She’s a gorgeous woman, but damn that hair! And it’s not about “nappy v. straight”– it’s about having a bad weave- period. How are you going to add kinky TRACKS to straight hair?? If she wanted to go all out she shoulda pulled an E.Badu or Jill Scott and just put a full weave in or rock a wig.

She gets an A for effort, but her hair is the equivalent of girls you see with hawaiian silky hair and nappy edges.

That hairstyle is wack!!! The hair is out of proportion to the rest of her body. If you do nappy, there’s a way to do it right. Looking like she got a 35 lb mass of hair on her head. TRY AGAIN!!!

She is still a beautiful women I am not sure where her stylist was going with the look but with that face she still pulled it off.

I love the natural hair, i myself am natural however I strongly believe if you are going to wear weave let it be the same texture of your hair. Or if your hair is a noticable different texture make should you apply your weave so your actual hair cannot be noticed.

Now see what had happened was Eva knew the hair looked bad but it was down to the last minute. Her stylist convinced her that the two hair textures wouldn’t show up in photos since they would be taken from afar. Eva thought she would go unnoticed.

Don’t put in so called “black” hair just because you are going to a black awards show. you don’t normally wear your hair like that so its insulting to do so just because you are going to a black event. it doesn’t make you look more black, it just makes you looks stupid.

I wear my hair natural and I wasn’t aware that the term “nappy” is negative. I’m nappy and I’m proud. But I also have a well-groomed, professionally done hairstyle that is in proportion to the rest of my body and fits my facial features. EVA does not have that in these pictures. I am not offended at all by the word “nappy”.

i think that the hairstyle, was a good look on her. READ WHAT I WROTE hair STYLE. the EXECUTION was janky. She should have waved up the front some more. Put some curls in it and then frizzed it out, so that it matched the back.

There is nothing she could do about the fact that her hair is permed. why is it a bad thing for someone who has straight hair to go nappy sometimes. can it only b the other way around? thats unfortunate.
