Ho Sit Down

Posted by Bossip Staff

julianbond8

The Negro Mafia is working over-time with Hillary Clinton to try to steal this election from our Brotha.

Click here to read about how NAACP leader Julian Bond is working behind the scenes with Clinton to make sure Obama is cheated .

Even with old-time civil rights negro mafia working over-time against him, Obama won MD, DC, and Virginia last night. He is now 8-0 against that shady Clinton during the last 2 weeks. This election is about all kinds of change, including sitting these punk-ass members of the negro mafia down.

I’ve enjoyed your site but I think your attack on Civil Rights leaders and those who do not support Obama should stop. Seriously.

  2. LaSabre84

***** them, they just in it for money cash! These old ***** douche bottles need to retire, and play with they damn grand kids!

  3. T

Is that his wife ? I’m far from racist but wouldn’t an interacial couple be for change that just seems crazy !

  4. Bernie

Bossip can attack anybody it likes … It’s a free God-damn, free speech America … And to a large degree I agree … these old time Niggras with that old time rub the shoulders of the master that feeds ya attitude has to stop … Michael

Why we have to stand like a monolithic old ***** black elephant in support of old ideals and attitudes? … Damn, we always gotta be safe, stay in those gubment jobs, support the same tired-***** leaders and broken down churches keeping all our factions divided … Damn, Damn, Damn!

I am sick of the NAACP and the old guard who pandered to the Keeblers!

  5. fyi

Bossip we get it, Obama is your guy and anyone who supports the opposition is garbage including Maya Angelou.

Obama’s campaign hasn’t thrown dirt at Clinton yet. It’s not their style. His campaign is about unity so why don’t you follow that lead.

At this point, if you have any political savvy, then you would know that he’s moved on to McCain. So stop the negativity and start highlighting Obama’s strengths.

I’ve done my homework and I’ve been in awe of this man since he gave his key note speech back in 04 at the DNC.

    Go Obama!

  6. ari

    well

    the clintons are SHADY

the old school civil right heads are being “bought” in a sense

the clintons have a lot more political history than barack…don’t get me wrong i don’t buy that “35yrs of experience” crap but she has been around the most prominent leaders of all communities and organizations since the late 80s…these ppl have ties to her and are backing her…even tho the MAJORITY of america are speaking up and saying we want barack

THAT is bossip’s issue with these ppl…they are backing hilary for no other reason than the dirty politics game of scratch my back and i’ll scratch yours

i’ve read up on maya angelou and from everything SHE’S said, it seems the only reason she’s voting for hilary is because she’s a woman and she’s a clinton

and these other so-called “leaders” with whom i haven’t even heard from despite all of the police brutalities, horrible conditions of HBCU’s, and the continuing injustice of black ppl…are only backing hilary because her last name is clinton

so yes they are SHADY clintons, yes they are providing NO reasons to vote for hilary…this election isn’t a race or gender issue…but if you’re seen as leaders of a community, it’d be wise to make endorsements based on actual reasons and not bullsht

  7. Obamacan

Yesterday morning, Obama chose to shop at Dunkin Donuts instead of Magic Johnson’s starbucks. Good for him. Line all these negroes up…so we can smash’em down

  8. lovely and amazing

Thank you Bossip for exposing these civil rights frauds and *****s. I don’t care who owns Bossip, someone needs to expose these frauds and *****s.

I always knew these old school negroes didn’t give a rat’s butt about black people. I always knew these old school negroes were self-serving, elitist, and full of crap. But their anti-Obama campaign is a historical low.

We need to teach our children the truth about dishonest, false, greedy leaders who have sat by and let generations of black youth be destroyed.

Attending charity dinners with white women and holding ridiculous award shows. Producing self-hate tv, music, and media and imposing it on our young. Holding self-worshipping marches and events. Calling Billary “really black”.

And now this, attempting to murder the hope of our generation. It wasn’t enough to destoy us through their twisted self/black-hating media, no, it wasn’t enough to mislead us with false role models. No, they want to diminish the very spirit of black people.

I will never forgive these hateful backstabbing elders.

And I can’t wait until we have the opportunity to vote these hateful elders out of office and boycott their enterprises.

We need a intra-racial civil rights movement! They are violating Obama’s and our will and civil rights. We need to not ride heir buses, not buy their books, not see their movies, and not vote for them anymore!

    OBAMA 2008!!!!

    YES HE CAN!!!!

  12. I won’t lie people, not that I don’t have FAITH because I do I just didn’t think OBAMA would do as well as he has..I am happy he has but let’s face it! is AMERICA really ready for a Black Pres?

Obama is doing so well he is scaring the hell outta John McCain real talk people…and Obama has alot of support from white american as well..”CRAZY” right now.. this will be interesting non-the less.

  13. jackton

I saw her on richkiss.com last week. I was dating there. And now I’m in love with a real gentleman.

  14. Trudi

The problem that civil rights establishment has with Obama may be generational as much as it is about political ties. (My mother, for example, believes that Obama is an “upstart” who hasn’t yet fully paid his dues as a national leader.) And note, too, that Hillary has stronger support overall from older voters. I’m fed up with Bossip dumbing down this campaign to make it solely about race. Heck, on Super Tuesday, I voted for Clinton and my white Republican husband voted for Obama. Bossip, talk about real ISSUES if you’re going to jump into this debate. Don’t treat readers like idiots and ignore substantive topics like candidates’ positions on health care, trade, diplomacy, etc.

  15. lovely and amazing

Please check out this article from CNN.com about how Hilary can’t bring herself to congratulate Obama.

Not only is she a liar, a thief, and a racist. She has poor manners and is certainly no lady. She can’t bring herself to congratulate Obama. What a pathetic bratty witch. How can she run for president? What the eff mnakes her think she can run a country without basic manners or social grace? This is just how stink she would act with world leaders. She’s such a weak b—- *****e to pouting and tantrums. First woman president my black a–. More like first infant president. She can’t say congratulations, eff her. That’s diplomacy 101. A 5th grade student body president candidate knows how to say congratulations.

Clinton did not acknowledge Obama’s winnings or congratulate him on his victories over the past two nights.

EL PASO, Texas (CNN) – For the second election night in a row, Hillary Clinton failed to acknowledge or congratulate Barack Obama after he won the day in dominating fashion.

On Tuesday in El Paso, hours after Virginia had been called for Obama, she stuck to her “Texas campaign kickoff” message and did not stray from an energetic, Lone Star-themed stump speech. She did mention Obama by name, only to chide his health care plan.

On Saturday night in Richmond, Virginia, Clinton spoke to a crowd of thousands at the state’s annual Jefferson-Jackson dinner, but she ignored Obama’s quartet of blowout primary and caucus wins that day as well (Obama also won the Maine caucuses the next day).

The courtesy of conceding a primary or caucus loss — and then congratulating your opponent — is by no means required. But it has become standard practice during campaign season.

Clinton congratulated Obama and John Edwards after their first and second place finishes in the Iowa caucuses. Obama returned the favor in New Hampshire, saying Clinton “did an outstanding job.” That courtesy continued through the early states.

But as the race has shifted to a delegate chase with dozens of states in play around the country, the notion of congratulating one’s opponent seems, for Clinton, to have fallen by the wayside.

BOSSIP, i think that is a picture of Doug Wilder from Virginia who is an Obama supporter and endorser. i’m almost positive it’s not Julian.

I’m glad to see the true colors of our so called black organizations. the black caucus, the naacp, and others only stand for one purpose, TO COLLECT MONEY. they’ve already been bought and paid for.

  17. Yes We Can, Obama – future grammy award winning president of the US.

The Clinton’s must be handing out fat checks to these people or promising money for their particular political interests. I don’t like it.

  18. Don C

***** them, they just in it for money cash! These old ***** douche bottles need to retire, and play with they damn grand kids!

I agree. Most are supporting Clinton because of promises, favors, and the good old fashion dollar dollar bill. I was in the middle UNTIL clinton started playing the race card. Now, I’m for Obama all the way. I hated the shady and under handed comments coming out of the Clinton camp. I voted for Bill Twice and I had considered supporting Hillary until the race games began. I hope all those old leaders are made to pay when their election time comes back up.

  19. Don C

I won’t lie people, not that I don’t have FAITH because I do I just didn’t think OBAMA would do as well as he has..I am happy he has but let’s face it! is AMERICA really ready for a Black Pres?

