George Daniels, father of Maxine Daniels and husband of R. Kelly former publicist Regina Daniels speaks out further on Robert’s relationship with their 21 year-old daughter:
Maxine, who was 21 when the relationship occurred, is still in college at Northern Illinois University and “doing very well. Though his daughter was of legal age, he says Kelly still took advantage of her.
“When you’re 21, and if you’ve been there already like I’ve been many years ago, you’re still 15 to 16 mentally. You’re vulnerable,” Daniels explained.
Daniels said he and his wife would hear rumors about her daughter and Kelly having relations, and it took a while for his daughter to come clean and admit it. When she finally did, Daniels said he immediately confronted Kelly.
“He denied it. He lied to me to my face. The reason that I’m talking abut this, it’s not just for me, it’s not for my wife, it’s not for my daughter, but it’s for the public. It’s for other fathers and mothers because it doesn’t have to be a superstar, it could be the dude on the corner. There are guys who sit around and give your child a couple of bucks to go to school and then wait until they get a little older, then they set that trap. See, so I’m doing this really for everyone.”

Well here it is again. Now unlike most folks I do know the man personally and I will say that he does have some major issues that he needs to take care of. However, I do know that he is not the type of person to “make” someone do anything, and given the situation she was a grown woman. When any man deals with a woman there is some swaying that they often have to do in order to get in, to break those walls down, and as grown women when we allow it to happen we have to take everything that comes along with it. I mean it does really make you wonder what is truly going on in his mind considering that he has known this female since she was a little girl. And whomever stated something about his children is very correct. He has three girls and a boy, and no one would want anyone taking advantage or harming their children in any way. I just know that all I can do is pray for him and hope that he either gets help on his own or someone whether it be by punishment of law or something else some gets him some serious help. Everyone has their vices it is just so unfortunate that this is his. I do find it unbelieveable that he is so much in the public eye and nothing is being done about it. Just think about all of those that do the same that are not in the public eye. It is such ashame!! And her parents shoudl have taught her better than that, because I know that my father had some good looking friends around him while I was growing up but I would never even allow them to think that they could cross that line now that I am a darn near 28 year old woman! First off let me say that here’s an episode of feeling betrayed over friendship. If the Danielses worked for him than personally there really shouldn’t be personalities/friendships involved. Secondly, she’s an adult and just as other adults do, she took advantage of an opportunity to sleep with a superstar. Even though R Kelly has known her since she was a child, he started a sexual relationship with her as an adult. I remember when I was a young girl, I was really, really attracted to my mother’s good friend husband. I admired him so much and wished that I was of adult age to physically be with him. I too believe that R.Kelly has some serious issues. I really try my hardest to stick by his side, but he keep doing little ***** to ***** ***** all up. You have fans that are here to support you, but you’re steady letting us look like a FOOL! Please Stop! I do think that he should really seek some PROFESSIONAL help.
