammas to the porch with thunder 1 and thunger 2
It’s amazing that these memebers of Congress can blatantly ignore the WIDE array of votes Obama is recieving. I mean to win by at least 55% in places like Idaho, Colorado, South Caroline and recently Maine, how do you turn a blind eye to that? He’s winning in mostly black AND white counties! When more White people say they are ready for a Black pres than Black folks, we got a problem.
@InformedVoter
Bush’s lack of foriegn policy got us into a war that’s bankrupting the country. So what are you saying?
It’s funny as hell that these were people for the past 30 years or so fighting for the black cause…and when we have a black man running for a president there all going at him like he’s George Bush…Sell out house *****’s get you everytime.
OBAMA IS GOING TO RAIN ON THEM “PIN HEADS TOO!!”
GOD BLESS OBAMA.. HE IS DEFINITELY THE MAN FOR THE JOB!
@Cannon
Yes it is true Obama won in large margins in those “red states” which were mostly caucuses. Caucuses are not a represetative sample of how people would really vote. First off it excludes many because of location, it takes hours, and is not a private process. Do you seriously think he will win any of those states in Novemeber? Additionally, you are right about Bush’s lack of experience which it exactly why Obama is also a liability. Yes , he is far more intelligent that Bush but he is still green. How would you explain Obama’s comments about bombing Iran?
A-h-h-h-h
These Ol Skool Kneegrows should really listen to their “Inner Child”.
Remember when you were 5 years old, and a grown-up asked you wanted you wanted to be when you grew up?
When you said, “A Doctor, A Lawyer, a Fireman, A Nurse, The President of the United States of America”, They responded: “That Great! In America, You Can Be Anybody You Want to Be!”
WHY IS IT that when you become an Adult, these same Folks that pumped you up as a Child, now tell you that you now CAN”T BE?
SENATOR OBAMA WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!
WHY?
Because in Business, (Which the current Administration greatly reflects) The White Guy in Charge Screws things up, the powers that be ALWAYS appoints the Black Person to the Hot Seat to fix the Mess, and then when the Ship is righted and on course again, the give the Job to a WHITE WOMAN. (Think about the Politics that goes on in your daily worklife, and you will find that this is true, time after time)
See this is exactly why I am sooo fed up with this election. Stuff like this makes you want to give up and just not vote or anything. We finally have a smart, educated respectable minority trying to do something good and different for our country and he is being shut down by the same people who claimed to want change and diversity, unity and equality. Whenever, I look at OBama, I see change and unity. Not the same old white supremacy that this country was established on. This is truly a dog eat dog country! we can’t even depend on our own peopl to back us up!
The problem with this article and many others like it is that it injects race into the primaries while trying to p***** as being non biased. The more it’s talked about the more white people will hesitate to support him.
I read the article on Msnbc and it’s obvious that it could have ran last month.
People keep acting as if he’s the black candidate when he’s proven 10 times over that he appeals across the spectrum but everytime a primary/caucus goes in his favor they play up the black support. It’s all code.
These outdated civil rights negros really need to fall back. That afro-centric notion of it’s all about us isn’t going to bring reparations or allow us to break any gl***** ceilings. Whatever we get now is going to have to be by our own merit and we can’t live in a vacuum. We can’t expect everybody to care about us and we don’t care about them.
I THINK THE BLACK COMMUNITY NEEDS NEW LEADERSHIP, NEW DIRECTION AS WELL. THE ISSUES FACING OUR COMMUNITIES IN THE 60′S ARE DIFFERENT THEN THE ONE’S WE FACE TODAY. I OFTEN WONDER WHY THE NAACP DOESN’T DO MORE FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF BLACK PEOPLE? WHY ARE SOME OF US DOING BETTER AND OTHERS ARE STILL STUCK IN THEIR NEIBORHOODS KILLING EACH OTHER? HOW ARE WE GOING TO FIX THAT? WHAT ABOUT THE BLACK FAMILY? IT IS PRETTY NON-EXSISTENT IN THE HOOD? MEN NEED TO STAND UP AND BE MEN IN THESE COMMUNITIES. IF YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT IT, YOUNG BLACK MEN IN THE HOOD ARE THE ONE’S CAUSING ALL OF THE PROBLEMS. WHY IS THAT? WHAT CAN WE DO TO FIX IT?
I’M NOT SAYING BARACK IS GOING FIX THIS. BUT WHAT IM HOPING IS THAT FROM THIS “CHANGE” MOVEMENT, WE WILL PUT A SPOTLIGHT ON WHAT IS WRONG IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY AND FIND NEW WAYS TO FIX THEM.
OBAMA 08
Let’s please just forget about the racce factor, and try to look at who we want to lead our country. I am tired of the trickery and ruse of the bush clinton administration. Give someone else a chance! We need change!!!
what does SMH mean?
What has happened is that the Clinton’s have begun to call in favors of all the black people in which they have given their money and funding too. Not surprised. Obama is going to make it to the White House-and its going to be white people that put him there.
I guess the white editors must have written the caption be low the picture. That would more than likely explain why U.S. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is called “Sheila Lee Jackson.”
These so-called leaders really are nauseating!! They talk a good game, but when it comes to really standing behind all the rhetoric they spew…they sell out!! Obama not ready?!?! Give me a break, when Martin Luther King, Jr. became the leader that he did, just how “ready” was he? He was young, but he had the support of the community and backing of strong leadership, so he was successful. Sure, these folks are old Clinton cronies who probably feel a sense of loyalty, (not to mention their own personal agendas. However, if even Ted Kennedy, who considers himself a true Clinton friend (and I believe has even vacationed with the Clintons), can support and stand behind Obama, why can’t these misguided, disloyal, ***** kissing puppets?!?! Oh, maybe Obama is “not ready” because he’s not playing by their rules, he’s not kissing their *****es and didn’t seek their advice or approval, maybe he didn’t ask permission from the old guard before he decided to run for office. *heavy sarcasm*
I agree, now is definitely the time for a new generation of African American leaders and like someone said, put these old geezers out to pasture!!
smh means shanking my head!
Shaking My Head^^^
Hopefully any person with common sense will see this for what it is. Hate and jealousy. How can a leader of the civil rights movement tell Obama he isnt ready? What happened to the time for change is NOW!? American people are showing their love and support for him so to hell with these haters.
I called the offices of these Old School Negroes yesterday and expressed my great disappointment in them for not supporting OBAMA.
I also explained how I have followed their careers and believed in them, especially Ms. Waters and Mr. Rangel, and they have diminished my belief in them. Responses from their office personnel ranged from “Yeah, yah, is that all” or silence and hang up. Thet don’t even have the respect to have form responses. They know they are wrong but are too envious and pathetic.
OBAMA CAN do it WITHOUT THEM and OBAMA WILL. And we should all remember and VOTE THE OLD SCHOOL NEGROES OUT OF OFFICE when time comes. Every last one of them.
I believed Maxine Waters all those years about fighting for our black youth to overcome and get educated and succeed and be what they want.
Oh, silly me, I misunderstood Ms. Waters. All those years I thought she wasn’t advocating for future Obamas. She was actually advocating for future “really black” Clintons.
If BILLARY BUSH dismisses the will of the people and STEALS this nomination, people of all colors are gonna tear this country up! Watch!
Billary’s daughter Chesea is 25 years old, completed school just three years ago, and earns $250,000 a year! Who are these people relating too?!! The Clintons have done their job. But they are too greedy to retire and no matter what they say to the contrary, there are political ambitions for their little hedge fund broker.
All people are sick and tired of the Clinton-Bush monarchy/dictatorship.
OBAMA 2008!!
YES HE CAN!!
OBAMA 2008!!
MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!
LOOK AT HOW WE ARE VIEWED BY OTHER RACES!!!!!!
DEAR BLACK AMERICANS,
After all of these years and all we have been through together, we think it’s appropriate for us to show our gratitude for all you have done for us. We have chastised you, criticized you, punished you, and in some cases even apologized to you, but we have never formally nor publicly thanked you for your never-ending allegiance and support to our cause.
This is our open letter of thanks. We will always be in your debt to you for your labor. You built this country and were responsible for the great wealth we still enjoy today. Upon your backs, laden with the stripes we sometimes had to apply for disciplinary reasons, you carried our nation.
We thank you for your diligence and your tenacity. Even when we refused to allow you to even walk in our shadows, you followed close behind believing that someday we would accept you and treat you like men and women. We publicly acknowledged Black people for raising our children, attending to our sick, and preparing our meals while we were occupied with the trappings of the good life.
Even during the time when we found pleasure in your women and enjoyment in seeing your men lynched, maimed and buried, some of you continued to watch over our belongings and us. We simply cannot thank you enough.
Your bravery on the battlefield, despite being cl*****ified as three-fifths of a man, was and still is outstanding. We often watched in awe as you went about your prescribed c*****s and *****ignments, sometimes laboring in the hot sun for 12 hours, to *****ist in realizing our dreams of wealth and good fortune.
Now that we control at least 90 percent of all of the resources and wealth of this nation, we have Black people to thank the most. We can only think of the sacrifices you and your families made to make it all possible.
You were there when it all began, and you are still with us today, protecting us from those Black people who have the tremerity to speak out against our past transgressions. Thank you for continuing to bring 95 percent of what you earn to our businesses.
Thanks for buying our Hilfigers, Karans, Nikes, and all the other brands you so adore. Your super-rich athletes, entertainers, intellectuals, and businesspersons (both legal and illegal) exchange most of their money for our cars, jewelry, homes, and clothing. What a windfall they have provided for us!
The less fortunate among you spend all they have at our neighborhood stores, enabling us to open even more stores. Sure, they complain about us, but they never do anything to hurt us economically. Allow us to thank you for not bogging yourself down with the business of ding business with your own people. WE can take care of that for you.
You just keep doing business with us. It’s safer that way. Besides, everything you need, we make anyway, even Kente cloth. You just continue to dance, sing, and distrust and hate one another.
Have yourself a good time, and this time we’ll take of you. It’s the least we can do, considering all you’ve done for us. Heck, you deserve it, Black people. For all your labor, which created our wealth, for your resisting the messages of trouble making Blacks like Washington, Delany, Garvey, Bethune, Tubman, and Truth, for fighting and dying on our battlefields, we thank you.
And we really thank you for not reading about the many Black warriors that parti*****ted in the development of our great country. We thank you for keeping it hidden from younger generations. Thank you for not bringing such glorious deeds to our attention.
For allowing us to move into your neighborhoods, we will forever be grateful to you. For your unceasing desire to be near us and for hardly ever following through on your threats due to our lack of reciprocity and equity – we thank you so much.
We also appreciate your acquiescence to our political agendas, for abdicating your own economic self-sufficiency, and for working so diligently for the economic well-being of our people. You are real troopers.
And, even though the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments were written for you and many of your relatives died for the rights described therein, you did not resist when we changed those Black rights to civil rights and allowed virtually every other group to take advantage of them as well.