50 pennies dumb ***** said something similiar. YES! AMERICA IS READY FOR A BLACK PRESIDENT!

IF WE ALLOW A DUMB C/D STUDENT LIKE BUSH INTO THE WHITE HOUSE, OBAMA MORE THAN QUALIFIES! WHITE MEN ARE VOTING FOR OBAMA!! WHITE MEN THE DEEP DEEP SOUTH!! TIMES HAVE CHANGED AND I THINK IT IS THE PERFECT TIME FOR IT TO HAPPPEN. NO FEARS!

    YES WE CAN!

  20. Vito

Bossip, why do u let yourself get so worked up over what folks are trying to do to Obama? No matter what the shady Negroes do, that can’t stop what God has in store for Mr. Obama. The wins keep rolling in. The proof is in the wins.

  21. patti

what?!?!? fake leaders?!?! BOSSIP is a FAKE LEADER!!!!! hello?? everyday it trashes black ppl!! specially black women!! – how does it feels bossip? karma is a *****

  22. N

I love Bossip! I read it everyday but what you’re saying about Julian Bond and the NAACP isn’t correct. The NAACP has posted a statementr on its website, http://www.naacp.org, stating that this is a hoax.

You jeopardize the organization’s existence by publizing that one of its leaders has taken a partisan position. I’m disappointed you would post something like this without checking to see if were true first.

  23. NUBIAN QUEEN

@lovely and amazing, i thought i was the only one who noticed that. Mrs Clinton and her camp are coming up with way too many excuses as to why Barrack is winning, instead of giving the Man is props . It’s gotten to a point where they are even down playing his wins.

Some of the tired excuses from the Clinton camp:

He’s only winning in caucus states, and caucus states aren’t really that important.

Caucus states are undemocratic and cater only to party activists

Southern states, like Louisiana, have “a very strong and very proud African-American electorate,” so it a black canidate is expected to win.

states like North Dakota, Idaho and Kansas — all of which Obama won on Super Tuesday — will never choose a Democrat in the general election anyway.

The excuses are wearing thin, from Maine to Washington state. Even if Clinton does win the nomination by delegates, her failure to win popular votes is indicative of electability.

  24. THE DEVIL HIMSELF

I’D LOVE TO PERSONALLY LYNCH THAT OLD ***** LIKE THE KLAN SHOULD’VE YEARS AGO! FREE YT!!!!

  25. NUBIAN QUEEN

I also find it interesting that the same pundits who said Clinton would win MD and VA due to strong democratic establishment that favor her, are now saying it makes sense that Barack won because of the black vote.

My response to them is shut the ***** up. Barack not only won hands down, he also cut voters from clinton’s base, and i’m glad that black folks are making their presence felt in this election.

We are letting the democrats know that we are hip to the game, and the days of expecting that we’ll eat any and all things they feed us is hopfully gone.

  26. NUBIAN QUEEN

I have nothing against Mr. Julian Bond, but i think he and some of the old guards who have high-jacked the NAACP need to focus their energies on restructuring the NAACP as a viable political and human civil rights organization.

It is sad that the same old guards running around talking bout experience have been unable to turn the NAACP around. Many NAACP offices have closed, and the national organization continues to struggle financially.

  27. cari

    to N,

The hoax that the NAACP is referring to is an email that’s been attributed to them with the title “10 Reasons not to vote for Hillary Clinton”. The story about Julian Bond asking for the FL and Michigan delegates to be counted even though the process was not at all fair to the candidates is TRUE.

  28. @DON C…..I AM FAR FROM DUMB AZZ 50:…I WON’T GET INTO ANY CYBER WARS WITH YOU OR ANYONE ELSE: PEOPLE DO HAVE THEIR OWN OPINIONS!

  29. dna

True Bossip can attack who they want, free speech does exist. but the “Ho Sit Down” campaign is doing a good job making me re-think my obabma vote, and thats not logical. I shouldnt be affected by Obama’s supporters…but its getting old

  30. Reggie08

Bossip need to stop with all this political posting. Obama will not win this election. The black vote is going to be split once again by lies and agendas set up by Republicans. History doesn’t lie! The vote was split in 2000 (damn Florida and Nader) and 2004 (Swift Boat and Unity Platform i.e. Carl Rove). Let’s get it together my Brothas and Sistas and pick the lesser of two evils until our time comes.

  31. EXCUSE ME! How did that article show Julian Bond working behind the scenes to help Hillary Clinton? Did YOU even read the article?

Your blatant attacks on black leaders is not going unnoticed. You’re blogs are doing more harm to black people than any person who is supporting Hillary. By the way, do you know Hillary’s history with the Civil Rights Movements and black voters dating back to her college years after she left the Republican party? I’m all for Obama but you need to do more research.

  32. NUBIAN QUEEN

@THE DEVIL HIMSELF, i don’t advocate the lyncing of any black person due to political or Ideological differences.

  33. Wondering

^^^^I hate to agree with a Hillary supporter, but you are right. That article had nothing to do with Julian Bond. Also Hillary has been very active in civil rights issues. While I agree with Bossip that some minorities in power are working overtime to make sure Barack does not get the nomination, I do not think they are presenting it correctly.

  34. NUBIAN QUEEN

@Che Dilla, are they “black leaders” or are they “leading blacks?”

There’s a difference. These days we have way too many leading blacks who have ordained themselves as leaders of the black people for self aggrendizement

  35. QG&#@

I disagree with Bossip calling The Clintons and everybody who supports them “Shady” and “Uncle Toms” but I do agree that change is needed badly…The old so called “Black Leaders” need to go on permanent vacations. These old spiritual ***** negros need to sit their *****es down or be sat down. Their time has past. We don’t need a black leader. We need a leader who looks to lead everyone no matter what their race or background. Thats what these old spiritual fake black leaders ***** *****s can’t get through their greezy heads…We no longer need the race card every 5 minutes…Its makes us look stupid.

  36. QG&#@

    @Reggie08:

You need to pay attention. The black vote isn’t getting split. The white vote is. Barack carried OVER 80% of the black vote last night and is gaining more black support in every election. That’s not exactly “splitting” the black vote homie. Barack did carry 49% of the white vote though. Now that’s splitting a vote. Pay attention or don’t talk.

  37. YAAAAAYYYY!!!!!!!!! I WOULD LIKE TO PERSONALLY THANK ALL OF MY FELLOW DC METRO AREA OBAMA SUPPORTS FOR VOTING AND LETTING OUR VOICES BE HEARD. THE DMV (DC, MURRLAND, VA) CAN COME TOGETHER WHEN THE HELL WE NEED TO.

    DMV STAND UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  41. Lube and a Tube Sock

At Bossip, but I didn’t use “poverty pimps” ever so appropriately when speaking about jessie jackson and al sharpton lol

  42. NUBIAN QUEEN

Reggie08, why should Bossip stop political posting? take ur self defeating attitude to the new york times and tell them to stop writing on politics

If you are so against bossip doing political post, you can always find another site.

  43. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

    PEOPLE!!

STOP WASTING YOUR TIME DEBATING WITH BOSSSIP…THESE ARE JUST IDIOTS BEHIND A SCREEN SAYING ***** TO INCITE YOU TO COMMENT…DO YOU REALLY THINK THESE DUMB *****ES ARE PAYING ATTENTION TO THIS ELECTION?

I love the term “Poverty Pimps”…

I’m gonna have to jack that term…

  45. NUBIAN QUEEN

LOL@Lube and a Tube Sock. I don’t get mad at the headlines either, i do get mad that i don’t come up with it.lol

yea the writers here at bossip are a trip. I can count on them to make me laugh

  46. Smoking section

    Michael and FYI,

I agree with you both. Bossip should stop slamming these black political figures. I never got the black memo that we’re all supposed to vote for the same person. That’s why it’s called voting….to decide who you would like to see in office. I actually voted for Hillary. Obama’s skeletons have not been exposed yet, but I’m not really buying all the fancy speeches at this point. I’d much rather Hillary be elected for one term and Obama come in right after she’s cleaned things up a bit. Barack and Michelle are crooks that line their pockets (along with Oprah). I’ve done alot of research and I really feel like Obama won’t be for minorities if/when he’s elected. But for Bossip to disrespect our black trailblazers is so insulting. That’s not cool Bossip.

