Our peoples from Personamagazine.net caught up with BL for some questions:

Personamagazine.net: When, where, and how did you get the line started?
I started out of my moms house almost 10 years ago and sold to a couple boutiques in the Los Angeles area, after I started getting positive feedback about my stuff I gained confidence and shopped my line around to other stores in the States and Japan.
Personamagazine.net: How do you feel about the company now and where it is headed?
I enjoy being able to work with and create custom things for artists and musicians I admire as well as doing ready to wear. I’d love to get an investor or a backer behind me so I can take things to the next level. I’m currently working on a secondary line that will debut for spring/summer 2010 so thats a step.
Personamagazine.net: Who are some of your favorite designers?
I love my friends and local brands such as Alex and Chloe and Grey Ant as well as European designers Nicolas Ghesquière, Hussein Chalayan, and Martin Margiela.
Personamagazine.net: What is your goal for 2009??
More collaborations with my talented friends such as photographer/director Greko Sklavounos and milliner Franc Fernandez.
Personamagazine.net: What was your prized first purchase in fashion as a youth or as an adult??
I remember being really excited about getting Cross Colors and Hypercolor tshirts for my birthday in middle school haha.

    I like Keri’s tights and the outfits of the two models in brown… not sure about Ciara’s. I’m sure the outfit would look better if she wasn’t at an In-N-Out burger SMH. I hope these aren’t promo pix. I know times are hard but damn.

    The silver-screened leggings appear to have the most mass appeal.The jumpers on Ciara & Keri look great for what they do.Just can’t see any woman making that a part of her evening wear ‘drobe.He needs to rethink the tank tops.Biting CHANEL ‘aint it.Good luck.

    This Brian person is one of many ‘fashionistas’ that have re-invented the 80s fashion-wheel. Celebs are sporting these looks and come this time next year, regular po’ folk will be rocking these same leggings and tank tops.