Black people, you are something else! Your dependence upon us to do the right thing is beyond our imagination, irrespective of what we do to you and the many promises we have made and broken. But, this time we will make it right, we promise. Trust us.
Tell you what. You don’t need your own hotels. You can continue to stay in ours. You have no need for supermarkets when you can shop at ours 24 hours a day. Why should you even think about owning more banks? You have plenty now. And don’t waste your energies trying to break into manufacturing. You worked hard enough in our fields.
Relax. Have a party. We’ll sell you everything you need. And when you die, we’ll even bury you at a discount. How’s that for gratitude?
Finally, the best part. You went beyond the pale and turned over your children to us for their education. With what we have taught them, it’s likely they will continue in a mode similar to the one you have followed for the past 45 years (since school desegregation).
When Mr. Lynch walked on the banks of the James River in 1712 and said he would make us a slave for 300 years, little did he realize the truth of his prediction. Just 13 more years and his promise will come to fruition. But with two generations of your children having gone through our education system, we can look forward to at least another 50 years of prosperity.
Things could not be better – it’s all because of you. For all you have done, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Black-Americans. You’re the best friends any group of people could ever have!
Sincerely,
All other Americans
house *****s!!!!
Anyone who works for BET has no say with what goes on in the African-American community.
Sad but IT IS ABOUT RACE. Everyday it is about RACE when I step my foot on American soil. So take that race(ism) bull***** and kiss my behind. We all know that white american has manipulated the country and black minds from the minute we stepped foot on the land. Some of the older blacks NOT ALL still have that YES M*****A attitude and it shows.
At the end of the day they still look at my color just like I see Obamas. But this dude is of color and has substance. Why not give him a chance I was forced to give Bush a chance and what happened? This will be my 4th or 5th election where I can vote and I dont think I ever voted in the preliminaries because it was always a win for the Clinton/Gore party but we gave the Clinton’s a chance. First Black President my *****. Now I see why the preliminaries are so important.
When dude wins I feel sorry for the non supporters.
I agree with AlwaysaLady it is true jealousy and envy because they NEVER tried I really believe that! They dont want to see a brother win.
Its sad to see my black people divided over such a momenetous part of our history. This is one major reason we do need change, because we cant stick together. Our social fabric is tearing simply because we live by different moral standards. Well, those moral standards shouldnt be standards at all. Yes, most of our people are still in ghettos, but we live in an era when you no longer need to have a ghetto mentality. We live in an era where you can get a good job and a good education. We no longer have the limits we, as black people, had 50 years ago.
You cant go through life stupidly then get mad when you cant get a good job. Be smart. You want respect? Well respect yourself first.
We segregate ourselves in our own community. WE NEED TO WAKE UP. I cant stand seeing the same people on the same corner doing nothing with their lives. Yeah, you think its cool when you’re 20, but what about when you 45? What are you going to do then?
I am a 25 year-old young black man who grew up in a ghetto, but refuse to settle. I got my Bachelors in Architecture and now work in a Architecture studio. I have a dream, only the difference is Im chasing mine….
a bunch of self hating negros and you wonder why we can’t get no where as a people.we always talk about having a black person in the white house and now that there a good chance of it and we don’t even back our own.
Oh, and lets help Obama make his dream a reality
All of those old school *****s make me sick to my stomach. In the caribbean where I grew up, we have a description for people like them – “Carry-Down Artists”. That’s what you call black people who are always trying to cir*****vent their very own progress. Those motha’s aren’t comfortable in their own skin if they aren’t able to put everything into neat little compartments of black versus white. Apparently Obama’s nose isn’t wide enough and his lips are not thick enough for their old black *****es. I experience the very same kind of treatment from many but not all old black people that Obama does – I am mixed race just like him. They just don’t like our trust us and they would prefer the status quo of bowing their heads and saying “morning m*****a” to some white person before you could ever get a hello from them – never mind a smile.
For black people “black crab syndrome” is a reality. Black crabs will pull down any and everyone who tries to get ahead before they do. And what is also a reality is those old heads who were a part of the civil rights movement say they are ready for change, but in actually may still be trapped in that old “second cl*****” mentality and are not ready for the wids of change to blow! Or on a more cynical level, they realize that they may not be able to keep Obama in their back pocket so he is not useful and cannot be given the opportunity to win.
I say they can all jump the nearest cliff!! The winds of change are coming strong and no one can stop or change those events that are already in motion. What is meant to be will be, and the Bible says “once GOD begins a work in you, he WILL complete it to the very end!!”
OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!
BTW, remember that endorsement that Hillary got from Rev. Calvin Butts, pastor of a large church in Harlem…check this out. Again, quid pro quo in full affect.

Pastor Got $1.5 Million in Clinton Earmarks Before Endorsement
By Fred Lucas
CNSNews.com Staff Writer
January 24, 2008
(CNSNews.com) – Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) secured more than $1 million in federal funding last year for a Harlem-based non-profit whose leader gave her presidential campaign a major endorsement last weekend.
Clinton — who is aggressively competing for the black vote with her chief rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) — touted the endorsement of Rev. Calvin O. Butts III, a prominent black leader and pastor of one of the oldest black churches in America, the Abyssinian Baptist Church of Harlem.
The $555-billion FY 2008 omnibus spending bill approved last month by Congress included 11 appropriations bills with 11,000 earmarks. Clinton teamed with senior New York Sen. Charles Schumer and New York Rep. Charles Rangel, both Democrats, to provide three earmarks for the Abyssinian Development Corporation (ADC).
The ADC is a separate non-profit community development organization chaired by Butts that focuses on increasing quality housing, delivering social services, and boosting economic and educational opportunities in Harlem.
Clinton backed an $839,000 earmark to the development corporation’s programs for at-risk youth; $446,500 for the organization to expand youth after-school programs; and $146,000 for the group’s social service work.
Clinton accepted credit for the Abyssinian earmarks and other earmarks in a statement released in December, saying, “I am proud that these funds will help support critical investments in New York City — from strengthening community programs for our children to supporting the city’s colleges and universities to cleaning up our waterways.”
An *****ysis by the government watchdog group Citizens Against Government Waste found that of all the presidential candidates serving in Congress, Clinton had the most earmarks.
Clinton’s Senate press secretary Philippe Reines said in a written statement that Clinton is “very proud” of the federal funding she secured for the state of New York, but the statement did not address any specific earmarks.
Neither Butts nor the development corporations responded to inquiries from Cybercast News Service this week for comment.
As he endorsed Clinton Sunday, Butts remarked he is “confident that Sen. Hillary Clinton is the candidate best suited to be the Democratic presidential nominee and the next president of the United States.”
“In her current position as United States senator from New York, she has also been very supportive of the Abyssinian Baptist Church’s development work in Harlem,” Butts said. “Thus I have seen first-hand the wisdom, insight, and concern she brings in her approach to community development, education, and developmental opportunities for youth and economic revitalization, as well as tirelessly advocating for families, promoting health care reform and fighting global HIV/AIDS.”
Barack doesn’t need them. I hope they feel foolish when he gets the nom without them. They are all in it for favors, and that makes me sick. Political servants my *****! Reps of the community my *****! Those fools don’t rep me!
WOW!!! If all these so-called civil rights negroes didn’t believe in a better hope for us a people, what have they been doing for the last 30 years (besides padding their pockets of course).
I would just like to say Black people, please look outside of the box of race and sex when it comes to Barack or Hilary, the media is fooling you into voting into another 4 years of the same system. Don’t you think it’s a little weird that both a Black man and a Woman are running this year? Yeah.
Why would you want Hilary who was a part of the administration before Bush? We don’t want to go backwards we need something new.
Why would we want to put the future of our children with a Barack’s abstract ideas of hope? Can we rely on him to deal with the global community, pull us out of Iraq RIGHT NOW? Focus on rebuilding the country and leading civilization by example? NO. He needs more time to grow in order to give us this.
I’m believe the BEST candidate for 2008 is RON PAUL. YES, he is republican, yes he is a White male, yes he is a Texan BUT if you take the time to look outside the TV and what they want you to hear you will notice that he is in the background talking about a lot of things hat can help is realize a day of peace.
The media purposely don’t mention him because he does pose a threat to the system with his *****y ideas.
Unlike Barack and Hilary he doesn’t sound like a drone politician. He just isn’t talking at you he is talking with you. He takes the time and let you know how the system isn’t working and step by step tells you how he is going to fix it. REAL IDEAS.He doesn’t waste his time talking about what the other candidates did and what they won’t do, he always fixates on US (me and you) and what this country needs to do to grow.
Ron Paul wants to get rid of the federal reserve NOW the institution that is keeping you in financial slavery.
Ron Paul wants to get rid of the income tax NOW!
Ron Paul wants to get the feds off your children’s book and let the state handle that. So we won’t have these problems with testing and our kids getting the education they deserve.
Ron Paul believes in a smaller government, getting the government out of your house, out of your business. He believes that these major corporations shouldn’t be basically influencing the government and controlling your pockets.
Ron Paul wants to end the War on Drugs NOW. The War on Drugs means absolutely *****. It isn’t protecting you, it’s putting Black men in prison every 5 seconds. Our government imports drugs and jails anyone who imports it without paying them off. Then when they put you in jail, private companies are making a profit off of the inmates. Oh yes. Ron Paul believes that should go NOW!
Don’t you?
We need a new face, something totally different from the same on. We don’t need slick talking, charisma. We need a person who will to break the system down instead of trying to work with it. We need a new day.
Ron Paul can give us that.
So why not look him up and give him 3 minutes of your time. Don’t blow it off, just see.
Barack and Hilary are the only choice for so many people because the TV tell them so. Or the Bush administration has made you hate and distrust Republicans which isn’t fair, because that isn’t what Ron Paul is. Or some Black people feel they have to be faithful to Miss Clinton since her husband was “the first Black president”, and some of you want to vote for Obama because he is Black. You don’t have to pick from two lessers, please check out Ron Paul, I believe he is our last hope.
my cousins, wit their crab eating azzes better vote obama today! he’s going to kill it again today!
Why is that when a Black man is really trying to make moves, sometimes its our own people who create the biggest hurdles?
Ya’ll are getting too worked up over this right now. All you realistically can do is head to the polls in your state and vote for the person you want to lead the Democratic party in the bid for the presidency. More importantly, you have got to parti*****te in your LOCAL elections and vote for young energetic blacks who are trying to make a difference where you live. If you have an old school black leader who is not taking care of your community, then QUIT VOTING for these people! The GOP knows the Democrats are traditionally unorganized, unfocused, unaware and full of drama. For example, I live in Florida and my damn vote doesn’t even count because we moved our primary and we got punished. What the f** is THAT?