  47. Listen here Bossip. All these “old negroes” you keep telling to sit down are the reason Barack has a chance right now. THEY fought for this day. What the hell have you done to move our race forward. Not a gotdamned thing. Let people vote for whoever the hell they want to vote for. I’m real tired of you dissing our civil rights icons.

    Ho sit yo ***** down.

  48. Lube and a Tube Sock

lol and to all those who say they don’t have a problem with interracial dating…take a look at this picture..Lol and don’t tell me he fought all them years so you could look at this photo and not get offended..this is utterly ridiculous..He isn’t some athlete! He is the leader of NAACP and he’s got himself a Becky..lol we’ve have officially lost our minds

WTF is in the water people?

Harvard giving free tuition to lower income families.

    Austraila’s apologizing to the Aborigines.

People are hip to the KKKlintons (RIP Ron Brown).

Black folks are hip to the long been phony and self-serving civil rights “leaders”.

Oprah gave a white woman her ***** to kiss.

The Kennedy’s handed the keys to Camelot to a black man.

Obama is the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination.

    Black youth are voting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do I dare say consciousness is rising in the world in our lifetime?

Yeah, we still got ways to go. But no one can tell me this is not a phenomenal start.

Personally…I think the only civil rights leaders that authentically loved and cared about their people are dead, dead, dead. I will never dishonor the memory of Martin, Malcolm, Medgar, and many others because I know they died because they loved us so. They paid the price with their lives.

Now the rest of these fools that’s living off speaking engagements and riding the coattails of being down with the movement?….sheeeeet….I know they are suspect as hell and made and agreement with the devil to live a happy, fruitful, abundant, and secure life.

And that’s including Messy Jesse, and Al “Do Rag” Sharpton. Them *****’s talk ***** for a living and are living well; not risking their lives like Martin and Malcolm. They don’t inspire black people to be come up men; they inspire us to cry fowl and whine about injustice.

Yall know who I stans for by looking at the gravatar. Now that’s a come up educated brother, with a beautiful black wife and family, who up until two years ago was still paying student loans. That damn Bush done effed up our nation to the point where America is willing to have a black man hold court..

I’ll take it …it may be the only chance we’ll have in a long time….

  51. Wondering

@ Lube and a Tube Sock

I must agree. Bossip is funny. That is why I read it. “Hoe, sit down!” Always makes me laugh when its next to Hillary’s picture. Uncle Tom, Negro Mafia, Poverty Pimps, all terms I do not hear on a daily basis, but make me laugh when I read them on bossip.

  52. Lube and a Tube Sock

lol we have no pride in our community what so ever…Maybe you self-hating chumps are right…”we should only align and validate ourselves by others approval”…”white man knows what’s best for us”…thats what got us on the boat in the first place

Bob Dylan called out racist hypocrisy and evil many years ago in a tribute song to Medgar Evers, Jr.

Check it out, the song is called ***** in the Game. This song speaks directly to this time of awakening.

Yes, some black folks listen to Dylan. (he was one the few back in the day to stand up for Nina Simone when white and black folks turned on her for speaking and singing radically about racism)

    RIP Medgar Evers, Jr.

    OBAMA 2008!!!

  57. For all you doubters about Obama (especially if are black), go to ihate*****s.com. I’m not here trying to promote another site like some others do, but a friend of mind just happened to put me onto this blog and I am IN LOVE with this guy. I thought I was the only one who felt the way he does. But he has taken my feelings, as well as so many other black Americans across the country, and put it into a blog. LOVE IT! There is NO EXCUSE FOR BLACKS NOT SUPPORTING OBAMA! (But of course some of you will always find one)If A BLACK MAN had of never been ready for change we would still be GETTING ON THE BACK OF THE BUS! Stop worrying about if this country is ready for a black prez.

  58. Obama I LOVE YOU! You bring tears to my eyes because I can believe or at least hope for change, FOR EVERYONE>

  59. Ora Mae

Well, I don’t usually read these blogs and my grandson helped me with this one, but I want all of you to listen to me now. I am seventy-five years old and I have supported the NAACP all of my life until the last twenty years. WHY? Because I no longer believe they really want a change in America. It is true that they are elitist and they don’t truly care for poor Black people. Everything with them is about racism, yet they don’t utter a word about the self-hating black criminals who do their best to destroy Black peoples and Black communities. I may be old but I know that we need a change and if old ideas don’t work then move on to something else. All of America knows this except these old timey thinking folks. They are scared that we will figure things out for ourselves and that it will be over for them. As far as I’m concerned it’s been over for them for decades, but they still think they are the mouthpiece of our people and they want us to continue with this crabs in a barrel thinking. I am so happy to see that the younger generation no longer thinks that way, because you young people seem to understand how the world works and that we cannot continue to cry racism on every street corner, every time other folks do something we don’t like. We should be calling racism against the Negro drug dealers and criminals who are bent on ruining us because they are the true racist against their own kind. I don’t think the NAACP and those who think like them, will ever change. There is too much jealousy in those peoples hearts against any independent minded, Black person that they cannot control. I remember 30 years or so back when Julian Bonds was a *****e addict for years before he cleaned himself up. I believe the drugs musta done something to his brains and reasoning. These old-timey black folks simply don’t believe in change or that we are capable of achieveing the best, but no matter because Mr. Obama is crossing racial, social and economic lines, God bless him. I never thought I would live long enough to see this day and I am so grateful for it. You young people can change the world and please continue to look forward for change, don’t go back to the 1960’s and such, which is what these old fuddy duddies want you to do.

I think that everyone needs to stop trying to make this race about race. One of the rights we earned during the civil rights movement is that we can support and vote for anyone we want to. We don’t have to vote for someone just because they are black, white, democrat, baptist, christian, and etc. It is time we start listening to the person and examining their record. The democrats have not been our friends and we not stop treating them like they are. I think Obama is just making alot of people wake up and realize what is really going on in America. And I don’t think that has anything to do with race. I think that has to do with the human spirit. And when you loose your job, healthcare, and your home that is not a race thing that is a human thing. He is making people see if we the people don’t stop this mess that the politicians have done we will be the country that Sally Struthers will start asking other countries to help us feed our children. We are becoming third world country. And all a third world country is is this, the top 1-2% are filthy rich and everybody else is dirt poor. You have people in this country who’s pets live off of $50k a month. It is time we wake up. And get rid of the old and bring in the new. Not just new people but a whole new mind set.

Personally…I think the only civil rights leaders that authentically loved and cared about their people are dead, dead, dead. I will never dishonor the memory of Martin, Malcolm, Medgar, and many others because I know they died because they loved us so. They paid the price with their lives.

    *****************************************************

Oh so a ***** had to die for his contribution to count. Have you been sprayed down by a water hoes? Have you sat where you weren’t supposed to and been hauled off to jail as a result? Have you been beaten by a police baton for protesting for equal rights? Have you done anything besides diss the people who were there fighting? If you have actually put your neck on the line in a real way does that mean you have to support every black candidate in every race? What is two black candidates are running against each other? If you have put your life on the line for our civil rights how are you going to feel in 20-30 years when youngins start calling you a chittlin circuit negro and say ho sit down to you for all the world to see on the internet. Young people these days have had every handed to them on a silver platter and this disrepectful post and comment is a sad testiment to that fact. Maybe those old negroes should have left more work for you spoiled brats to do.

  68. Smoking section

Trfling, can you offer some words to women as well. What are women getting the brothas on Valentine’s Day? Why is it all about what the brothas do for women. Black women give something to your man tomorrow. Women are going to see alot of free movies and dinner this year because of men. We need support too….come out of your pockets once in awhile

  69. lovely and amazing

Last year my college student younger sister got fired from her part-time job at a Wal-Mart in Virginia because a white male customer in her line told her to “hurry up *****” (within earshot of her manager no less)and she stood up for herself and retorted by calling the customer a cracker.

The moral of this story is that yesterday, she got herself up and proudly got up and went to the polls with a bunch a folks and voted OBAMA!

Don’t tell me hope don’t mean nothing!!

Don’t tell me Change don’t mean nothing!!

    OBAMA 2008!!!

OH, YES WE ABSOLUTLEY ARE AND CAN!!!

  70. Harlem Chic

And my opinion still stands…cause it’s my opinion.

