Beanna McFerren Said Her 12-Year-Old Needs His Dad

Rapper Yung Berg’s son’s mother is fed up with raising her tween special needs son by herself, and has asked the courts to force the fallen reality star to be a father.

Beanna McFerren has slapped the former Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star with paternity and family support case in Wayne County Circuit Court, more than a decade after the pair got together in Chicago as teenagers.

“It’s not about me or him,” McFerren told BOSSIP.”We can be two adults and he be there for his son. He needs a father in his life. If he doesn’t want to be in his life, then let us at least see his family.”

The mother-of-one said she’s tried to track him down to put him on child support in the past, but was unable to find him. But this time was a charm, with McFerren telling BOSSIP she was able to serve the troubled rapper with the court summons.

McFerren, a hairstylist, told BOSSIP that Berg – real name Christian Ward – has denied their boy from the start. He convinced her to terminate the pregnancy, but when it was time to pay for it, she said he disappeared.

A few years after McFerren had the baby, she tracked him down again, this time in Atlanta, shortly after he found fame with his hit, “Sexy Can I.” She said she showed him pictures of the boy – who looks just like Yung Berg – but he told her there was no way he could be the father. She said when she pressed him on being more involved with the child, who is autistic, Berg disappeared.

“My son is a 12 year old boy now,” McFerren said. “It just pisses me off that he doesn’t want to admit (paternity). I’ll pay for the paternity test.”

McFerren said not having his dad in his life is having a huge effect on her son. She said the boy often asks where his father is and why won’t he see him.

“I tell him, ‘He’s in L.A., working hard,’” she said. “He asks, ‘Why won’t he talk to me?’”

A judge will hear the case next month.

Berg was infamously fired from Love & Hip Hop last year after he allegedly pummeled then girlfriend Masika Taylor at a New York hotel when his credit card was declined during a night out.

McFerren said she’s staying out of her baby daddy’s drama, but had a few words of advice for her one time lover:

“I would like him to set aside whatever he feels,” she said. “It’s not about him. It’s about our son.”