The Democratic party nomination process basically out of our control. It’s not based on a popular vote, it’s based on winning influential delegates. The first order of business for the candidate is to unite the party. If the party is divided (split among racial lines in this case), the GOP will win the presidency and it will be another 8 years of Bush-like policies. We need to force the Democratic Party focus on OUR issues collectively. That’s why we need blacks on Team Hillary and Team Obama. Don’t be so naive to think that Obama is a maverick who will change everything in Washington. Politics is a very dirty business and he will have to hold the party line.
you believe ron paul can do all those things but you don’t believe barack can do the same? where is the logic in that. Obviously we don’t know what ANY of these candidates will do until ONE of them is actually elected president. So for now we can only speculate. So if we can speculate then don’t knock the millions of people that believe Barack is the real deal. And You can’t say otherwise until he does a bad job in office.
And by the way RON PAUL came on the Bill Maher show about a month ago and said he didn’t support the liberation of slaves. this means if this were the 1800s and ron paul was president your ***** and my ***** would still be enslaved. think about that.
Informedvoter…what you said
Why do people feel that Obama’s being black is the reason why people are voting for him? I never considered that. I looked at what has been done in the past 2 terms of presidency and listen to what all the candidates have to say now to make this country better. It’s not about color. The only reason everyone is making it a factor is because of the thought of a colored man as president of the USA, has scared the hell out of everyone(including the house negroes..you know who they are). They are worried that they won’t have a job or have a cause anymore. The thought that Obama makes sense. The thought that this man may actually make a difference. If you take away his color would you all have the same opinion? I want real and strong leadership, not someone who is getting advice from the sideline. I want someone who is not thinking of color when making the most important decisions. I want someone who is confident and can bring back the good relationships we had with the other countries, someone we can trust to make great alliances so that we won’t have another Sept. 11. Obama can do that. We just have to give him that opportunity. YES WE CAN!!!
simple minded jealousy…they’re upset because they are not in obama’s position, especially since they’ve “been in the game” since forever. well, all i can say is they are writing checks that they won’t be able to cash later…their support is waning, they shoud heed the public
You know this headline is very disrespectful. Those blacks did a lot on behalf of black and to disrespect them by calling them negroes is disgusting.
First if it is an election and they like Clinton that is their effing business. All blacks aren’t supporting Barack in the primaries just like not all women aren’t supporting Hillary.
Please stop falling for that Republican bull***** to divide and conquer Democrats.
Everybody made money under Clinton and no one likes being poor, losing their jobs and homes under Bush. People remember the good the Clintons did.
It seems as though Clinton’s campaign is shaky at the moment. I’m referring to her loaning her campaign $5 million and replacing her manager. What’s next? The Obama campaign and its millions of supporters have the Clinton campaign on its heels. Several thousand large donations are no match for millions and millions of small donations. He is funded by the people and the people are speaking!!!
Even if Hillary manages to survive until the convention, if Obama maintains a lead in pledged delegates, the superdelegates would have to think long and hard before giving Hillary the nod. Her only hope is WINNING states, unlikely to happen given Obama’s momentum and uplifting message.
Electing Hillary Clinton would be like going back to an old relationship after a bad breakup. It’s comfortable and familiar at first, but then you start to remember why you broke up in the first place. It’s best that we leave the past behind and focus on the future.
Ron Paul imposter, this is the most asinine statement I’ve read all day…”Why would we want to put the future of our children with a Barack’s abstract ideas of hope?” Get out a dictionary, recall the history of black folks in America and then tell me what is so “abstract” about hope. You’re an idiot. Bug-eye Heather, is that you?
Question: How are blacks divided when 80-90% vote for Obama?
Just because a black person disagrees and doesn’t believe Obama is the best nominee for the Democratic party doesn’t automatically mean they have no pride in their race, they are uncle toms, or sellouts. Please don’t insult others for their opinions, it just shows your lack of intellectual maturity.Just because he is black doesn’t equate huge change in the lives of black, Condi Rice anyone? More specifically I would like to know: what will he change, how will he change it, and what has he changed in the past to illustrate his capability to change things in the future?
Thats exactly why people are voting for HILLARY. They think voting for her means bringing back BILL CLINTON and they are dead wrong. Obama like many people want CHANGE, we don’t want musical chairs. changing people around and getting same results. We want change. everyone OUT. all the big corps OUT, the drug companies who have a strangle hold on old folks HOUT. WE WANT CHANGE !!! OBAMA.
WHO wants a President who is going shead TEARS because she had a moment ???, whether it be because BILL betrayed her with MOnica or because people say she is COLD HEARTED N CRUEL. get over it. We can’t afford to have a President to make decsions on her emotions. we need a STRONG President not a Cry baby
These negros do own Clinton, but I think they should think of the long run of what having Obama as a president would mean. I don’t think Obama needs them anyway though. When Obama wins, they will look stupid.
My only issue with black people at the moment (I am black) is blacks allow themselves and place themselves in a box. We don’t all think a like. We don’t all wear baggy clothes and speak the same.
I just think blacks need to see the disservice they do themselves and others who are different than the stereotypical black depiction. You think people should just fall in line. Well others have brains too and I hope they are using. Personally I am proud that a black can make a choice. We saw what happened to Alberto Gonzales and Hispanics. He was a disaster and they admit and they learned an important lesson that we have already learned. Everybody black isn’t always the most qualified no more than a white man selfishly believes that he is ALWAYS the most qualified for the job.
I’m happy for the Democrats and I will support both of them in November. I just hate to see Democrats fall the same Republican spin *****. They are trying to drive a wedge so that blacks won’t support Hillary if she is the nominee.
Republicans own the media. They hit her hard right now on a daily basis. They are giving Barack a p***** right but trust they are going to be nasty to whomever the nominee.
Just because people repeat a lie over and over again, it does not make it true. Hillary is not divisive, it is only media reporting that. I’m supporting the Dem candidate whomever that may be
We don’t need a vacationing President like Bush. I feel Hillary is a hard worker and will roll up her sleeves to get some ***** corrected in this country.
My ideal scenario would be Hillary/Barack for 8 years and Barack and whomever for 8 more. That would be 16 years of Dems appointing judges, setting the economic agenda and the mood of the country for THE PEOPLE, Not for the corporations.
We need to stop the hate and just let the process play out and be ready to support whom ever.
What are we doing here? Dissing our fellow black citizens from exercising their conscience by voting for whomever they choose? What if the great number of whites who are supporting Mr. Obama were using the same rationale that many of us are using would the brother be winning now? Think about it!
@ Rotten
Word
An extension of the Civil Rights movement my *****. Obama is another Washington puppet.
@ informed…”Just because a black person disagrees and doesn’t believe Obama is the best nominee for the Democratic party doesn’t automatically mean they have no pride in their race, they are uncle toms, or sellouts.”
________
To me, in “my” opinion, it does!! Because Obama is a brilliant young brother who IS worthy of the opportunity to run this country, I can’t for the life of me understand how any one with an iota of racial pride or integrity could in good conscience select Hillary over Obama. Mind you, that’s not the only reason to vote for him, he quite simply is the better nominee! If you have questions about his qualifications, examine his postions, go to his Web site and become even more “informed”.
On another note, the thing that runs through my mind is that even after emani*****tion and the opportunity to embrace freedom (change), a whole lot of slaves still chose to remain on the plantation!!
@ Ned,”exercising their conscience”?!?! Puhleeze, like I said, QUID PRO QUO in full effect!!
EXTENSION OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT? wtf?? then why is he silent on civil rights issues. where was he for Jena 6? New Orleans? I call BULL***** Obama.
just like in the slavery days. some blacks can’t stand to see one of there own do better than them. we should be backing Mr. Obama just like the white folks back there own. we need to get these old uncle toms out of office, they still have that slave man mantality…
The audacity of bossip and these *****s!!! Sheila Lee was out fighting for the Jena Six yet she’s an old school civil rights negroe? wow black people are incredibly stupid.
Barack Obama has the support of non-whites because they see/feel his brilliance, and are inspired to act.
People of color support Barack Obama because they see/feel his brilliance, and are inspired to act.
The fact that he looks like ‘us’ is secondary.
Moral of story:
Brilliance carried the day in a civilized society.
To the Clinton’s:
Thanks for the service! But it’s now time for a new day, the dawn of an era which will possibly heal the broken wing of the American Eagle.
Obama 2008
Robert Johnson, Andrew Young, John Lewis, Sheila Lee Jackson, and Charles Rangel = poverty pimps
People say that Obama is too young, obviously are not into history, because some of the greatestmen in history were young men. alexander the great, a man that ruled with a dagger and the Odessey. It’s not about age it’s about being a natural born leader. How dare someone say because he’s still young, he won’t be able to fight for the people. Wouldn’t you want someone young and fresh, and energized to run the country, because he’s not tarnished by politics. And I always thought that the old would want someone they could mold. But then again, Obama is a maveric, in the sense that he’s fighting against the powers that be. When he’s talking about change, and making people take notice, about not having any respect for special interest groups, and calls Hillary on that, of course the old politicans will be upset. The revolution is coming, and they are scared, but the one thing that these politicians need to realize is that , the people, the m*****es, the voters, young people never forget being double-crossed. Trust, they are jumping on the Clinton bandwagon now, but wait the tides will turn, and it’s not going to be pretty. Like people are saying, Obama has a movement behind him, people will act a clown, with we feel he is being wronged. I, pray that whatever they do, they are prepared for the fallout.
well, now he knows how hil feels when robert kennedy endorse him, and not her, when they were friends taking vacations together and ish….so please….
Nope that is YOUR SLAVERY mentality rearing its ugly head thinking I don’t want a black person to do better than.
Guess there are plenty of them that are and it doesn’t bother me or my conscience one bit. I say go ahead and you as well as you can. I’m not even hating on Obama and I don’t think they are either. They just are making a different choice.
That is their right isn’t it?
And to whomever said was Obama on Jena6, New Orleans and a host of other issues that affect black people, you got a big right on from me on that. He hasn’t stuck his neck out for anyone or anything during 2 years in the Senate. Believe me, I understand why that is, but he hasn’t done anything to pin himself down. He hasn’t had time to create a real history. And also he voted “present” over 100 times so he would not take a stand on tough issues.
Come on people, let’s really get our voices heard, send letters, emails, go on the radios, t.v.s and let’s tell them that we demand change.
Clinton cut welfare, put more blacks in jail, and you want to support him and his wife? I have no respect for that, sorry, but blacks did not progress under the Clinton administration.
Obama don’t get the nom, I’m voting John McCain.
Well I am definitely down to start the movement to put Maxine Waters ***** out on the street. Wit that damn annoying fake british accent she can go join Jeffrey cleaning houses in Bel-Air since she like white folks so much.
Maybe he was silent on Jena 6 because he wanted to be. Look at all those supporters who supported Jena 6, and those kids are acting like what? Didn’t they have a video online where those kids are rolling around on a bed on the money. Didn’t one just got arrested for *****ault or something? He should have said something, he should have said: People worldwide supported you and believed in you, risked their reputations for you, and you boys repay them by doing this. I feel your pain, and frustration about the tragedy that happen in Jena, but instead of making a negative into a positive, you wasted a perfect opportunity to better your community , race relations by acting immaturely”. Now, if you want I will be a mentor, and give you guidance, because you obviously need it.