  71. Harlem Chic

You are entitled to your opinion, but I’d love to see it presented more intelligently. I have never heard anyone make the argument that your contribution to the civil rights movement only counts if you were killed. Thousands of people parti*****ted in the civil rights movement, including Hillary who I DON’T support, who are still alive. The debate is more interesting when it is articulated intelligently. That’s all I’m saying. I know that’s hard to expect when the blog title is “Ho Sit Down” but lets give it the old college try anyway.

  72. Nita

@ N, the NAACP isn’t claiming that it’s a hoax, they’re claiming that Julian sent the letter out without telling them about it. I wrote about this last night in the ‘Backstab’ thread; I only wrote about it because the blogosphere was BLOWING UP about what Julian said, and about Al Sharpton’s response to Julian’s disgusting race card bull*****.

I mean, damn, even Fred’s gossip site had the news about Donna Brazille (and I know I misspelled her name) saying she was going to quite her post with the Democrats if Hillary Clinton only ‘won’ the nomination by seating Michigan and Florida delegates. But here’s Julian Bond talking about how not seating Michigan and Florida would be a civil rights issue. That is NOT what is going down with Michigan and Florida. How dare the Clintons and their house slaves pull this *****, and then to pretend they’re only doing it for the good of the nation and the good of the voter instead of the truth? Selfish, overly self-entitled mo*****fos, all of them. But anywhere, here’s Jack and Jill’s take on the matter, with an address and phone number information at the bottom. This is real:

    ————————————————

    Wednesday, February 13, 2008

Julian Bond Sells Out Democratic Process…for what, exactly?

    From Politico dot com:

    >NAACP gets involved

    > Julian Bond, chairman of the NAACP, has written a > letter to Howard Dean to express “great concern

    > at the prospect that million of voters in

    > Michigan and Florida could ultimately have their > votes completely discounted.”

If you want to read the letter in its entirety, go here

Rev. Al Sharpton is all over this. He said, last night on MSNBC, and this morning on Tom Joyner, that this letter from Bond was, ‘ PoliTRICKS’ of the highest order. That this was akin to being in the 3rd quarter of a game, and then deciding to change the rules of the game.

Roland Martin (CNN.com, WVON-AM) said this morning on his radio show that he had been in contact with several NAACP Board members, and the NAACP Board had NOT approved of this letter. Bond sent it without putting it before the Board.

Let’s make this clear – Julian Bond has sold out to the Clintons.

There is no way, that the contests in Michigan or Florida could remotely be considered fair, plausible, or should be counted in anyway.

IF you’d like to drop a line to the NAACP, here you go:

  73. THE BLACK “GERITOL MAFIA” NEED TO SIT THE ***** DOWN AND LET THE YOUNG PEOPLE STAND UP AND HANDLE THINGS!

THEIR TIME IS OVER, IT’S A NEW DAY AND US YOUNGER FOLKS IS DOING IT RIGHT NOW!

I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE OLD PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO HOLD ON AS TIGHT AS THEY CAN EVEN THOUGH THEIR ARTHRITIS IS KILLIN’ THEIR GRIP BUT, IT’S TIME TO GO!

THE BENGAY CREW WAS DOING IT DURING THE CIVIL RIGHT MOVEMENT……

    NOW IT’S OBAMA TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  74. Coop

    @ignorance

Black people must we hate on our own because they don’t choose a black man because he’s black? I’m not endorsing Hillary but the reason that some of you are choosing Obama is just *****ish.

  75. There was once a time where Julian Bond fought alongside others to give us the right to stand up. Now some of you are telling him to sit down? Smh.

My aunt worked with him on a television show in the ’80s. It was ahead its time and it goes without saying that Julian Bond has done a lot for blacks in the media. Respect.

  76. Nita

@ Ora Mae, thank you, ma’am, for your post and your perspective. And thank you to your grandson for *****isting you and being a good respectful young man in helping you put your thoughts on the internet.

@ Bird, actually, it has been. I don’t agree with it either, but I understand the sentiment. I don’t think that was Harlem Chic’s main thrust at all.

I get what Harlem Chic is saying though. I think. And I feel where her heart is coming from, and I agree with her. Medgar, Martin, Malcolm… they wouldn’t have put money and schmoozing before progress. They died. I know what Dr. King has been accused of; he started to get radical — they killed him. What Harlem Chic is saying is the generational reflection of what Ora Mae is saying. We have been failed, Bird, by people who have lost sight of what true civil rights is, and true sacrifice. Instead, we have people who have put the almighty dollar ahead, who have put political perks ahead.

@ lovely and amazing, hey girl. your sister shouldn’t have called him a cracker, but no way in hell should he have gotten away with calling her a *****. no way in hell. what did management say to this *****hole? did anybody in line or around or management, somebody, tell him ‘hey, don’t use that language towards the young lady’? I guess not but *****.. that’s *****ed up. I wonder if that man was one of the many who voted for Obama, anyway. Or if he was one of the many who weren’t going to vote for no n-word or no woman.

I haven’t listened to Dylan LOL I think I’ve always been afraid because even those who love him say he’s sometimes kind of unapproachable musically and lyrically. But thank you for the tip to all of us. (And in another thread you mentioned Primary Colors. I haven’t seen — but everything I’ve read says that it’s a semi-expose of the Clintons. I read about the ending, that was *****ed up. It’s a shame that’s what it takes to ‘get ahead’ in DC.)

@ Wondering, I can’t lie, I get the same giggles with ‘ho sit down!’ over Hillary Clinton’s possessed mug. If I can diverge into some real talk, I’ve always thought that Hillary Clinton’s been drugged up and not just botoxed within an inch of her life. If you look at a lot of the pictures of her, her smile is too wide, her eyes too wide, and that pointing thing she does is too transparent, like she’s trying too hard to pretend that she has friends in places she really doesn’t. And that super tight hand grip she had on Obama after their last debate kinda worried me. When she isn’t manic like that, she looks completely and utterly depressed and deflated. I want to say I hope she doesn’t have a nervous breakdown, but she needs to stop with the race baiting and evilness and attitude that the White House is owed to her.

    @ Nubian Queen, true dat.

@ Q, ohhhh the Clintons are most definitely SHADY. I wish there was method to the old guard’s madness in the same way Louis Farrakhan studiously not having *anything* to say is strategy in pursuit of the bigger picture on Minister Farrakhan’s part. But I don’t think it is. But the Clintons are most definitely SHADY. Their tactics have been exposed, and it is not good, it is not pretty, and it is not to the benefit of the peoples of the United States of America.

@ Don C and Ari, you ain’t never told a lie! Thank you.

@ Trudi, that’s too bad. :( but you’re right in what you post. All of it. Regarding your mom, that reminds me of some of the stories I heard about the Freedom Ride days, and how the older folks thought of the Freedom Riders…. this generational shift thing is painful. But I hope good comes of it, and everyone can come together in the end. And yes, more context needs to be provided by Bossip. But notice, they’re starting to do so?

@ Bria, I agree with you. Clintons want to outsource. Obama wants to educate every American. I guess it’s easier to outsource. than to educate so that Americans more easily make their own opportunities instead of having to be dependent on someone else creating jobs.

@ Big J, that incident is the number one reason why I can’t stand Al Sharpton. And yet, even a stopped clock is right twice a day — and Al was right, in his response to Julian Bond’s bull*****.

    @

  77. SMDH

LOL – here goes another black man with his GORGEOUS white wife..

I don’t know which is prettier, Julian Bonds wife or Gary Colemans wife…

    ROTFLMBAO!!!

  78. Nita

@ anonymous wrote, “BOSSIP, i think that is a picture of Doug Wilder from Virginia who is an Obama supporter and endorser. i’m almost positive it’s not Julian.”

for real? dang. Is Wilder’s wife white? is that even a wifey in the photo? cuz I saw a photo of Obama kissing that female governor Sibelius, just because two folks are in the same frame don’t mean they *****ing.

But anybody else got the news on whether or not Anonymous is right, and that’s actually Wilder in the photo and not Bond?

@ Obamacan, I heard about that! LOL poor Magic. Burkle is getting his, though.

@ cari, thank you for finding what’s going on.

@ dna, what would be a better way to present these things?

@ che diller, to know why Julian Bond’s comments are offensive has everything to do with true voter disenfranchisement…. and to understand how using ‘race’ as a bogeyman is counterproductive to the struggle, first and foremost; and to use it in the service of seating delegates in two states where only one candidate . The struggle about Michigan and Florida is deeper than delegates, it’s a struggle about the soul of the Democratic Party… with the DLC led by the Clintons versus the DNC led by Howard Dean. It’s about rules and order versus ‘any means necessary’. It’s about the party’s future. I fully agree with those who believe that Julian put himself on the wrong side with his letter. I agree that Julian has sold out.

There are stories coming out now, about how to the Clintons loyalty is more important than competence. It’s finally starting to bite them on the *****. Why does Julian Bond owe his loyalty to the Clintons, though?

@ finally virgo911 – YES WE CAN!, thank you for the text option. =) and another shout-out and thank you, again, to you Ora Mae, for making yourself at home at Bossip and letting us know what’s up.

  79. Bamamania

It seems as though Hillary is taking on some of Obama’s speech and refraining from now mentioning “mandartory” in the same sentence as her healthcare briefing(she had one that flopped back in 1993). She wasn’t to detailed in El Paso on Immigration(what a suprise). She mentioned how some of her best friends were accrued on the border where she had lunch 30 years ago with the hispanics while registering voters in Texas. Hillary is the perfect picture of bad politics: selfish, untruthful, sneaky, hasty promises for votes and personal agendas vs people agendas. The hispanics are sure to be the apple of her eye for the moment but if they don’t show up and show out for her she’ll put them at the back of the bus and target another group for votes. She’s not doing to many black churches here lately is she? The hispanics better do they’re homework..have they ever really benefitted from any of her bills? Hispanics are going with the familiarity of the Clintons.

Hillary didn’t even acknowledge Maryland, D.C. and Virginia last night. She was to busy salsaing for votes. She should be uncomfortable in this race because she was really riding on the familiar and owed votes from the Bill Clinton session. She was very sure she’d be long gone ahead in this race due to her *****ociation as a Clinton. She’ll break down crying again or she’ll say what she feels will get her the votes , or she’ll start some really down and dirty politics as defense. Wake up people the red flags are there with Hillary, she’s not running for the people she’s running for status and to finish up what the Clinton advisors asked her to fall back on back in 93-94 because she wasn’t helping the President for a re-election. It’s personal for her.

  80. what?

The negro mafia ( I love that) does need to sit down rather they support Barack or not. In with the new. It is long over due. Honestly it is better for some so called black leaders not to endorse Barack. That might scare of a lot of white voters. So that may not be bad that some black leader or staying clear of Barack.

  81. DANIEL

    is that his wife.

  82. Nita

dammit, I meant ‘where only one candidate was actually seeking to campaign, and broke rules while pretending it was other people who broke those rules’. A la Obama getting permission from the Democrat Party to buy ad *****e in a national package, and then the Clintons claiming that Obama buying that national ad *****e broke the no-campaigning rule therefore the Clintons could do whatever they wanted in Florida. Obama had all his ducks in a row, he wasn’t trying to be sly, he sought and got permission; the Clintons feel the only rules that matter, however, are those they make themselves or those which benefit them.

The Clintons are a trip. Their excuses are a trip. How they use people is sad — but they’ve been doing this all along. See also: asking people to lie to the feds over the Lewinsky *****; Ron Brown’s disillusion with the Clintons.

  83. Bamabound

Bossip keep on calling out these leaders for being water carriers for the old Democratic elite. All the work that Dr, King laid the ground work for, for someone like Obama to have this chance, is here, but who among these older black leaders have stood up to support him? Damn, does Hilary know where the bodies are buried?

Of all the old guard people, of all people Colin Powell has come out and at least praised Obama. I don’t expect him to endorse him, but at least he’s not one who is asking Obama to step to the back of the line and wait his turn.

  84. Swag

Bossip, why do y’all have to make this election a race thing? I’m with Trudi. I am NOT a hater on Obama. But dude does not have a track record of success in politics. And as Trudi so eloquently stated, Obama has not paid his dues yet. I beleive he is a good man. But he is in his first term as a U.S. Senator. He is a awsome speaker, but he has much to prove to be considered a potential president.

  85. Swag

Never forget that Obama is a POLITICIAN like all the others. You negroes make me sick, thinking that Obama is such a *****in Saint. The entire political process is shady. Don’t point the finger at just the Clinton camp . All politicians including Obama make backroom deals with the “Power Elite”.

You guys have no idea all the promises and backroom deals he has had to make to get this far. NO ONE get this far in a primary race with out being in cahoots with certain members and groups of the power elite that own and control America.

Whoever wins the election won’t be in a position to change much of anything and deliver on their promises to make America more better or anything. Cause the economy will be the MAIN issue in the next term. Obama or whoever wins will be too busy trying to save the country from going to hell and fight the terroists to be making any major changes.

  86. Nita

@ lovely and amazing wrote, “Oprah gave a white woman her ***** to kiss.”

Reading that, I’m reminded. I think that all those so called fans talking about how Oprah was a sell-out, a gender traitor, and a racist for endorsing Obama ‘because he’s black’ were actually Hillary Clinton supporters and operatives. I feel in my heart that if Oprah had endorsed Hillary, that it would have been alllll good in ‘It’s (white) women’s turn!’ land.

Those women are not true feminists, though. I don’t know what they are.

  87. Bohwe

And they wonder why they are begging people to join the NAACP? Hopefully, Obama will start a new organization made up of every American, and focus on the future and not the past.

Did anyone catch Mitchelle Obama roundtable discussion with mothers? Wow, she and Obama are the Truth. She said while most of their collegues were buying their 3 or 4 home, she and Obama was still living in a condo, and that they just paid off their student loans. She said that she still talks to her old teachers in her childhood neighborhood, where her mother still lives. Michelle also, went into detail with the ladies about child nutriention at schools, and affordability. It was funny because she started to really complained about a certain aspect of the social injustice, and her “conscious” as she calls her, tapped her on the shoulder. It was cute.

I have respect for the Obamas because they are Real, and can relate to the average person.

While Obama was so adorable walking out with donuts for his supporters.

This is why people love and support the Obamas, because they are good people who can relate to the average American, who is hard working and struggling to make it.

BTW: Obama also got an endorsement form Pres. Eisenhower’s granddaughter.

  88. Nita

@ Swag wrote “But dude does not have a track record of success in politics.”

    – Google is your friend.

“And as Trudi so eloquently stated, Obama has not paid his dues yet.”

    – That was Trudi’s mother. But I may have misread that.

“I beleive he is a good man. But he is in his first term as a U.S. Senator.”

    – So was Edwards, who is a one-termer (and a one-termer who sought his seat through Clinton connections, at that). Hillary Clinton also started to am***** her war chest for the presidency while a JUNIOR Senator from New York. She was recently re-elected. But don’t get it twisted.

Obama has more total time in legislative office than Hillary Clinton. Obama made history with his U.S. Senator run; that Ryan dude *****ed himself over he should have never did that to Jeri. Hillary was only able to run for her seat in the first place because John F. Kennedy Jr died in that plane crash. Obama went from state senatorship to U.S. Senatorship. Hillary went from First Lady to senatorship. Who really has less experience, Swag?

“He is a awsome speaker, but he has much to prove to be considered a potential president.”

    – Yeah, because black folks have to be twice as good to be considered half as capable. God help us all.

Dude, you take the time when it presents itself. Don’t count on the future, though you should plan for the future. Live in the now. Obama is living in the now.

As for politics and machines, you’re right about that ;) but still — how many sex scandals did Bill Clinton have by this point? how many does Obama?

How many women is Obama accused of raping or sexually *****aulting or using his powers as an elected official to get into sexual situations in hotels with the help of state troopers?

The haters have tried to make his kindergarten essays, his *****e use in the past, his middle name, his religion, his race into issues. The haters have misrepresented his voting record. The haters have misrepresented his church. The haters are trying to use Rezko, and hoping it blows up bigger than their own meses. Now, the haters are trying to manufacture a scandal out of those Texas workers having a big ***** Che/Cuba flag on their wall for that photo-op, but come to find out, they weren’t even an official ‘official’ Obama set up.

The haters are hard at work. Don’t believe them. Read his site. Google. Make up your own mind… but don’t believe what comes from the haters out of hand.

  89. Nita

@bohwe, i wish the video could be posted here. and yes, that is why many people like the Obamas.