Go Clinton!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.obamatruth.org
And Ron Paul IS NOTHING NEW. In fact we had the type policies (in other words no policies) that got us the Great Depression. He is a Libertarian and anti-government and is also anti-regulations that protect the people from being preyed by on business.
I’m surprised by how many folks this guy has fooled.
Bohwe,
Welfare should be cut. Some blacks have spent generations on welfare and have no plans on getting off welfare. The Clintons did a great thing when they cut welfare. They also implemented madatory job training to welfare families. You probably weren’t affected, but people on welfare were shaking in their boots. The best thing about public *****istance is getting off of public *****istance. Peace. http://www.obamatruth.org
Well he got the Kennedy’s backing him, and trust and believe Ted Kennedy and the clan, has more power in front and behind closed doors than the Black Caucas, who only come out to complain about injustice. So in that respect, having the Kennedy’s as allies is so much better at the end of the day, than black Senators.
At this point, if Clinton gets the nomination, and if anyone becomes President, I hope the Black Caucas don’t expect any respect from the black community, because it won’t be there.
We only have 1 black Senator in the country and that is Barack Obama. Those people you are downgrading are from the House of Representatives.
People really should dig deeper into politics instead of just the headlines.
black people will always ride for the white man first in this case the white woman
they some self-hating negroes. sellouts. next!
Oroville…Bill Clinton was 46 when he was elected POTUS, so really age has nothing to do with them giving their support to Hillary Clinton. The old black guard is truly afraid of change and still feel that a kind benevolent M*****a Charlie or Charlene is what black folks need instead of realizing that white folks will never ever have black people’s best interest at heart. I love my people, but we got to realize that we have to do it ourselves and stop looking to the ‘white man’ for everything.
Anyhoo, folks have the right to vote for whomever they want. I just think some of the criticism the old black guard level against Obama are unfounded.
When Obama is our 1st Black President i cannot wait to see all of these BUTT WIPES trying to gather around him!! THEY will not have any more Respect from the BLACK COMMUNITY….
its amazing how you BOSSIP say that some “negroes” are making OBAMA’s win difficult – but what do you do everyday??? you bash black ppl and hate on everything black celebrities do..so with what moral do you come here and say that the bashing og black politicians is wrong?
LOL at “Negro mafia”
I’ll tell you, these old-school negroes have got to GO but watching black people turn out for Barack the way they have has been inspiring to me. We’re not listening to these old fools and when Barack wins they’ll realize that white people don’t take them seriously either.
@ tj
Maxine Waters…join Jeffery cleaning houses since she likes white folks so much. LOL.
@ I am/You are Barak Obama…
So eloquenty put. On point once again.
sorry about the typo
They talk and think as they themselves have forgetten our history let me remind them about
some of our womens in this country and make this
statement.Black women voters are rejecting Hillary Clinton because her ascendance is not a liberating symbol. Her tears are not moving. Her voice does not resonate. Throughout history, privileged white women, attached at the hip to their husband’s power and influence, have been complicit in black women’s oppression. Many African American women are simply refusing to play Mammy to Hillary.
The loyal Mammy figure, who toiled in the homes of white people, nursing their babies and cleaning and cooking their food, is the most enduring and dishonest representation of black women. She is a uniquely American icon who first emerged as our young country was trying to put itself back together after the Civil War. The romanticism about this period is a bizarre historical anomaly that underscores America’s deep racism: The defeated traitors of the Confederacy have been allowed to reinterpret the war’s battles, fly the flag of secession over state houses, and raise monuments to those who fought to tear down the country. Southern white secessionists were given the power to rewrite history even as America’s newest citizens were relegated to forced agricultural peonage, grinding urban poverty and new forms segregation and racial terror.
Anonymous,
Thank you for this information. I considered outside the box. I gave Ron Paul a listen. I thought he had good ideas and was revolutinary but this information about him I did not know and cannot overlook. My consideration of an progressive bipartisan Obama/Paul ticket is dead for me. I certainly hope Obama chooses a running mate who is at the very least anti-slavery.
OBAMA 2008!
YES HE CAN!
OBAMA 2008!
Let’s not forget that JFK was 43 when he was elected president, so let’s let go of the age issue. Furthermore, Obama has as much experience if not more than many of our previously elected presidents… Experience is what got us into the mess we’re in now.. so experience means somethiing, but let’s not make it seem that the man is totally clueless as to what needs to be done !!! These old school Negroes need to realize that they’re being played and taken for granted !!! I’m sure that they’re repaying some political debt or favor, but let’s face it.. what have any of them done for us lately ??? They don’t speak for me, they don’t represent me and they surely haven’t done much to help anyone other than themselves !!! Take a stand and vote for someone that can bring us together, not divide us !!! We’ve had a Bush or Clinton in the White House since 1988, it’s time for some serious change and you know Obama is under the attack because Clinton thought she would just cakewalk her ***** to the White House and along comes someone who has her shaking in her boots and can potentially win this thing !!! GO OBAMA !!!
I truly hope Obama wins, but if we as Black people vote for somone simply because they are black we will make the plight of our ancestors not worth anything at all. If everyone who ran for President were Black, we’d vote for the best candidate. If we vote someone in who can’t make a difference then we’ve lost, but it’s ok because he’s Black. That will make it harder for future Black candidates to be elected because the national notion will be “blacks won’t pay attention to the inherent needs of this nation, they just want someone Black in office.” Black people we have to be careful with this race *****. Martin didn’t die for that *****, our ancestors didn’t die for that *****. Race was never an issue until our people were forced over here generations ago. It was the magnitude of our character that made us who we were. And like I said a couple days ago, what makes anyone think this country will let a man named Hussein end the war in Iraq? It’s *****ed up, but we saw that when Bush stole the presidency, actual votes will never matter. The electoral college operates off a secret order that we the American people will never be able to control.
And before I forget, I bet all of you who are calling the Old Civil Rights heas a “mafia” carry the same last name p*****ed down from your family’s Slave Masters long ago. Now how’s that for *****in change people…wake up!! Can Obama change that? I didn’t think so.

Everyone is putting their energy into convincing the few (10-20%) blacks that support Clinton to change to Obama. People are going to have to agree to disagree. If Obama wins the nomination, I am definitely going to support him. For those that are going to vote for McCain instead of Clinton if she wins, waah waah poor baby, grow up. BTW Bill Clinton was young when he was elected but he had executive experience by being the govenor of Arkansas for 10 years. John F Kennedy also had 10 of congressional experience. To all of those that are sooo inspired by his speeches of hope and unity, too bad those thoughts originate form a 26 year old white guy. Do your research.
@ Joseph
Speak!
Finally someone else on this board calling out WHITE women/feminist/liberal racism and hypocrisy.
COMPLICIT with black women’s oppression is an understatement!
White women can and certainly enjoy being active engaged oppressors of black people, and they especially feel they have dominion over black women.
Oh, I’m so glad people are seeing these white women BILLARY crocodile tears for what they are, a manipulative load of crap.
Two words why I would never vote for HILLARY BUSH, Emmit Teel. White women like Billary who manipulate race and play victim are not capable of leading this black woman or her children. She’s also so desperate for her husband’s favor and affection. If it was back in the day she Hillary comes across like the kind of white woman who would say a black man raped her to get her husband’s attention or to win a vote.
OBAMA!!!TES HE CAN!!!
OBAMA 2008!!!
I forgot to mention, if people feel so strongly for Obama, volunteer for his campaign and try to convince more Hispanics, Asians, white women, and working cl***** folks to join his bandwagon. Stop focusing on the few blacks. He needs these other groups to win. Strategy gets one into the white house.
Oh yeah @ Just Sit And Be Pretty, I don’t have to defend my blackness to you. Unfortunately your ignorance in rationale is laughable (along with the many other comments in this thread). I don’t have emotional debates with people because everything is subjective. Stick to the facts and issues, sweetie.
YES HE CAN!!!
People, people, people – am I the only one who believes it has taken us 40 years to get another Dr. King. Obama represents to me everything Dr. King dreamed of. I believe Dr. King, Obama’s parents and a hold host of civil rights activists gone to glory have longed to see this day and I bet they are shaking their fingers at John Lewis, Andrew Young, Maxine Waters and Charles Rangel. The main people who have preached to us about trying to be equal in an unfair world turn out to be the same people who decide to ride the unfair train. I am telling you, if Obama loses because of the popular vote, there isn’t one of these old civil rights activist that could say ish to me – I wouldn’t want to hear it. And if Obama is so green and so inexperienced, how could he have the blessings of someone more qualified than Bush to be president – Colin Powell. Yes, Colin Powell is very impressed with Barack Obama and to me – that says it all about the young man. He is poised, intelligent, ready and destined – HE JUST HAPPEN TO BE BLACK and I for one am OK with that……..

Black people are just as dangerous as white people or any person for that matter. No one is saying not to support Obama if that is who you support.
But stop with all of this coon *****, gang up on people who are choosing to support someone else in the primaries we happen to believe her qualified. I think most of us will support Barack if he is the nominee. No doubt about it.
But don’t psychoanylyze these other great black people by calling them negros, house *****s, mammies and other offensive.
Most of you are black and this is how you talk about these great people? Its disgusting and it shows disrespect.
Now this may be news to all of you especially the kiddies but no one owns me or my mind BUT ME. And the same is true for you and those black Congresspeople you are dissing.
I’ll tell you the same as I tell the white people on news sites I frequent. You got 1 vote same as me! I just can’t believe the modern day black American has come down to this. Hateful and trying force peoples’ vote.
You may see it but it is thoroughly disgusting as well as alarming. Dr. King was fighting for equality for all which is still a work in progress. But the idea is the best should get the position, the promotion, etc not for favors, and not for their race.
Keep at it with the inflammatory talk. You don’t respect ***** from the past or present.
OBAMA = HILLARY
HILLARY = OBAMA
OBAMA IS ANOTHER NEW WORLD ORDER PROPONENT.
OBAMA WILL NOT CHANGE ANYTHING – BELIEVE THAT!
See for yourself if you’re willing to think for yourself:

Black sheeple need to wake up!
TO ME, RACE IS AN ISSUE!
Here’s Why:
Many of our Young Black Youth do not finish High School.
Many of our Young Black Youth think that they will not live to see 25 years of age.
Many of our young Black Youth thinks the current measure of success is to “Go Pro”, become a Rapper,(THANKS BET) or a “Fast Money Street Business Person”, (Y’all know the type of corner boys/girls I am talkin bout) in order to make it.
HERE is a Viable, Intelligent, and Capable Brother that I Truly believe can get things done to make this Country right again.