  90. Wondering

    @ Nita,

I thought Hillary was on drugs too!! And she clearly gets botox, but she looks good. When she’s relaxed she looks good. She makes so many crazy faces that she makes it too easy to clown her. It’s like Pres. Bush. I swear they must pay him for that footage. I think Obama h*****ome work to do in debates. Hillary is very good at them, so she can make anyone look bad. I am worried about Hillary. I think she will go into depression if she doesn’t win, and they get some scary shots of her. The Clintons playing the race card is silly, but it’s politics, so I’m not mad. Obama has his tricks too, that whole “I don’t take money from lobbyist,” deal. I wish he’d stop. They all do it, he just changed the name of his donors. I do think Hillary thought the White House was hers, but she’s learning otherwise. I hope she can cope with the loss. I’m honest about my vote. Obama is offering tuition credits to college students, and I’m in college. My choice wasn’t hard. Sorry for being selfish, but times are hard and college is expensive. McCain has not proposed one tax credit, tax break, tuition credit, or any type of program that would benefit me. I don’t care about all the politics or who changes what. Who gives a damn?! I care about the money in my pocket, and Obama is the only one who says he’ll give it to me.

  92. C.C.

Hillary and Bill have been so direspectful towards the African-American community lately, that I simply cannot see how anybody of any race, color, creed, or combination of any, could vote these shady hillbillies. Hell if Obama doesn’t get that nomination, I might vote for Mccain.

  93. Obama 08- Clinton NEVER

I was one of those people that was on the fence about which candidate I was going to vote for. After the debate a few weeks ago I was for OBAMA. It’s something about him that is very inspiring. He wasn’t courting the black vote, he was just courting people. Hillary was going AFTER the black vote, and now it seems that she has moved on to the next race…the Mexicans.

The Latino (mexicans mostly) are ruining america. They are the ones that Bush courted and went after. He used his ability to speak spanish and all that ***** to take the election. Mexican’s are so easily swayed it’s ridic. You give them some attention and they’ll ride with you. You talk about eating mexican food and they’ll ride for you. I’m tired of these people. They don’t even belong here but they are ruining are fuccin political system. No here Hillary goes, trying to act like she was down for the mexicans since way back, but she didn’t even show them any attention before super tuesday. She was riding hard for the black vote, she didn’t get it so now she ain’t fuccing with us.

Why would you want a woman that can’t even take care of her own house in the white house? She’s a doormat. I am so voting McCain if Billary gets the nom. I just don’t like her anymore.

  96. what?

@Swag no one is saying Obama is a saint. He is the closest thing we have to make a real change in America. The Clintons and Mccain dont’ bring that.

  97. a.b.in dc

The Negro Mafia is doing Obama a huge favor by staying against him. This is making white people feel real easy about Obama. If he was surrounded by the likes of Jesse, Al Sharpton and Company , there would be real apprehension on parts of most whites and some African Americans. They thought they were backing a winning horse, but they got fooled. The worst thing is how Obama felt betrayed by these idiots, but guess this is what you call a blessing in disguise.

  98. a.b.in dc

I just read someone’s comment that said we don’t have to vote for someone because they are black. I totally agree. i am sure Obama doesn’t want someone to vote for him because he is black. The problem is that you do NOT have to tear Obama down in order to support Hillary. All Bob Johnson had to say was I have known Bill and Hillary for x,y,z, and I support her for x,y, and z. But to make the little snide remarks just exposed his slave mentality. When John Kerry endorsed Obama, he said I am not against HIllary and John, I am for Obama. That is how you do it. You don’t do like Andrew Young and say that Bill has dated more black women then Obama.WTF? That is the problem. It says something about Hillary if all they can do in support of her is talk reckless about Obama. This strategy has cost them, Senator Kennedy told President CLinton to stop lying about Obama’s record and when he kept on, he supported Obama, when he had originally planned to lay low until the convention.

  99. LatanyainMaryland

I am an Obama supporter not because he is black but because of what he stands for. I have been listening to people and their comments..I do think it is an injustice for so-called black leaders to try and hold him back; he is living Martin Luther King jr’s Dream..these same leader who marched with him suposedly had the same dream..We now have a leader that all can identify with because he is for the people..

What is amazing is the blacks that are supporting the Clinton’s it is funny how they once understood the blacks and our issues..Now we see the true colors ..According to Bill the only reason he won in South Carolina is because he is black..not because we agree with the man’s politics just his color like we are just soo ignorant we can decide on anything other than color…

we need a change not the same old sh*t warmed over

  100. William Powers

Its just all so ironic. I wonder what Martin Luther King would say if he lived to see the day where the head of the NAACP (and a number of prominent and powerful Black people) were working behind the scenes to keep a Harvard educated Black man of the White House. Any thoughts Bossipers?

  101. Swag

    @Nita

Let me explain what I meant about experience. All the things you have stated are indeed true. The point I made is not about Obama vs. Clintons time in legislation. I am talking about the years of service and the time spent at the forefront of MAJOR political events on a state or national level.

I don’t know how John Edwards got into this discussion. But since you brought him up, he didn’t have enough experience either. Plus his repsonsiblilty should be to tending to his ill wife. Thats where he’s needed most.

I am aware of Obama’s track record, which is impressive. But the point I was making was that it takes more that a few years in legislation to run a country. Of course that is not to say that he could not do a good job. But I would be in more support of him if he was in his second term as Senator.

And as far as living in the future, we all need to be worried and VERY concerned about the future right now. Especially for our generation. Cause if you have been following the state of the economy, we are basically entering a recession and will likly enter a depression by 2011.

If you don’t beleive me, look up the GDP numbers and the deficites that keeps growing. Finacially America is in a mess. And all the constant borrowing WILL screw this country up more than it already is.

That will be devistating to the American nation. And for me, a person with a few years of experience in legilsation is not equipted enough to steer this country throught the turbulent time that are facing us. We need a leader that has been around and has experienced difficult times before.

And for the record, I DON’T support Clinton.

    To Obama 08- Clinton NEVER:

Get out of here with that backhanded ignorant rhetoric. Mexican immigrants have produced billions of dollars for this economy. The argument that they are a drain on our resources is a regurgitated and foundless accusation. They pay taxes like everyone else. In fact, immigration itself is a wedge issue. Meaning, it’s an issue without merit that has little impact on the average citizen. It’s a distraction from real issues, i.e., healthcare, taxes, foreign trade relations and state/local legislation. Last election, the wedge issue was gay marriage. It’s an issue that people like yourself feel comfortable talking about–they feel like they understand it, so it’s used for the simple minded. Clearly, it’s working, as evidenced by yourself.

In case you all are new to this election process, let me put you on to a candidate’s number one subterfuge: relatibility. We like to vote for people who can relate to us, that look like us. You know, people we want to “have a beer with”. It’s how our current president got elected. It’s why a large base of African American voters are supporting Barack, and it’s why women’s rights groups are endorsing Hillary. I think I saw a photo op of Barack eating enchiladas, but damn, you mean to tell me he still isn’t getting the vote? Why do you think that is?

Could it be that back in 2006, the then-little known senator he pandered to the anti-illegal crowd by voting for comprehensive immigration reform inclusive of building a fence along the border? Oh *****, you know what? I’m just remembering what was going on around the same time he did it. Maybe some of yall from Chi can recall those immigration marches? Yeah, that vote coindciding with the marches must’ve resonated really well with them.

Damn, he should’ve just gone to a taco shop for a photo op and things would’ve worked out well for him.

In short, immigration is a complex and widely debated because of the increasing presence of globalization and fair trade. If I were you, I would worry more about how relations with India are going to affect your 9 dollar an hour job at E telecare.

Man, it’s scary some of yall vote.

    @QG&#@:

You don’t know how whites, blacks, and hispanics etc. are going to vote once they get in the both. This is only the primary, so when the curtains close behind you…you can pick whomever you want! It is my OPINION that Obama will not will this election. You actually think there will be a black president in 08′. Please explain this to me if you don’t mind. We still have situations like Jena 6, Noose hangings, and Affirmative Action reform going on in this country. You need to wake up and not be fooled by the the opposition. Obama has little to no connections to abroad countries. I agree with Hilary about the experience. So what he said something different from what you’ve previously heard. It doesn’t mean that he is going to follow through. In the last debate Obama had no answer for the immigration problem. Many jobs are being outsourced and immigrants are working for pennies these days. Look at Detroit and Ohio! African-Americans are losing ground. Not only are we not getting higher education, but we are not keeping those low income jobs either because $26,000/yr. is middle to upper-cl***** in Mexico. QG&#@, you should look past the “curtain” and see what’s at stake.

  106. Andrew

Well, it is crabs in a barrel. We will simple love to pull each other down to get to the top!!

Plus add jealous and you have Al, Jesse and the NAACP. What makes matters worse is Obama isn’t begging for their blessings.

He doesn’t need them to suceed and that just kills them!!

  108. Boooooo!!! I wish they would all just go somewhere and sit down. Really.

  109. Meeko from Detroit

i am really sick and tired of black people trashing Obama. the dude has a vision and he is going to prevail through the grace of god. WE ENED A CHANGE AND WE NEED IT NOW.

im very sick and tired of The Bushes and Clintons, the shady ole chiltin negroes that still believe we are stuck in slavery times and trapped with the aftereffects of the 1960’s. this is 2008 and we are about to turn the world on its ear.

no matter WHOM you are voting for. Black America should be rallying in support and making their voices heard. not fighting amongst each other.

i am the voice of the young people. and from all the comments i have wasted looking at for almost an hour. i am very suprised at what people are saying and doing. we are not united together. Dr. King would be appaled at this type of foolishness and devilment brought upon my very own people. and you run away with it and get caught up in the madness. now what happened if you never voted. it wouldnt matter anyway. people either slept or didnt even pay no attention to the “civil rights voter reinstatement act” that was in 2007 last year.

if black americans fail this time. ***** all of you. i will change my skin color, i will bleach my skin and convert myself to the white people. they treat me more better and embrace me more than my black counterparts. ANE EVEN THEY SAY WE NEED A *****ING CHANGE FROM EVERYTHING……..EVERYBODY EQUAL AND FAIR.

now yall take that to the bank.

  110. Meeko from Detroit

ANOTHER THING I AM BLACK AND LIKE I SAY, I WILL CONVERT MYSELF. TO ISLAM, JUDEA AND THE HEBREW LAW OF GOD. IM NOT PLAYING AROUND. BECAUSE WE ALL NEED TO STICK TOGETHER AND STOP THIS BULL***** AND PUSH OUR ISSUES AND CAUSES TO THE FOREFRONT.

  111. blu majic

^^^ummmmmm…. okay??? WTF? I mean, I support Obama, but jeez, calm down babe.

  113. Cara

I agree with the other person who said, it’s not necessary to call people names just because they like Clinton. Last time I looked that was the point of these election. Just because you are Black or a man doesn’t mean you should vote for Obama. Vote for him because you like what he stays for. Also, I love how Oprah is a sell out before she supported Obama now she is cool as *****. Figures!

  114. Cara

No that isn’t Julian Bond’s wife.

Just like Michael Baisden. Stay away from politics if you are just going to tell half truths and call people names. You make Black folks looks dumb

  115. VicKaLiCiouS

    @blazay blazay

So the Latino’s being used by Bush and Clinton is a good thing? Do you think Bush is still relatable? Candidates only holla at the Latino’s during election time. Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Clinton in office when Affirmative Action was abolished? Please correct me if I’m wrong cuz I was in middle school.

Clinton is about telling people what they want to hear. There are too many illegals here to have Universal Healthcare, it would be such a strain on the economy.

I also will vote Republican if Clinton gets the nod. Every time I see her doing a speech it makes me dislike her more. Last night she grabbed a lil mexican boy that was dressed in Mariachi gear and brought him on stage, just to make herself look like she’s down. Come on now. People need to wake up and not fall for these under handed tactics. That cemented it for me, she’s just running game. LOL

  116. Honest

If you really are for Obama – and you really are an agent for change, then it’s important to change your politics – meaning you don’t need to slander and play the race card against another candidate so that Obama can win. Obama is strong enough to win this election despite his color – not because of it. That’s why the Republicans are terrified of him. This kind of dirty politics, is exactly what he’s against. It’s discrediting to him and his campaign. As a people, we should encourage each other to vote for whomever speaks to you, whomever beliefs and agenda fall in line with your own – that’s what freedom is all about. Do your research – make up your own mind then VOTE.

  117. QG&#@

    @Reggie08

So you think the black vote is gonna be split if Barack runs against Mccain? LOL…That is extremely far fetched. If the black vote isn’t being split versus a Clinton, then the black vote has no chance in hell of being split versus Mccain.

  118. VicKaLiCiouS

I am from LA and mexican’s are racist and will never vote for a black man anyway. BoBo the Clown could run and they’d vote for him before Barack. LOL

Please don’t jump down my throat but I agree with Barack 08 Clinton never. I’m from the west coast and it’s crazy out here. Mexican’s have taken OVER. You have to be billingual(spanish) basically to get get a job here. Which is str8 discrimintion. Mexican kids have a unfair advantage when it comes to employment out here. They get paid more because they were born speaking spanish at home, and taught to read and write spanish (ESL & Billingual cl*****es) in elementary school. It’s not fair.

All I know is somebody needs to make it illegal to tell a job candidate that they can’t have a job their qualified for because they don’t speak spanish. You go to college and educate yourself only to be told no because your not billingual. This is AMERICA, not MEXICO, if you can’t speak English then your bad…learn English then Holla back. That should be motivation to Mexicans. I hope somebody brings that up in a debate. Cuz that ***** ain’t cool. I know that was off topic…sorry

  120. blahzay blahzay

    Vickalicious:

Latinos, or any other racial group for that matter, being used by anybody is never a good thing. Be it Bush, Clinton, or local legislators as tend to happen in the Southwest regions (and California of course). But because they’re the largest minority demographic in the US with a lot of political swing power, it’s bound to happen. I was also very turned off by Hillary parading around that little Mexican boy like he was her golden token, just as I also scoffed when she replaced Patti Solis with Maggie Doyle to pander to black constituents. Was I surprised? Hell no. The point I was making was that politicans use these tactics of media manipulations to sway voters, and sadly, it works–on a lot of people. This is not just employed and successfully achieved against a certain demographic, as was argued by a previous poster. I was offering a logical explanation of why Obama has not garnered a majority Latino vote.

And as far as Bill Clinton abolishing affirmative action: Affirmative action is a policy employed by institutions and entities; it’s not a federal act of legislation. You can’t abolish it; it’s an ideaological practice. But you can abolish acts that support it. While Clinton was in office, he was a fervernt supporter of ‘affirmative action’ as it related to the policy in general, however, you could question that with some of the legislative acts he p*****ed. But Hillary is running, not Bill.

The bottom line is, all politicians will tell people what they want to hear. The vote for the democratic nomination comes down to emotion, and who you feel you connect with the most. Hillary and Barrack differ very little on the issues. I think both candidates are excellent choices.

  121. Pistol Pete

Obama doesnt stand a chance @ winning because racism is far too powerful and all of this obama hype is just hype. whites dont want blks with no more than a broom or a mop in their hands getting paid teenage wages cuz THEY RE HATERSS!!! thats cool tho cuz hate eats you from the inside out…so put some money into botox stocks and fall back. racism will win in nov. <<mark those words

  122. VicKaLiCiouS

    @blahzay

well I believe Obama is a more sincere candidate. Him taking a picture eating enchiladas…well most black folk like Mexican food. Especially on the West Coast. Hillary saying that she ate some good mexican food, and listened to some good mexican music just to get votes is foul. Her parading the little mexican kid around and waving his hand was like the worst thing ever. Just like Bush visiting some kind of workplace and patting the mexican guys on the head (he really did that). It’s like Mexican people don’t kno that they are getting played.

  123. J Star

I visit this website and usually find it pretty entertaining however, I think that it is appalling and extremely disrespectful that you refer to our previous civil rights leaders as the “Negro Mafia” and that those “punk ***** members” need to sit down. The REASON that Barack Obama is able to run in this election, and have a serious chance of winning, is because of this so-called “Negro Mafia” and its members like Juilan Bond, Jesse Jackson, etc. They were on the front lines of the civil rights movement and risked death everyday so that Black people like yourselves (if the writers on this website are Black) could vote, go to good schools and universities, and have the opportunity to write celebrity gossip on websites such as this because Black people have progressed to the point where we have something to talk about.