If the By-Product of this is a change in the Measure of Success of some of the Young Black Youth referenced above, then Yeah, Its about Race for Me!
Just because the guy is black does not mean he’s going to have your best interest at heart.
People don’t understand the importance of foreign policy and how it can make or break a country!
Our ultra imperialistic foreign policy is that’s causing the domestic problems at home right now!
All of our resourcs are being drained in foreign policy!
Sadly, Obama supports that type of foreign policy!
He wants to get us out of Iraq by 2013! And even that he can’t promise!
Stop being sheeps and utilize some critical thinking for once! Damn!
youtube.com/watch?v=UNdHd3TXruc
CLINTON
BUSH
OBAMA
MCCAIN
ROMNEY
HUCKABEE
ALL THE SAME!
Nah nah why do you *****ume all black people want to withdraw from Iraq immediately an irresponsibly as you seem to advocate. If Obama held your radical views I wouldn’t vote for him and neither would anyone else. So your dissent is really a credit to his viability on the nationally apreciated litmus test of withdrawal. The rule is You govern from the center and advocate from the fringes.
He is older than Bill Clinton was at the time he became president and John Kennedy. So to say he is not ready is not true. I think they are not ready. That is the problem. I think that these people are making shady and underhanded deals that will affect the communities they represent in a very bad way for not being lambs and being led the way they told us to go. You wait and see.
Isn’t that racist of Obama? Expecting blacks to vote for him, maybe women should vote for Hilary and white men should vote for McCain, everyone else just home.
This is bull, Obama wouldn’t say that *****. Just the media ruining the moment.
It was the New York Times that originally published the piece, not Newsweek. Somehow I don’t think any cares about these sort of inaccuracies.
honestly nahnah. What have you changed? why don’t you go out and advocate for your beliefs, start rallies, make people more aware, make the government more aware, start a revolution. Talk is cheap. You obviously like hearing the sound of your own voice.
THe new york times already endorsed hillary clinton, so every excerpt has to be looked at with a biased eye. at this point the times will say and do anything to destroy Obama. that would be fine if he was involved in file gate, white gate, and water gate like the evil clintons but he’s just an ordinary politician trying to accomplish extra ordinary things.
you know it funny, if it was the other way around and clinton won all 10 primaries and caucuses in february people would have pressured obama to bow out the race gracefully or pack it up, but because the clinton establishment has been bought and paid for the media, and slick politicians are still giving her a fighting chance.
Barack is thinking on a whole new level. He is appealing to most people because he speaks of change and Human Rights. If Human rights were respected there would be no need for Civil Rights.
Enter stage left the crabs (Rangle and Sharpton).
He is basically endangering the livelyhood of these people who built their careers on Civil Rights. Barack becoming president would be the epitome of Civil Rights at its finest…so why are these crabs trying to drage him down? Because in the long run…he is eliminating Civil Rights and replacing it with Human Rights.

You’re an idiot, so I will ignore you.

I never said all black people want troops out of Iraq, because, unlike yourself, I am fully aware of the fact that not all black people don’t think alike. And it’s pretty obvious many black people, such as yourself, don’t think at all – and rely on the media to do all the thinking for you.
HOWEVER, Obama is running on the platform of an ANTI-WAR CANDIDATE – so his ***** as is a liar. And, yes, that’s the same “war”(how do you fight a people without a military, anyway?) that the vast majority of Americans are AGAINST.
And why wouldn’t we want our troops out of Iraq?
Don’t you now it’s now an undisputed fact that we went into Iraq under FALSE PRETENSES?
Don’t you know it’s now an undisputed fact that the current administration falsified docoments and broke many laws in order to make further their
We live in a country with laws, and they must be followed. The president does not have the authority to do as he pleases. And while he may overstep his boundaries, it’s up to the people of the United States to put him in check.
All of our efforts are going abroad, to continue an imperialistic mission that will continue to hurt the average American.
Again, why wouldn’t any sane person call for an end to this imperialistic ‘war’ of conquest?
Oh, and isn’t Obama running as a ‘change’ president? Yeah, fool – people are drawn to him because of his fake ***** change rhetorics, right?
Face it: You’re a brainwashed American who’s already admitted to Barack being FULL OF *****. Howevever, you’re willing to vote for ‘the lesser of evils’. Well, all you’re doing is admitting that YOU’RE VOTING FOR EVIL.
Keep up the good work, SHEEP.
Here is another POV:
“Wake up, folks. It was reported yesterday that one of Obama’s speechwriters is Ben Rhodes, the brother of Fox News VP David Rhodes, who has been with this rightwing network since 1996. If you recall, it was the news division at Fox (which Rhodes heads) that called the 2000 race for Bush in Florida while everyone else was citing exit polls showing Gore in a significant lead. How did Fox know the vote count would deviate so much? Because the network was part of the Karl Rove rigging scam. And the G.O.P. is rigging the Democratic primaries now with this phony campaign of Messianic Obama. Where do you think he got his nearly $200 million since 2005 – from all the little people? Clinton cannot overcome the m*****ive Republican crossover vote supporting Obama, their deep pockets, and the corporate media trashing her daily, while pumping him up.
When Karl Rove finally succeeds in getting Obama on the Democratic Pres/VP slate, then we’ll see 1) his “independent” ticket enter the race, 2) the media do a 180 on Obama, bringing out all the do*****ents tying him to Chicago slumlord Tony Rezko (whose trial begins soon). That will sway voters in the general election to 3) hand the White House back to the conservatives for four more years. At which 4) Blacks will blame it all on the Clintons.”

As a young black woman, I have to say this. Not factoring in race (yet) I have to say what makes anyone qualified to be in politics in the first place? College degree? Ability with words? Money? What qualifies anyone to be in politics. If you say that Obama isn’t ready to lead this country because of his youth, then you have to ask what makes the older people more qualified, besides experience. What made them qualified to be in politics in the first place?
Now for the race factor, if those old Civil Rights folks and whatnot want to back Hillary, I am not going to be mad at them, but I am disappointed that they strived for a moment like this- a Black man in America running for President- and they are going to potentially ***** on him because he isn’t putting money in their pockets. Shame. It really is.
I’m wondering if anyone on here has actually listened to what is being said by ALL of the candidates? Are you all voting for Obama because you feel that he is the “BEST” candidate? Or is your vote motivated because he is the “BLACK” candidate.
I am a Black female; 44 years old; well educated, with TWO Masters degrees.
I love to hear Obama give speeches. I love to listen to him at rallies; but when a question is directed at him during a debate, he gets flustered too quickly.
I would love to know that if he wins, it is because we felt that he was the most qualified, and not because we are trying to make history with a Black president.
Over the last few months, I’ve asked several “Obama Supporters” why they are supporting him. All of the answers started out the same. “He has a lot of good ideas.” “He has a lot of good policies.” “He wants change for America.” That’s all fine and good, until I ask them to elaborate and give me an example of how he plans to do these things or what are some of his ideas. They couldn’t, because he couldn’t. Of course the conversations always end up the same…they want to see a Black man as President. So do I. I would love to see that in my lifetime.
As a military wife, I question his ideas of how this war should end. I didn’t agree with our troops going over there. I come from a military family. My father was in the Air Force; father-in-law–Army; two brothers–Army; one brother–Marines; two first cousins–Navy; several uncles–Army.
My husband has retired, after serving 24 years active duty in the Army, but we have two son-in-laws that are still on active duty, one of whom was injured and almost killed in Afghanistan. We lost friends and co-workers in the first war, as well as this one, so we understand quite well what is at stake.
It is easy to say how we should stop the war and bring our troops home. This is where Obama lets his inexperience show. His ideas and timelines of ending the war are ridiculous at best.
This is a forum where African Americans could show others that we are able to have an intelligent dialogue about politics, WITHOUT the race card.
I am so sick of reading all of the comments that your bloggers, and/or editors are writing about the so-called “Civil Rights vs. Human Rights” generations. Just as you have the freedom of choice, so does everyone else. Stop downing people, such as Maya Angelou, Maxine Waters, and others, simply because they are voting for Hillary Clinton. Maybe it’s because they are LISTENING, and not letting their vote be motivated by race.
I encourage and challenge all of you to listen, not to what the media is reporting, because that is certainly going to be distorted. Don’t listen to the spouses of the candidates, or celebrity supporters…their opinion will be biased. Listen to the candidates, and make an educated choice for yourselves. Hopefully, it is an informed choice…not one based on race.
@ Nah Nah
You said “Wake up black sheeple” and then referenced troop withdrawal and funding. As if black people havea particuliar or uneven stake in troop withdrawal.
Also Obama has always said he would never take military action off the table so how is he claiming to be anti war. You can be pro-diplomacy without being a complete pacifist.
I’ll ignore your ignorant tirade because I have better things to do. But terrorist cells must be disbanded and can not be given a safe haven in a chaotic defenseless Iraq.
nahnah your an idiot, and every bossip reader knows your an idiot.

Barack hasn’t had file gate and water gate and white gate and possible murder looming over his political career so how does he even come close to being the lesser evil….
Hillary is evil because people have facts to back up her evilness. research her scandals, research ron brown, research white gate, file gate, water gate, vince foster…..
Barack’s talk of change brought about more than 180 legislative bills to p***** in illinois by uniting democrats and republicans.
Barack talked his way into the senior senate seat, talked his way to reform ethics in the committee, talked of bringing awareness and did bring awareness to the plight of darfur 2 years ago
WHILE…you talk from both sides of your mouth
Barack’s talk of CHANGE brings about ACTIONS.
————————————–
Now you can ignore me. goodnight.
@ anon
honestly nahnah. What have you changed? why don’t you go out and advocate for your beliefs, start rallies, make people more aware, make the government more aware, start a revolution. Talk is cheap. You obviously like hearing the sound of your own voice.
……..
Nah Nah is one of those who likes to backseat drive the change others are trying to make instead of supporting any movement. Really she’s just lazy and will use any excuse not to get involved. She holds liberal views but wants to complain about Obama because he funded the war, nevermind the fact that not doing so would put troops in danger, and in many cases result in cutbacks in military benefits. Her whole jig is just to be -anti- anything and proclaim herself intelligent and free thinking without stopping to consider maybe everyone else is right and she’s wrong.
@ TJ
You and I and millions of people know the sky is blue but nahnah will say it’s green or fuscia just to prove she has the ability to think…..
@ Anonymous
LOL
She’ll probably say the sky was put there by the government so we can’t see the aliens that are really behind the war in Iraq. NAH NAH is the only one who REALLY knows about all of this. We just can’t think for ourselves and are too dumb to see.
As I’ve said before she either thinks herself to be a superior intellect or a more informed citizen than Oprah, Barack, and really every person involved with government and media if she truly believes these conspiracy theories about Iraq 911 troop withdrawal etc.
NOW THAT is laughable.
I JUST VOTED FOR OBAMA!!! REPPIN VA!!!
Good lord. Julian Bonds is an *****hole. Did y’all just hear? he just equated what happened in Michigan and Florida with the delegates not being seated for Hillary Clinton … with racial discrimination and racial voter disenfranchisement! Check this out, an excerpt from a KSLA article posted by socalover a poster at DU under the title ‘Blacks and the Crabs in the Bucket Syndrome”:
——————————
NAACP chairman Julian Bond is expressing “great concern” at what he says is the prospect that millions of voters in the two states could “have their votes completely discounted.” And he says the refusal to seat the delegations could remind voters of “racially discriminatory primaries.”
Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign has pushed hard for both states’ delegations to be seated. She won both primaries, and was the only candidate to appear on the Michigan ballot.
————————————
Get the ***** out of here!
Meanwhile, Obama wins Virginia — huge. Check this out from CNN:
Obama:
58% of all women
59% of voters who earn less than %50K
62% of union families
80% of voters under 30
67% of voters under 45
52% of voters OVER 60
90% of black voters (who make up 29% of Virginia’s voter base)
49% of white voters
“We haven’t seen that happen this strikingly before, and this in a Southern state,” said CNN senior political *****yst Bill Schneider.
“He was the winner among respondents who said the economy, the Iraq war or health care — a trademark issue for Clinton — was the most important issue to them. Clinton did take an overwhelming 96 percent of the support from voters who said experience was the most important quality a candidate should have….”
And for anybody thinking this was a Republican scam:
only 8% of those who voted in Virginia were Republican — but 70% of them voted Obama
Independents (many of whom are Democrats as well as Republicans) made up 21%……… and voted for Obama by 66%.
Obama stole Hillary’s base — in Virginia. We’ll see what happens in Texas.
Oh, and his sister Maya is a hottie. She’s working hard for her brother in Hawaii, which is coming up. She’s a teacher married to a Chinese Canadian. She sounds very grounded. Unfortunately, according to the NYT, she had to learn spanish because everyone *****umed she was Latina.
That’s disturbing to me. They’re gonna make a fine First Extended Family.
And Julian, again, needs to sit his ***** down.
@ Ebony Eyes,
respectively, then tell Hillary Clinton’s supporters to stop playing that race card. If your support has to be bought, if chits have to be paid, if your loyalty is of the Bush-clan variety.. to me, your support is indeed suspect.
What Julian Bond just did this afternoon is HORRIBLE, and a complete backhanding of TRUE voter disenfranchisment. He has nothing to say about what went down in New Hampshire, and what went down in Nevada with its 1600+ reports of voter disenfranchisement…. but he has something to say about Michigan, where people were willing to get out in the cold to vote for ‘Uncommitted’ and Kucinich instead of Hillary Clinton, and Florida — where Obama and Edwards tried to remove their names from the ballot, but Hillary didn’t give a *****.
Hillary Clinton is advocating the kind of bull***** you see in banana republics and third world fake democracies. Julian Bond is down with that? I’ll admit, I’ll have to look up what he had to say before Hillary got *****ed off she was losing to an uppity negro who wasn’t going to wait his turn. Because I admit, what may be reported may not be the entire truth… he may have disagreed with Howard Dean and the DNC trying to punish Michigan and Florida for jumping the gun, all along. But we’ll see.
If he ain’t… please, Ebony Eyes, please reconsider what’s going down with Clinton supporters who are old guard. It has to be a damn good candidate for one to swallow the race baiting that the Clintons have pulled, and used blacks to pull for them. I don’t see Hillary Clinton as *that* good of a candidate.
Do you?
Ebony Eyes – excellent post.
nah nah- I don’t advocate in action, but you are at least thinking outside the box.
I’m wondering if Obama is part of the plan to derail Clinton and hand the Presidency back to the Republicans that his people are tied to Fox news but publicly he won’t deal with them on the up and up.
It could be an elaborate ruse on the people and we get 4 mores years of Republican mess and no accountability.
He told the Dems he wouldn’t run in 2008 since he would just have 2 years in the Senate. But he did anyway.
Anyway, I wish him well and hope that he is not taking the American People for a ride.
Nah Nah’s not an idiot. She has a different point of view, and is a plant. That’s different.
Remember in slavery days there were uncle toms who where comfortable being slaves, and got other slaves in trouble who wanted to run away. Why does it seem like black folks are their own worst enemies…jealous and hating on each other’s success? These old school politicians are all haters. They don’t want to see another black person rise higher than them. I even heard the NAACP president is trying to help Hilary under the table by asking the DMC to include Florida votes. Of all organizations, the NAACP helping a white woman over a black man! The NAACP don’t support black interests, they support their own interests.
by the way, to Ebony, thank you and your husband for your service to the country… and everybody else here who is military.
@ Anonymous
Has anyone seen Primary Colors? It’s not just a movie. It’s the truth about Billary and their evil.
How is Obama an extension of the civil rights movement? What has this Black man done for the Black community? What injustices has he spoke out against? And as you can recall, there were many in 2007.
Just because you’re Black, it doesn’t automatically make you an activist.
My question to you Mr. Obama is… As a Black woman living & working in America…. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME….. EVER???
LUCKILY FOR OBAMA, MOST AMERICANS-BLACK AND WHITE-HAVE NO IDEA WHO JOHN LEWIS, SHEILA JACKSON LEE, OR ANY OF HIS OTHER NAMED OPPONENTS ARE….NOR DO THEY CARE
***** Obama, he’s a crook along with his wife Michelle, they’re exploiting blacks and the poor while lining their pockets. Don’t be fooled by the matrix. I voted for Hills today. http://www.obamatruth.org
Ebony Eyes, you are wasting your time. Everyone is basically saying they are voting for Obama because he’s Black…. ridiculousness at its finest. A bunch of SHEEP looking for a leader to tell them what to do & how to feel
Opinion Distributor wrote, “My question to you Mr. Obama is… As a Black woman living & working in America…. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME….. EVER???”
- He married his wife.
- He’s faithful to his wife (meaning, if there were hoes of the Rielle Hunter variety or Monica variety or even situations like Paula Jones or Gennifer Flowers, they would have been brought up by now).
- He is a father — an involved father — to his two little girls.
- He is involved in the Church.
- He is a community activist.
- He puts community service before wealth.
- He is respectful of his mother, his grandmothers, his indonesian sister and his kenyan sister and their families.
- He does not live off his female family members, like a parasite.
- He has put education before sports.
- He has been down the dark road of drugs, and quit both *****e as a youth (which friends in his past say has apparently been blown up out of proportion anyway) and nicotine as an adult.
- He makes his own time.
What he has done for you is not of the material world; but of the active world and metaphysical world. He is providing a powerful, and powerfully positive, example for your sons and brothers and nephews. He is providing a powerful, and powerfully positive, example for people to view your sons and brothers and nephews through.
He is providing black women with an example of the kind of man we should be uplifting and supporting. Brothers all the time talk about how black women support the ‘wrong kind of man’.
So far, Obama is not that wrong kind of man. So far.
His life, and how he’s lived it, is what he’s doing for you, Opinion Distributor. And the best part is, is that the favor can be returned in the exact same way — with no chit or owing or bookkeeping involved, just living life to the best one can live life and providing a positive example while doing so.
But to continue opinion distributor, if you’re looking for policy, go to his website. I have no idea where you fit on the political spectrum… so your ideas about abortion/woman’s right to choose, his support of sex education with condom education over abstinence-only, his support of gay unions as well as heterosexual unions, his successful fight for earned income credits for families might not be his ideas about what he can best do for you personally.
Maybe you agree with the Christian Post article on Obama being anti-family, where they write in amazement of this ‘inexperienced’ (as the Hillary people want to call him) junior senator,
———————-
“Obama has only been in the U.S. Senate for three years, but his Illinois record is extremely liberal, according to (Tony) Perkins, (president of the influential Washington-based Family Research Council) who was a former Louisiana state legislator. The FRC head further contended that the Illinois senator is so liberal that he challenges the establishment of the Democratic Party.
“He is to the left of Hillary Clinton, that is maybe why he isn’t talking about the issues,” Perkins noted.
——————————
Or maybe you disagree with him saying that he would meet with Venezuela, with Cuba, with Syria, with Iran, instead of merely nuking them and/or ignoring their leaders out of hand. Perhaps you feel he’s too radical in that case, or too naive.
Or maybe it’s just about the economy, which circles back to earned income credits in Illinois; to his grand idea of $4000 student grants so that everyone who wants to go to college or community college or whatever can seek higher secondary education; to his making healthcare mandatory for children while *not* making health insurance mandatory for all adults regardless of income or else wages are garnished and tax penalties are put into place. I don’t know how he’s going to do those last two, myself, frankly I don’t personally see them as doable, but it’s interesting that someone is mentioning universal higher education as well as healthcare. Someone is thinking about it, and that someone is Obama.
He’s not talking reparations.
What do *you* want him to focus on, Opinion Distributor? There’s more at his website. What do you seek of him? What do the other candidates offer that you prefer, instead (and that’s fine, if you’ve researched)?
More news: Al Permed Out Sharpton just *****slapped Julian Bonds by saying that the civil rights issue was *seating* the delegates, and that it would be a a disenfranchisement of voters to do so since not everyone was on the ballot in Michigan, and there was no campaigning in Florida.
A lot of people are saying that Al just knows which way the wind blows and wants to hop on the bandwagon before it leaves him beyond.
Meanwhile, according to a cut and paste by Seattlite over at DKos, Hillary says:
—————————
“I think that both Michigan and Florida should count, because these are two states we have to carry,” she said. “This is not about so much as the ins and outs of the Democratic National Committee as to whether the Democrats are going to win in the fall.
“In Michigan, all of us had a chance to leave our names on the ballot – I chose to do so,” she continued. “My opponents ran a very vigorous campaign to get people to vote ‘uncontested.’ There was a campaign going on – it was a campaign against me, and I still won a majority.
“I think that the Democratic Party has to be looking very realistically about what it is we’re trying to achieve here. We need to win in November. … I think that both in Michigan and in Florida, the Democratic Party should really give these people who came out and voted – they weren’t involved in the rulemaking. Give them a chance.”
—————————–
It’s hard to believe that Hillary would actually that first line attributed to her. Michigan and Florida have to count because those are the two states ‘we have to carry’? Who the ***** is ‘we’?
Then there’s the rest. Hillary’s sense of entitlement is mindblowing.
She had no problem whatsoever — NONE — with Michigan and Florida being left out, because (I believe) she was sure they were going to count anyway. She was the Inevitable. Now, though, she needs those delegates. Too many news sources are putting Obama ahead of Hillary without super delegates, and now there are reports Obama is ahead with superdelegates. I don’t know what’s going on — but the Clintons are in free-fall because of it.
CNN called Obama the frontrunner, officially, tonight. I do believe he’s won every primary. Again.