Think about it-why in the world would these people who spent their lives fighting for the rights of Black people want to put someone in office who they think would destroy all the work that they have done. Obviously, those who support Hillary Clinton have their reasons and they feel she is the better leader than Obama and she can lead our country in the right direction. That’s a choice that they have EARNED the right to make because they have done things for us that we take for granted, and may not have the courage to do now. It’s easy to forget about having to live in a Jim Crow south, or having to have the National Guard escort you to school because some racists may try to hurt you because White people now listen to hip-hop so everything’s all good now. Right? Now, I don’t think everything our older leaders say and do is right, but I don’t think that about anyone. Yet, many people have lost their lives and many more dedicated themselves to the betterment of Black people and their American experience and before you make such disparaging remarks, you should be thankful that they did what they did so you can now do what you want to do.

  124. When I read about Chairman Bond’s comments, I was outraged and I am an NAACP Branch President.

So I picked up my phone and started calling members of the board and staff to try and understand what in the world was going on. Now to be clear, I am not speaking on behalf of Chairman Bond or anyone else, but I will share with you what I was told.

The position Bond espoused was not that the delegations should be seated in accordance with the results of the ‘primaries’. But rather the people of Michigan and Florida should be given some opportunity to vote and indicate their choice, whether that be through a new primary or caucus or some other means. Bond did not talk about what methods would be used, but from what I have heard, his intent was to push the DNC chair to take some kind of action to resolve this prior to the convention.

Since they had been stripped by the DNC, technically no election took place in either State. Bond’s push was that some mechanism be selected for determining the will of the residents of MI and FL.

I tell you one thing if it comes down to the super del. and they pick hillary instead of Obama ( and Obama had more votes) we would have allowed another Geroge Bush to happen.

If the voiceof the people is not heard and only the wants of the government is heard; then our government are a bunch of hypocrits when it comes to democracy. If it does not owrk in our own country how are we goingto help Iraq/Iran establish their own.

If the voice of the people are ignored we should protest. and overthrow the government.

It is a shame that these old civil rights leaders would hate on a new movement but want us to respect them for their efforts. They won’t even support one of their own for the cause of real change. It’s like they are jealous of a black person getting way further ahead than they did. Some black folks are so used to getting hand outs form white that it will not change for them. We need more of the mid to younger crowd to change what our some of theolder people let slide.

Stand for something or fall everything!!!!

  126. truself

oh yeah Hillary by the way just because she had *****ed the president does not mean she is more qualified. Only through real experience (actually having that job or holding that position.. not on her knees) can you be qualified and *****ing does not qulify her for the position if that was the case Monica ho ***** need to run for president as well.

  127. Tracie

It seems that the individuals who choose to criticize anyone who doesn’t vote Black just because are the slaves. You are so stupid and ill informed that all you have to do is hear a few happy words with no substance and you are on the love train. Attacking Black people who don’tbelieve as you do is just as bad as all of the mess the White community has done to us. It’s ten times worse when your own hates you for dummb stuff. Grow up Bossip and realize that we have the freedom to think and support who we want to without the hate youare encouraging. If someone called your mother te degrading name you called Mr. Bond you would be ready to shoot them. You have shown just how ignorant many in our race still are. Grow up and get some Grace please. For real the NAACP is up to some BS and it’s clear who they’re backing whether they say it or not. Neither the Michigan or Florida primaries were completly fair because people knew beforehand the votes would not be counted and that may have kept some people away from the polls who would have gone if MI and Fla had regular primaries. And here in Michigan Obama and Edwards weren’t even on the ballot so if you supported either you had to vote uncommitted. It wasn’t fair and not a true vote. Hillary Clinton along with the other candidates vowed now to campaign in those two states but she “changed” her mind and decided to keep her name on the ballot in Michigan and then visit Fla the minute the polss closed. So is it any surprise her people want the votes in both state counted especially considering she won both states in an unfair advantage.

If the NAACP truly doesn’t want people disenfranchised they should ask for a new fair vote where all the candidates are on the ballot and people go into the booths knowing their votes will mean something. With the DNC has recommended but the NAACP doesn’t seem interested..suspect you say?

And even if the DNC doesn’t count this vote, it has nothing to do with disenfrancizing minorites since it was a democratic primary and not the general election and since not only minorities voted. This is obviously a very thinly vailed attempt at getting Hillary’s ***** some more votes because it’s clear she’s struggling.

To those of you that keep talking about Hillary’s experience could you please tell me what public office she held before the Senate? I mean he has 4 years on Barack in there but he was in illinois state house. I am sure you all can enumerate her roles in the Clinton White House, but here is the problem with that. She never had a public role, except for health care and we all know how that ended. Therefore, her successes and misses are not up for review. She was not a cabinet member, she was not an amb*****ador, she was not head of any of his executive branch positions. She was a First Lady, and as such she traveled the world and usually met with other First Ladies. In Arkansas, she as First Lady but still worked at a law firm . Obama has made it very clear that he will have the very best people working to bring this country back together. If the argument is that Obama hasn’t aid his dues yet, then how is CLinton ready? She has had a much shorter public service life then Obama. Why aren’t the Democrats crying for her to wait her turn, since there are older Democrats who could be running. Hillary and her clan should just say that she is better to do the job, period,if that is how they feel. Otherwise, it is 2008 and the is too much info out there to ever have someone lie to us, distort information, or play any shady games. I personally switched teams when they went to Selma to speak last year and Hillary came out with a southern accent, I was through. I said to myself, she will do anything for a klondike an I a can’t hang. I felt insulted, if you don’t google that she was in Selma on the anniversary of the marches last year and so was Obama. They both spoke at two different churches. I got to see her and Bill for who they really are in this debate, and I don’t like it. Obama has said this will be hard, he has said he will make mistakes and I don’t know about you but that sounds like the truth to me. Obama is the only one that said he would provide insurance for all Americans, but not illegals.Hillary said she would have health insurance to the illegals. She is lying!!! Americans don’t have insurance, but you will insure illegals? How are they supposed to get the insurance? Wouldn’t they automatically be found out when the got the insurance. again, anything to get elected. While Barack took the unpopular stand, in some communities, and spoke the truth. sO , who is selling hope here?If you don’t believe me look for the video of the debate right before California, when John Edwards was still in it. I promise you Edwards and Clinton said they their plan would provide health insurance for everyone.Clinton attacked him and said his plan would leave 12 million people uninsured, forgetting to say who those 12 million people are. She wont say 12 million Americans. Very shady, very Republican like behavior, we can’t afford it.

It’s only an issue now because the race is so close. Florida & Michigan broke the rules and were punished accordingly. No one; the media, Floridians, or people from Michigan made it an issue until Obama has been surging. Where was Julian Bond before the primaries? If this was such an issue why didn’t anyone speak up sooner?

Now rhetoric such as “disenfranchised”, “unalienable rights” are used to defend the people of Florida & Michigan. They knew the rules and they still broke them in spite of the DNC’s repercussion.

The Clinton campaign is over reaching for a rope that doesn’t exist. The rest of the U.S. have spoken, and they’re screaming, “Yes we can.”

    Obama in 08!

Bossip! I know you’re a gossip site but if you’re going to front like you care about politics and riding high on Obama, then why don’t you post his economic plan!?!? He just released it. Put some substance behind your candidate.

Don’t insult our intelligence or perpetuate the notion that we’re only voting for him because he’s Black.

It’s a slow news day anyways. Give me that or a little more Gary Coleman!

Julian Bond owes favors to his old drug dealers.

Why else would he try to stop Obama? Maybe he’s jealous it didn’t happen before he ditched his wife & started snorted drugs . . .

Please let NAACP KNOW THAT YOU / BLACK CHURCHS OR ORGANIZATION WILL BOYCOTT THEM( membership money) {NAACP IS ALL ABOUT MONEY}if JULIAN BOND does not retract statement to give hillary votes for states Obama name was not even on BALLOT to vote for.

  153. foxyuv

why is clinton shady? why are black people being forced to vote for obama? he hasn’t done anything notable to me and i must vote my pocketbook… he reminds me of a ***** that will say anything to get you in bed, then leave you unsatisfied. you have to come with more than a slogan to fix what bush has *****ed up. people need to vote their pockets and not based on what others are shaming them into.