I’m digging the idea of having a re-caucus/re-primary in both Michigan and Florida. Michigan and Florida should be heard….. they should be heard fairly, though. Hillary Clinton dismissing the power of ‘uncommitted’… wow. Who else is she going to dismiss, instead of reach out towards? Besides blacks, I mean.
Nita,
Well put… thank you.
We have to remember, some of these older blacks have never had a qualified African American run for President of the U.S.
They probably thought deep in their hearts, that he would have long dropped out of this race. So, they went with who they know-Hillar and Bill.
I can’t blame them-dance with the one that brung you. Unfortunately, this is a new era. Obama is an educated man, well qualifed to lead this country. Many Americans across all racial and ethnic lines support him-$35 million in January.
I wouldn’t want these old fighters in Obamas’ camp. They have a be careful mindset; don’t push the white man too far; know your place.
Obama is attempting to once and for all show all of America, including us-and many already know this, that we are just like any other race in this world. We are not inferior to anyone.
This is a man that was educated in one of Americas’ top univerisites. He is no idiot. He knows well his capabilities. He knows well that he has been blessed by God with his intelligence. He has chosen to help his fellow country man with the gifts God gave him.
I support Obama because I did the work to find out who he is and what exactly he stands for. He was not my first choice. I’m glad I took the time to get to know his platform. That said, I don’t see anything wrong with voting for someone who is of your race. Many of the white people I work with will vote for anyone white. They don’t care if Mccain will have their sons and grandsons drafted for his planned 100-year war with Iraq.
Obamas consistently promises he will end this war in his first year in office. He never sways from that promise. His health care plan wont’ force those of us who can afford ours into a mandatory social care plan. Does anyone have Canandian relatives?. Ask them how long it takes for an appointment with a doctor. I agree those who can’t afford health care should be provided a low-cost option. Those of us who are happy with our plan will get decreased costs.
I like his focus on finally ending our addiction on oil. We gave the world cars; electricity; air-conditioning; airplanes, tv, the personal computer to name a few things. Surely, we can develop technologies that will end our need for gas-operated autos, we are a nation of inventors of all races.
Obama ‘08.
To all you Obama vs Clinton haters think about this for just one moment. Obama has the momentum of a movement on his side. The people are speaking and that is democracy at work. Obama is killing it in the polls and the repubs don’t want to see him go up against McCain. Hillary is simply old news and McCain is too old. He is a patriot but after the Dynasty of the Bush/Clintons that has destroyed our nation to near bankruptcy, people need more.
If you think that American doesn’t have enemies then you are just plain silly. We have to defend our country and we have to end the war. Obama isn’t saying suck all the troops out of Iraq like a va*****m, he is saying end the war. He is the best candidate to bring about a cohesive country that isn’t about republicans or democrats but about the people and that is why he is the best candidate. We collectively need to focus on our country and rebuild it. Think
just like black folks to talk down on each other in stead of leding a hand and sending out words of encouragement, if they truly didnt believe in what he was representing as far issues i would understand, but its not that, y dont one of them run since “he’s not ready”, who are they to say if someone else is ready, if he gets to office then we all will see, sometimes u just gotta take chances in life
anonymous great post! (12:42 am)
Julian Bond’s statements come at the same time Hillary has added Maggie Williams to her campaign staff. They are trying to gain leverage in the black community in order to gain the social capital (or street cred) if you will to mount an intense attack against Obama and minimize any blowback in the black community.
They’re going to try and say “It’s not us trying to steal the election from a black man. We have black people who say the same thing we do. It’s not a race issue. Black people please vote for us in the general once we steal this primary”
It won’t work though. Too many congressional seats and Senate seats not to mention gubernatorial and state *****embly races would be placed in jeopardy by having a democratic nominee at the top of the ticket who is percieved to be illegitimate. When Barack wins the elected delegates the super delegates will fall in line.

@ Bossip
Thank you for publically exposing these civil rights frauds and *****s. I don’t care who owns Bossip, someone needs to expose these frauds and *****s.
I always knew these old school negroes didn’t give a rat’s butt about black people. I always knew these old school negroes were self-serving, elitist, and full of crap. But their anti-Obama campaign is a historical low.
A lot of us black people grew up being taught to revere and never question or challenge our leaders and celebrities who substitute as leaders. I’m still in shock that people are now aware of their phoniness. Because for years I couldn’t get a witness when I saw through their lies.
I always wondered why our elders did not roll their sleeves up and build homes, mentor youth directly, set up accessible community resources not just organizational fronts for tax purposes–but real outreach. I always wondered why we were always cheering these people on NAACP award show red carpets as they were not REALLY doing anything to CHANGE things.
We need to teach our children the truth about dishonest, false, greedy leaders who have sat by and let generations of black youth be destroyed.
Attending charity dinners with white women and holding ridiculous award shows. Producing self-hate tv, music, and media and imposing it on our young. Holding self-worshipping marches and events. Calling Billary “really black”.
And now this, attempting to murder the hope of our generation. It wasn’t enough to destoy us through their twisted self/black-hating media, no, it wasn’t enough to mislead us with false role models. No, they want to diminish the very spirit of black people.
I will never forgive these hateful backstabbing elders.
And I can’t wait until we have the opportunity to vote these hateful elders out of office and boycott their enterprises.
We need a intra-racial civil rights movement! They are violating Obama’s and our will and civil rights. We need to not ride heir buses, not buy their books, not see their movies, and not vote for them anymore.
If Billary steals this election, we better March on Washington.
OBAMA 2008!!!!
YES HE CAN!!!!
YES HE CAN!!!!
OBAMA 2008!!!!
Intellectual activism & Ignorance at it’s best. Can EVERYONE (including the Media) dispel the myth that Blacks are voting for Obama only because he’s blacks? Can Blacks that elect to support Hillary Clinton, McCain and especially Ron Paul please stop spewing that same rhetoric? If that was so true, Rev Jesse Jackson and/or Rev Al Sharpton would have received all of our votes when they were political candidates running for the Presidency. We are not a monolithic people that all think the same. If Maxine Waters, Charles Rangel, Maya Angelou, John Lewis or Julian Bond support Hillary Clinton, than that’s their perogative. It is your job to ensure that your elected officials support your community. Therefore, in the instance your political constituent fails to represent the views of the majority of the people that have placed them in that position, then vote to remove them in the next election. Also, its’ time for us to start a political movement. There are some very intellectually astute individuals in your local communities that need your help. Join a local campaign, join a political action committee, enlist unregistered citizens to vote and offer your services to make sure they can make it to the polls, do*****ent your ideas and solutions and submit them to a candidate you support. It’s great to engage in political dialogue on the web but let’s make changes in our communities. Introduce programs in the companies you work for to allow employees the opportunity to volunteer in their communities on a work day. We hear Barack Obama speak of change but we have to support change by acting. As the President of the United States, he can approve legislation that can implement changes in America but WE as citizens have to change our conditioned mentality and mindset. I am not supporting Barack Obama to “SAVE” the Black race, I am supporting him to take this nation to the next level. This country is failing and if the country is not progressing, none of us will progress. Obama is the first candidate that I have heard bring a fresh prespective on this nations ills. From advising the youth that we will invest in you to obtain higher education if you in turn will invest in your country by volunteering in your community to mandating all children receive quality healthcare. He is not facetiously saying that he can ensure all Americans have healthcare but he is saying that he will ensure all Americans have affordable healthcare (not mandated healthcare). At what point do we as Blacks/African Americans institute positive change in our daily lives and break the established routines that denigrate our communities. When do we feel it’s time to give back and help the next person or will we continue this Willie Lynch cycle of blatant individualism and self-destruction? We attend church as a ritual but fail to practice the teachings in our daily lives. Many of us think as individuals and not for the progression of our race. How many of you see an African American/Black that has suffered from bad choices and display a lack of direction and we offer them guidance and/or *****istance to help them reach the pinnacle of success? When Hurrican Katrina displaced thousands of your brothers and sisters, what did you do? When Sean Bell (NYPD killing), Megan Williams (West Virginia torture case), Jena 6 (yes, I said Jena 6 because racial injustice was the catalyst), Kathryn Johnston (Atlanta cops kill 88 yr old) incidents occurred, what did you do? It is time for us to make a committment to our race. If someone before you had not made a committment for the progress of our race, the ability to succeed in this country would not be an option for many of you. So, Stand Up! Invoke change in your life and P***** IT ON! Maybe we will all benefit in the end!
the bottom line is that *****s dont want *****s with what they dont have………..
I agree with Obama!
Obama 08!
Nah Nah scribbles:
>>tj:
Keep up the good work, SHEEP.<<
Nah Nah is a (head) case in point that some people should just not have access to a computer. A person who wants to use the word “imperialist” in their written argument should also be able to put together a few paragraphs without atrocious grammar, spelling and use contractions that avoid contradiction.
I love how Nah Nah throws “critical thinking” in other posts, a concept which completely escapes her grasp, outside of her ability to cut and paste from her beloved Ron Paul Wiki page.
When she writes, she sounds like an ignorant clown,
and it’s so hilarious to read every once in a while. Good times, good times.
Run to the next cl*****es that teach remedial English and the fundamentals of public debate. You can’t run before you crawl…
*****ody takes your arguments seriously. You are a complete joke, but I am glad you are having fun typing on the little keys of your computer.
i don’t understand this sh*t. why are black folks trying to prevent this man from becoming president? yall have cried for years talking about there is always a white president and now the day has come for there to be a possible black president and black folks are saying that he’s not ready. all black *****f*ckaz need to stop hating and the the truth in who hillary is. i’m not basing my vote who his color or her gender.. listen to hillary’s words and see this b*tch is up to no good. if she wins i promise yall hell will break loose. yall think yall going somewhere with her but you’ll see the turmoil that the USA is gonna go through because of her. what bush did is going to be nothing compared to what hillary is going to cause the USA. yall keep on thinking clinton is the best way to go.. let me start packing my bags from now.. cause sh*t ain’t gon’ be pretty. f*ck hillary and bill too for tryna to fight her battles.. and f*ck those who vote for her.. die *****f*ckaz die.. lmao like pac says
I tell you one thing if it comes down to the super del. and they pick hillary instead of Obama (and Obama had more votes) we would have allowed another Geroge Bush to happen.
If the voiceof the people is not heard and only the wants of the government is heard; then our government are a bunch of hypocrits when it comes to democracy. If it does not owrk in our own country how are we goingto help Iraq/Iran establish their own.
If the voice of the people are ignored we should protest. and overthrow the government.
It is a shame that these old civil rights leaders would hate on a new movement but want us to respect them for their efforts. They won’t even support one of their own for the cause of real change. It’s like they are jealous of a black person getting way further ahead than they did. Some black folks are so used to getting hand outs form white that it will not change for them. We need more of the mid to younger crowd to change what our some of the older people let slide.
Stand for something or fall everything!!!!
White AmeriKKKa will never be ready for blackpeople to stand up and be strong. heck they are scared of us even whenwe are in the worst position so you know they don’t want to see us as a real power.
Shame even without violence there is black on black crime.
I do respect what the leaders did in the past but I want my children’s generation to respect what we do which is now!!!!!!
they are so scuuured, get these koons out Obama!,
@Obama you need to use Sam Cooke’s “a change gonna come.” that needs to be your jingle all the way in to the white house. they are so shook
I see the old guard as having been brainwashed by years of old school oppression. It’s a weird contradiction…they say they want equal rights but when the first black candidate has a credible shot at the presidency, they recoil in horror because they don’t think he’s ready…or is it because he’s not one of them? Many of them grew up in the South and have had their minds poisoned by racism. Barack represents a threat to everything they’ve had drilled into them. He didn’t go to an HBC such as Morehouse, didn’t pledge one of the black frats; rather, he grew up in Hawaii, was raised by Midwestern whites, went to Harvard Law School where he excelled, is beyond articulate, highly inspirational/charismatic, and importantly, never felt emotionally shackled by the stateside racism that the old guys have been stymied by all these years. He has no slaves in his lineage.
The old guard are also very political in terms of favors owed, etc., so they are ready to do whatever “m*****a” asks. Their upbringing (brainwashing) tells them that whites must always be in charge. They are really trying to put the immoral impeached Bill back in office, because how could they possibly think that Hillary is better qualified to do what needs to be done than Senator Obama? Hillary was the president’s wife, not the president…As a lawyer, she doesn’t even have the experience to be nominated to the Supreme Court. If she says she has 35 years of experience long enough, I’m sure she thinks people will believe her. The recent firings in her campaign are just what you’d see in her administration…a revolving door of blame. She wouldn’t take responsibility for a mistake if it killed her.
And finally, Barack didn’t ask them what they thought…so yes, they are indignant and determined to put the Clintons back in the White House…And pick up their earmarked checks for doing so. They will cry the day Barack becomes president and they won’t be tears of joy…
Net net, the old heads need to step aside and let history take its course. I believe anything is possible in this country and so does Sen. Obama. He’s not running as the black candidate…he’s running as the change candidate who is highly intelligent and capable…with or without them.
Obama ‘08!
If ILLARY cheats and ***** the nomination. I’M VOTING FOR McCAIN!!!!!
I won’t even sit home – I’ll DELIBERATELY RALLY to get her DEFEATED.
WORD!
I’m right with you Buster!
i heard the maker of this site aint even black i heard from a very good source that the bossip editor in chief(creator/blogger)IS a JEWISH ***** and im not bul*****ting, which would explain some of her corny ***** slang terms but if this is true than this ***** should fall back on black issuues this ***** sayin negro and talking about black people and ***** on a black site and shes not even black shes *****in jewish or white… can somebody say RASCIST
I don’t have anything against Obama. If he wins the nomination for president he will get my full support. I don’t believe he can win because there are so many bigots in our country who would never vote for an African-American person. If the Republicans win the general election because of this, we are stuck with four more years of Republicans. I don’t think any of us are willing to take that chance. We have already had eight years of President Clinton, and a good eight years it was. Mrs. Clinton promised she’ll reinstate everything back to the way it was before President Bush took office. When President Clinton took office for his first term, the economy was a wreck from George Herbert Bush, President Clinton and his administration hung notes in their offices saying “It’s the economy stupid” to remind themselves what the real problem was at that time. In no time flat the economy was up and running for a full eight years – we all did well. The Stock Market was yielding profits for the small investors as well as the rich ones. If those things that President Clinton put in place worked that well I can’t wait to get another Clinton in office.
I saw President Clinton take a huge deficit left over from George Herbert Bush and made it disappear. He left a large balance in the federal coffers that quickly disappeared after Bush took office. I can’t bear the thought of having four more years of Bush politics in America. Every four years I hear a multitude of promises from presidential candidates telling the American people what they are going to do for them. When they win and take office they find the problems at hand are not what they expected and they can’t fix them. When the President Clinton had the office before everything worked for the better. I am not willing to do another four year with a Republican president in office. Right now all Obama can give us is promises, I have lived through the polices of the Clintons for eight good years. To me everything thing else is only a crap-shoot. If Senator Obama gets the nomination for president I will fight to the death to get him in office. But until that time I am Hillary Clinton. It’s not just about race it’s about who can do the job the best according to reality.
“I did not have sex, with that woman, Monica Lewinsky”.
It makes no different what color your skin, how much money or education you have under your belt. The only power you have is that (1)one educated vote you cast at the poll on election day and your ability to get off your *****, and go out into the community and do something that will make a different. Unless you live in Florida like I do. A state where they don’t know how to count the votes and don’t know how to make the votes count!
Robert Johnson, Andrew Young, John Lewis, Sheila Jackson Lee, Magic Johnson, and Charles Rangel are just a hand full of people with a few more voices than you are I. The question is why and what did they do in life to earn this add power? They don’t support Obama because they have there own agenda. I personally don’t believe it has anything to do with the color of his skin or his gender. At least they have reached out in the communities and made a different. Who benefitted from that outreach depends on your point of view. I give them great respect for what they have accomplished in life but I give them no power over how I vote with my one educated vote.
I’m voting for Obama because he has convinced me that he is the best candidate that support my point of view. His views are inline with my own views and I respect his ability to communicate those views to me and with the m*****es. To vote for him because he is black is as dumb as voting for Hillary because she is a woman. If Obama is not the nominee then I will vote for Hillary because her views are inline with my views more so than McCain. I am sick and tired of the Bushes and Clintons but what other choice do I have if Obama is weaseled out by the powers to be. McCain will change has view to whatever it takes to get in the office and at that point there is no telling what he might do. Goggle “Keating Five” before placing your vote in John McCain hands.
@Ebony Eyes -
“This is where Obama lets his inexperience show. His ideas and timelines of ending the war are ridiculous at best.”
With your two Master Degrees, and all your experience in war, what do you suggest he do about the war? There are no good answers coming from any remaining candidate. In your educated view, do you believe McCain has a better answer? “I believe that al Qaeda would trumpet to the world that they had defeated the United States of America, and I believe that therefore they would try to follow us home.” Therefore he suggests we stay 100 years. We have never held any foreign grounds for 100 years. Maybe Hillary has the best plan! “Our message to the president is clear. It is time to begin ending this war — not next year, not next month — but today.” How is that less ridiculous? At $2 billion a week, we will run out of money before we accomplish anything of value in Iraq. Make that one educated vote you have count by casting it for the one candidate that best agree with your view.
“It’s not what your county can do for you but what you can do for your county.”
Did anything said in my comments make a different in anybody’s life? There’s a very good chance it made none but at least I quoted two unfaithful Presidents.
Clearly the staff@ Bossip needs a little education on the “Clinton Administration” of yesterday. They picked up where JFK left off. For the most part, they did more for the minority then any other administation has ever dared to do. Now don’t get me wrong,I find myself always defending Barack Obama to my white co-workers about his stance on change. But don’t you realize that it is more to it then just a popular,well-liked black man running for president? I’ve seen comments on this website about Hillary that just seems to be shallow and ignorant. Now only one of these people can win the nomination to run,but either way it goes the country will be better off than it has been for the past eight years. She is not the enemy. What if they decide to become running mates? Then people are going to be eating their words. It’s just like Barack said last week before Super Tuesday. He said that he and Hillary were friends before the campaign, and will be friends after the campaign.I tell you what,if he wins the nomination or even if he does’nt choose her as a running-mate-I bet she’ll help to make that happen with all of her suppoters moving to his side. So we need to really be careful about cheating accusations on the Democratic Party’s behalf. Besides when it gets down to that election day on NOV.4,2008 it won’t matter whose popular or how many endorsers they may or may not have. It’s going to come down to the Electoral College votes. And as to go as far as to diss these prominent, black members of congress like Rangle,Waters,Mosely-Braun who have each made history in their own right by just being Congressional Leaders and continue to hold their positions in a pit full of old,siver-head,racist narrow-minded snakes on Capital Hill.So before you start calling people “sell-outs” for supporting Hillary who’s in the same party as Obama, take a look at the Red-Team(the republicans). They will pull out any shady card to win this election.Remember the Bush/Gore election 8 years ago? Now that was cheating at it’s finest. I just pray that Barack can withstand all the dirt and fetilizer that they(repubicans)will spread about him, true or not, they will push it like it’s the gospel.Hillary has been through it-so surely she can handle the drama. It’s okay to support our own,but let’s not look ignorant in the process.Let them know we can debate them(whites)under the table any day,and twice on Sundays,ya’heard?
The Replublicans are the enememy. Just imagine If they ran on the same ticket. That’s a lot of POWER!!! A Black man,and a Woman.
Check theses two Web sutes out, this is what the Republicans have in store for Barack Obama as soon as he gain the nomation. They are using Barack to eliminate Hillary and then they are planning to turn on him. Read article carefully to gain understanding.
An article depicts the Republicans plan to elinate Hillary Clinton
http://thecityedition.com/Pages/Archive/Winter08/2008Election.html
As soon as Obama wins the nomination you will start seeing these attack ads everywhere. The Republicans are shacking in their boots right now at the thought of running against Hillary. This is just a sample of what they have in store for Obama, The Republicans don’t plan to let Obama win the White House. Once Hillary is out of the way they plan to lunch and extreme attack on Obama with negative ads such as the ones you see on this Web site. They do the have money to destroy him.

The prison experts have reported that there are 100,000 innocent Americans currently being falsely imprisoned along with the 2,300,000 total US prison population nationwide.
Since our US Congress has never afforded poor prison inmates federal appeal legal counsel for their federal retrials, they have effectively closed the doors on these tens of thousands of innocent citizens ever being capable of possibly exonerating themselves to regain their freedom through being granted new retrials.
This same exact unjust situation was happening in our Southern States when poor and mostly uneducated Black Americans were being falsely imprisoned for endless decades without the needed educational skills to properly submit their own written federal trial appeals.
This devious and deceptive judicial process of making our poor and innocent prison inmates formulate and write their own federal appeal legal cases for possible retrials on their state criminal cases,is still in effect today even though everyone in our US judicial system knows that without proper legal representation, these tens of thousands of innocent prison inmates will be denied their rightful opportunities of ever being granted new trials from our federal appeal judges!!
Sadly, the true US *legal* Federal Appeal situation that occurs when any of our uneducated American prison inmates are forced to attempt to submit their own written Federal Appeals (from our prisons nationwide) without the *****istance of proper legal counsel, is that they all are in reality being denied their legitimate rights for Habeas Corpus and will win any future Supreme Court Case concerning this injustice!
For our judicial system and our US Congressional Leaders Of The Free World to continue to pretend that this is a real and fair opportunity for our American Middle Cl***** and Working Poor Citizens, only delays the very needed future change of Federal Financing of all these Federal appeals becoming a normal formula of Our American judicial system.
